  1. We have 6 changing rooms and yes, authorised by the EoSFL, we wouldn't have used them otherwise.
  2. I agree, we're in a fortunate position, but it's right to point out there isn't a blanket ban and all EoS clubs know that. Some just wont be able to meet the requirements as they stand, and if they don't change then that will become a major issue as the weeks drag on. What the solution to that is I don't really know, maybe Govt pay-outs could help with temp buildings? who knows.
  3. Players are contracted for season 2020-21. If a club withdraws and wont play, they're free agents and can leave for clubs who are continuing to play. Surely clubs don't think they can hold players for a season without playing?
  4. Changing rooms can be used. We used ours yesterday.
  5. Chaos caused by the lunacy of allowing Premier clubs to withdraw without penalty and take their place again 2021-22, leading to no relegation/promotion rendering the season meaningless, and Conference clubs being shafted. Think that sums it up. The Lowland League should have had their people on the management committee for the first season or two as was their intention, and only accept applications from clubs who wanted to move. They have imported Junior mentality which has little idea how to run a professional league. Absolutely tin pot stuff [emoji23] On the up side, the EoS Premier has a free run at the Lowland League for another season.
  6. Our cases climb and climb. Is there a direct link between non-league crowds and rising cases?
  7. How does it work in England at non league level who have been letting fans into games for over 2 months now without, to the best of my knowledge, any major issues. I have been to a couple of games down there and it worked very well. Are we incapable of replicating this, why aren't clubs being given the chance? There are a multitude of inconsistencies, a major one being outdoors in the open air watching a game of fitba whilst you can be indoors at a pub, cafe or restaurant only 1m distanced, or in a gym or swimming pool where changing rooms can be used. In fact Leitch has already said it's safe. Whitehill Welfare tweeted last week about all the measures they have in place yet cant let anyone in. They hit the nail on the head.
  8. Interesting reading and there are always concerns given the current situation. There's no guarantees on anything, everyone has their own opinion on how to move forward. From what I can work out, the WoS have created a situation where no team has any incentive to play. Premier because they are guaranteed to retain their place next season, and Conference because they cant get promoted. No licences so no LL play-off either. I'll be surprised if it even starts, an astonishing situation to be in. I think the EoS have dealt with this well under the circumstances. It was the correct decision to start IMO and as you say, a review after 4-6 rounds should be undertaken to see where we are and take stock to see if things are working and if fans/money are on the horizon, and also review the changing room situation, in addition to Covid situation. I very much doubt there wont be bumps in the road or stoppages for some teams or even for the whole league, but we've got to give it a go IMO. The longer you leave it, the harder it is to get going in the first place.
  9. It took some thought. We can reduce it to 6 and split across three rooms and move the refs back to their normal rooms, but we wanted to keep the main part of the building closed where the officials are normally located. All seemed to work well today and we were praised by the ref observer. Officials are asked for feedback on Covid protocols observed at games.
  10. Yip, they use the concourse in one of the stands. The "rule of 25" perhaps [emoji23]
  11. Fill your boots with the complaint emails [emoji106]
  12. I've explained that. Just because the WoS are tearing themselves apart, the LL, EoS and SoS are quite happy to start, and it was great.
  13. I couldn't care less what is or isn't in the guidelines, it's authorised by the SFA and EoS. If you have an issue, take it up with them. Even the SPFL don't abide by the "rule of 6" [emoji849]
  14. No, the five of them couldn't make it that night [emoji23]
  15. Is this loonball still around? Ffs [emoji23][emoji85]
  16. Incorrect, there is no "rule of 6" when it comes to dressing rooms. Players must maintain 2 metre distance, wear masks in the dressing room, and minimise time inside.
  17. That's hardly the revelation you think it is.
  18. I said "most" clubs don't have access to what we have, but those that don't are making use of other rooms, or planning to. The go ahead was only given Wednesday or thereabouts.
  19. One that runs many youth and girls/ladies teams in addition to the Senior side, one that engages in other community activities helping out in a pandemic. It's not all just about the senior team and whether fans can watch or not, although clearly everyone wants fans to return ASAP.
  20. Not at all, if a player doesn't want to play then its a personal decision. Little different to a player asking to be released.
  21. I think its fair to say that giving it a go for 4-6 weeks wasn't really disputed. If there's no prospect of fans or Govt grants at that point, then perhaps a pause may be required. However, there seems to be some optimism that we'll see progress on fans/money by then, fingers crossed. Even though we got gubbed today, it was great to see competitive football again, smiles on people's faces. Never underestimate the power of football. We need fans back.
  22. Who said that? The fact is, by playing we remind Govt of the importance of football, we're not asking for money, we're asking for fans. If Govt won't allow it, then we want a share of the cash being given the English clubs. The sounds are positive as far as that is concerned, but everyone wants fans back even in limited numbers. If we don't play? Then we're not in the forefront of any Govt ministers mind, no football and no fans. Not great for physical and mental health issues for everyone involved.
  23. Aye its not easy, we're more fortunate than others, but it is achievable for more than a few clubs. Need a better solution before winter starts to bite though.
