  1. Edinburgh City were getting less than 100 in the Lowland League, now they have regular crowds of over 300 paying more. Same with Annan. Like it or not, more people are attracted to watch SPFL football than any other league. Also, clubs can charge what they like. If Talbot or Pollok make L2, they can charge £8 if they want. There's no set charges in the SPFL, or the LL for that matter. In the EoS charges range from £3-£7, the WoS clubs can charge what they like as well.
  2. But you weren't looking to join the EoS, you were wanting to enter the Pyramid as an intact league alongside the EoS creating two east feeders to the LL. You wanted to exist as a separate competitor league, so whether the EoS would or would not admit clubs north of the boundary line is kinda immaterial don't you think. This has been done to death.
  3. The problem over the last two years was the insistance that the ERJFA wanted to become a competitor league in the Pyramid to the EoS, covering the same area and at the same tier 6 level. That was the main issue, and a red line the EoS would understandably not accept and which has been the subject of many discussions on this thread.
  4. Whitburn management team resigned tonight.
  5. Jason King even made my eyes bleed at times, a bit OTT and he didn't seem like a Benburb fan to me, didn't he come back as someone else briefly? You apologised to Glenrothes yet
  6. You've waded into a topic, thrown around some accusations about dual ID's against me for absolutely no reason, then changed tact about my tolerance of others people's opinion completely out of the blue, and completely inaccurate. In other words, all you did was come on here to have a dig. Do you have any mirrors in your house? East Stirlingshire/Bo'ness fan? oooft.
  7. Hang on, you've just made that up haven't you to try and legitimise another one of your claims that is completely wrong. Apology accepted. The more you post, the more you sound like the troll. You dont even tell anyone what club you support, where you watch your football. All very mysterious......
  8. Who knows Lurker, but if you're trying to claim they were me then you are - once again - completely wrong. Are you the troll guy?
  9. theBairn57, cherrywhite, holstein, Caliy, Curzonmid and now traffordab. Oh, and Toots as well.
  10. "Done Deal" Larry accusing people lying? I think it's safe to say he's not done much for the cause of Tayside clubs wanting to test the EoS and apply.
  11. You seem to confuse things a wee bit, Fairweather has posted information that hasn't really changed. The Lowland U20 Development League covers the whole Lowland area (ie LL, EoS and SoS clubs, and now WoS, there's also a couple of SPFL clubs) and already has west based teams in it. Anyone applying will be a member of that league. Last season the set-up was divided into two seeded Conferences of14/15 clubs each, maybe with more west teams involved pushing it up towards 3 Conferences, they may look to divvy up the Conferences on a more regional basis as opposed to seeding them. That would make sense. However you say a "new West Development League", are you confusing it with a possible west regional Conference in the LL U20 League? ex-Junior clubs in the west will be new to this so it's important we get the terminology right. The thread title is probably a bit misleading as well.
  12. I'm sure our U20's, youth and Ladies/girls teams would like to have a shot on the pitch first!
  13. Australia now allows for gatherings of upto 10 people, and football is due to resume in August. They are well ahead of us as far as control of the virus is concerned, but there will come a point in the UK where social distancing will be relaxed if people use the tracing app, as Australia does. September return? Maybe. Grassroots may be better placed than the SPFL for a return. However, it's all guesswork at the moment.
  14. The West Lothian Courier sponsored it, and I think West Lothian Council were involved as well. We got to the final beating Lithgae along the way but lost to Fauldhouse at Almondvale Stadium.
  15. I know I'm going to hate myself in the morning, but for once I am going to agree with Burnie.
  16. So it's peace in our time, all clubs joining the WoSFL for next season. Nobody staying in the Juniors. Maybe people can now expend their excess energy on making sure all 67 clubs make it to the starting line for kick-off, whenever that might be.
  17. Is that the ScottishJuniorFitba twitter account, or the Armadale Thistle account, hard to tell...........hey wait a minute................
  18. I think non-league is better placed to ride this out as opposed to full time clubs, or clubs paying decent wages. A lot of clubs can effectively be mothballed, I suppose it depends how financially secure they were pre shutdown to cover basic expenses meantime, and how supportive fans are. None the less, grim times ahead.
  19. Just the tiresome troll on his 142nd different ID, best ignored.
  20. Well if the EoS have to wait until the SFA AGM to find out if they will lose Bo'ness or not (ie licence decision), then they are quite within their rights to admit a club to replace them once that decision is taken. What's good for the goose and all that.
