What a sorry excuse for a football team we are. Even on the rare occasions we take the lead we instantly turn into a shambolic mess. From the players, little quality, composure or fight on display. The interim coach, or whatever he is, had no answer to a simple but effective tactical switch from Airdrie at half time, (how many near misses from that through ball they kept playing?) The snake oil salesman Beuker leaving behind a squad with zero depth meaning we have guys dead on their feet at the end of every game with no viable options to bring on. And in the boardroom, no apparent leadership, accountability or direction. The transfer window opens in days and what are we doing……. Zero Talent indeed -
QPFC v Airdrie 30 Dec 23

Well done Airdrie on a well deserved win based on the second half performance. I’ll save my thoughts on our own sorry excuse for a team/club for the QP thread -
I’m going to jump in and defend Paton here a bit. I think one of the main problems we have with the squad is the absence of someone who can comfortably play in the number 10 position (at least until Savoury comes back). Paton is basically basically having to cover both positions, often having to drop far too deep to try and get involved so it’s no surprise that in some games he’s not as effective as we would like. I see no lack of effort on his part.

An article online that Tam O’Ware is leaving Kelty Hearts to take up an opportunity at Queen’s Park. Reading this I hope it means that he is going to be part of a revised set up under a new head coach, not that the farcical interim set up that we have in place currently is going to be extended https://www.dunfermlinepress.com/sport/24001151.kelty-hearts-tam-oware-leave-queens-park-role/

We won a game 2-1 against Montrose in October 2013, the “men with educated feet” book wrongly has it down as a 2-2 draw………yes I was bored today -

If we don’t win on Friday (haha) then 13 league games without a win will see us beat season 2001-2002 where we went 12 games without a win at the start of the season, a run ended with a win of East Stirlingshire. The longest we went in season 2013-2014 was 9 games without a win. -

Amazing the players we were willing to dish out three year deals to vs the one that we weren’t -

Probably for the best if we just call it a day and disband the club. Slow hand clap for everyone who enabled the Dutch grifters -

What’s really staggering is that the architect of this season’s squad (not the recently departed head coach but the recently departed director of football) had been here for two years so knew exactly what the league was all about. -

So Tam O’Ware, registered player for the team currently 4th in League 1……..could be caretaker 1st Team head coach for the team currently 9th in the Championship -

That’s a fair analysis. All that’s missing is the influence of the (now departed) director of football on the above. -

A perfect storm of a squad not up to the task (thank you very fucking much Mr Beuker) and a coach out of his depth. A complete lack of leadership and accountability from those in charge (whoever that is) to allow it to get to this point. No fight or quality on show today at all. None.
