  1. Dreadful seven days No new signings for a squad crying out for more depth, two defeats, confidence drained from the young players and senior players no doubt pissed off at being dropped/subbed
  2. “Take off your experienced players when trying to hold a one goal lead with ten men”
  3. Imagine thinking the way to see out that game was by having Thomas, Robson and Thomson come off. Or does he not care a long as the children get “development minutes”
  4. Veldman has somehow managed to treat both Tommy Robson and Cammy Bruce appallingly over the last couple of weeks. Quite an impressive achievement combined with the 0 points and 6 goals conceded.
  5. Going in to today expected us to lose and for most of the game that opinion was unchanged but not going to deny I’m a seething mess right now. Fair play to Raith for coming back to win but having somehow got ourselves into a winning position, the substitutions Veldman made were absolutely appalling.
  6. Really hope we get some news in the coming days about some additional signings but it’s all been very quiet since Williamson went out on loan. We definitely feel light in midfield and up front.
  7. 16 and willing & able to do pirouettes with the ball on the goal line
  8. So no access to terracing for QP fans on Saturday. Does this often happen for smaller supports?
  9. No conversation about successful loan signings is complete without mentioning Paul Walker towards the end of 99-00 championship season. Winning the last 5 games got us over the line and he either scored or assisted all our goals in those games. The winner in the last minute vs Brechin at Hampden is probably my most enjoyable goal as a QP fan
  10. Funny how SPL rules from 2004 don’t appear to apply
  11. Tickets are on sale now for the Arbroath game, link on the website although doesn’t seem to be on the socials yet. Only really block 5 available for home fans without season tickets https://queensparkfc.co.uk/queens-park-v-arbroath-tickets-on-sale/
  12. Nothing announced yet Will be a case of buying them directly from our ticket site. Tickets for QOS fans were released in three broadly equal batches over a few days with a total of around 230ish. Not clear if Arbroath will get as many as that as there will be more demand for home tickets this time.
  13. It does if there is someone coming through the youth team who is not quite ready but they think will be next season
  14. Great news that Dom Thomas has extended his contract for another year already
  15. Seems to be constant news of other teams in the league strengthening their first team this week. Our squad looking increasingly light/weak despite all the talk of systems and processes.
  16. It’s hardly going to be extra revenue though is it. More likely he’s just told is it’s happening as a condition of the existing money.
  17. Based on how the website/app works I’m pretty sure it will be a case of buying them direct
  18. It’s Queen’s Park so don’t expect any news from us in a timely manner. Away tickets for QOS fans were released in batches (by section) so suspect it will be the same for you guys. Not sure what the total will be as likely to be more demand for home tickets than for the league cup game. QOS got 230ish I think. 3 batches of 75-80. I would get in quickly when they do go on sale.
  19. Whilst our team isn’t as packed full of untested youngsters as people might think, our starting team is likely to feature 4 who had little or no experience outside of age group football before now so we will be very reliant on them being a) up to it and b) getting there quickly. The signs from the league cup campaign were mixed at best I would say. I do have real concerns that we will struggle this season, particularly in away games, with the signs being that other than a starting right back, any further additions are likely to be back up. A lot will depend on whether the “south coast 3” end up being as influential as Malachi Boateng (now in the Premiership) or rather David Boateng (subbed at half time whenever he started)
  20. Queen’s Park ICT………disappointing League Cup campaigns Healy for Hepburn the key change for me, fine with any combination of the centre halves, either goalie or either left back. Not convinced by Jack Turner yet but fully expect him to start.
  21. Official attendance announced as 826 despite being a sell out. Was there a gap for segregation or is the capacity even lower than we thought?
  22. I hadn’t even considered the donors wall, that’s really poor, appalling in fact. Making the bar “Queen’s Park themed” is on the list of things that were promised at members meetings but didn’t happen.
  23. Yes even before the red card we were unconvincing at best. I know all part of the process etc. Queen of the South were quite comfortable throughout and had hoped for us to build on the Elgin result. Most frustrating aspect of the second half was us repeatedly floating free kicks and corners right to their keeper. Agree Healy deserves the start over Hepburn next week.
  24. Long shot I know but if anyone has a couple of spare tickets for this afternoon……….?
