  1. Aye, you definitely needed sorted out if you're supposed to be a Killie fan...
  2. Coincidentally, that's exactly what I think of Sevco 'supporters'...
  3. Rangers? Aye, pumped out against Malmö, stumbled through against the Armenians, won 2/6 in the group stages, needed two goals chalked off to beat Red Star, needed extra time to beat Braga, and squeezed through against the Red Bull tossers, but aye "Rangers were fantastic". Did you watch all Sevco's games in Europe? Is that how you know they were fantastic ye Quisling? And you come on here sucking up to them to get some Sevco greenies... On the one hand, they want to tell us all how they have one of the world's biggest supports, and then we're supposed to get down on our knees and praise them for beating Braga and a Red Bull team. And if you just want to be 'fair-minded' then I wouldn't bother, when has Sevco, or Oldco for that matter, played fair?
  4. Sevco's "European campaign" should've end in July or early August when Sevco were pumped by Malmo but were instead parachuted (as always) into the Consolation Cup where Sevco's "European campaigns", under normal circumstances, would've been ended by Dortmund but due to a lucky break with Covid leaving the Westfalenstadion practically empty whilst Snake Mountain was rammed with the same mutants that sat back and watched the old team die in 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed the tears after the penalty shoot-out defeat though.
  5. "Everyone knows what Rangers are"...seemingly you don't because it would be "Everyone knows what Rangers were" because they died as of 2012. You managed to mention the dead team's name eight times in that post.
  6. The establishment never stopped swinging. The phoenix club should've worked it's way up the pyrimad rather than being parachuted into the fourth tier.
  7. They, the phoenix club of the former and now liquidated Glasgow Rangers,(although some fans on this thread seem to persist in calling them that) are employing the tactics that the old club did but more vigorously. That is to bully with intimidation and threats and use their ever-willing band of morons that follow follow them to carry it out When fans of other clubs, including on this thread, continue to perpetuate the myth that 'Rangers' still exist then this phoenix club is also using their brainwashing '55' tactics on you too. As for the BBC, they're shitebags and full of the Masonic Brotherhood themselves (step forward Kenny McIntyre for instance). No wonder Richard Gordon chose to distance himself a little further from this embarrassing organisation.
  8. Blues fans starting to believe and feel the love for Big Sam. I think he might be on the verge of another crazy goal scoring spell. It was a friendly where he first scored for us, against WBA.
  9. Is Ramirez actually staying? I'm assuming he'll be leaving after the MSL transfer window opens and we have our recently signed strikers available.
  10. Having a host of first team players as substitutes in the first place Leaving Jack Gurr on Waiting until the game had already started to swing in the oppositions favour and then changing about quarter of the team at once rather than making gradual changes Protecting the players by rest them before the Euro tie and still ended up losing one of those protected to a long-term injury (Hedges) Having nobody to replace Hedges because he had used up all his options in panic But don't bother replying with more shite. It was a throwaway comment about what I remembered about 12 months ago, and the moment I started thinking Glass was going to be rank. I'm wrong, you're right, you win.
  11. During the war, the French put their weakest, less battle ready troops to defend the border area that stretches along the Ardennes because they didn't think the Germans could penetrate the difficult terrain. However, the Germans got through so they decided to move their strongest troops into the region to halt the Germans progression but it was too late and the Nazis marched onwards Paris. By moving in their strongest troops to protect the weakest ones, they had made a tactical move but it failed because the damage had already been done. Does that give you an idea of what tactics are? The team had been doing quite well at the start of the season until Glass made wholesale changes in Kirkcaldy by lining up with the weaker troops. Gurr was one of the less battle ready ones. We lost the game because John McGlynn had learned from the first half where Raith should attack. The game was already sliding away from us, even at 1-1, when Glass panicked. He tried to shore things up with his strongest troops when the opposition already had their tails up and the momentum was swinging towards the home team. Gurr's mistake wasn't just a momentary lapse in concentration. He had been put under serious pressure, as had all the defence, during the second half and he was flustered. Their second goal had been on the cards.
  12. It was the sign of panic rather tactical nous. He brought on Ferguson, Brown, Hedges and Ramsay after the 70 minute mark. And also highlighted to everyone that he had made too many changes and thought he could throw them all the big guns in the last twenty minutes to save his ass. It failed because we were pumped out the cup by Raith Rovers. Perhaps win the match first and then take the big guns off no? Have you got a different take like? Was the 2-1 defeat at Raith actually evidence of master managerial technician that my bitterness can't see?
  13. I was positive too until that Sunday I travelled down to Kirkcaldy. It wasn't so much the defeat but the complete pig's ear he made of the substitutions that started me thinking he didn't know what we was doing. However, I could barely listen to his interviews from the very start. I found his demeanour extremely irritating. Up until that point, things had been fairly positive, the hammering of Hacken, the goal fest in Iceland followed by a battling home win, a routine home win against United, a last minute win on the plastic pitch in West Lothian. The manner of defeat in Sweden I had brushed off as taking the foot off the gas after winning the tie at home. With hindsight, it was an indication of things to come... BK Hacken would finish the 2021 Allsvenskan 12th out of 16
  14. I'm not saying it was a factor, all I mean is that a couple of months Goodwin was talking up McCrorie as captain then he gives it to Stewart.
  15. I think we might need a couple out yet and three or preferably four in (central defender, attacking midfielder, striker and a solid journeyman full-back). Luis Lopez looks like he might be the striker. If we need to make space then maybe we can get Bates and McLennan out the door. Ideally, I'd probably keep both as squad members. Watkins I'd keep but if we can replace him with someone that has a better chance of keeping fit without downgrading in quality then that would be fine with me.
  16. You could be right, I'm not sure if there's any perks that goes along with being captain. Just like at any company, if there's perceived perks that goes along with the position or title then people will want it and it will mean something.
  17. Hmmm, my main takeaway from the opening two games is concern. Concern about that defence, including being without the pick of the bunch Scales, going to Parkhead and concern about the forthcoming season as whole. We definitely need to strengthen at the back. I'm not sure giving, an unproven in the league, Stewart the captaincy was wise. He should've played it safe and gave it to McCrorie like he hinted to. I don't know if McCrorie's Seville appearance was a factor. I have a feeling McCrorie will end the season as captain though. I also think Goodwin is going to drop McCrorie back to central defence for Parkhead. I don't think he trusts Bates.
  18. I hope so. I like the look of Scales but my first live look at Stewart tonight and I'm even more worried than the 30 minutes I saw on TV against Peterhead. Hopefully, just not up to speed yet but that Parkhead match looms large. We've been really unlucky with that fixture first up. It wasn't great tonight but I think the hardest two fixtures in this group are next. It would be good to see our defence under a bit of pressure before that trip to Weeg. One thing is for sure, that bringing in loan players from our rivals in crucial positions with unsuitable back-up is not good.
  19. It looks like from that highlights package that if he had played at Balmoor on Sunday it would've been the biggest crowd he'd ever played in front of!! He looks like he could have problems keeping his weight down, or maybe he's just bulked up too much. That music was awful. Other than those aspects, I'm happy
  20. Bearing in mind that I've only watched 30 minutes of Anthony Stewart so this opinion is worthless but my early impressions were that we won't get bossed about from the big physical strikers that some of the smaller clubs in our league play like Van Veen or whatever he's called at Motherwell. However, against the gruesome twosome in Glasgow with trickier players then he might have his work cut out. He or Scales wasn't tested too much today but we'll get a better idea what we've got when we see him at Celtic Park. I just get flashbacks of the colossus Jerel Ifil playing in the Dean Windass testimonial. I'm not saying Stewart will be anything like Ifil but I'm slightly apprehensive about signing a centre-half that has spent most of his career in the English lower leagues where the expectations can be quite two-dimensional as in head it and lump it. These orders can become quite confused when you've got nippy and skilled strikers buzzing about you putting pressure on especially if you need a bit of time to complete the lumping part. Jerel Ifil was, in my opinion, the worst footballer I can recall playing for Aberdeen over an extended period of time. Ash Taylor wasn't too bad I suppose.
  21. I was also impressed with Ryan Duncan. I only watched the last 30 minutes but I would say there's still question marks over the central defence. Early days, and they still need to build a partnership, but Liam Scales didn't look particularly comfortable and Anthony Stewart looked slightly cumbersome and his distribution into midfield was slack at times and would've been punished at Celtic Park on the first day of the league season. Which is another point, that he'll need to play Bates with Stewart in preparation for that match. Jury still out on Polvara for me too.
