  1. That's a great result for Hibs (and Scottish football). Huge boost of confidence for Hibs. I think Hibs have definitely improved over the summer despite their result against St Mirren over the weekend.
  2. ALF is still some player btw. He scored a good goal on weekend against St Mirren. Clearly looks after himself.
  3. He was very technically gifted but lacked any and all work ethic. Shame really as he had the potential to play at a much higher level.
  4. Clearly a very good player but plagued by injuries. I was recently told Beni doesn't accept a lot of conventional medication for his injuries due to his religious beliefs. If he hadn't had his recent knee injury I suspect you'd have already made a healthy profit off him. Shankland scoring again today (and in Europe) may attract some attention from suitors.
  5. Despite Luzern being a very decent outfit, Hibs are more than capable of seeing them off this round. A win today could be the catalyst Hibs need.
  6. Agree. A packed Tynecastle and an early goal for Hearts and I think Rosenberg will collapse. They are certainly not as good as past Rosenberg sides. Fair play to Hearts for getting back in the tie after trailing 2-0 at HT. Btw did Beni get injured again? I see he got subbed at HT.
  7. I see Partick Thistle have taken Ngwenya on loan for the season. Seems odd given they have Milne. Rumours on Twitter both the Edinburgh sides are looking at Harry Milne.
  8. I don't think we were actually in for this guy. I'm surmising here but my thoughts were that in the event he did sign he'd just be an option from the bench. We need to sign an established number 10. Whether we achieve that is another thing. In other news, McGarry is set to finalize his move to Aberdeen however he won't be available for the Celtic match.
  9. This highlights the differences even better than what I posted previously.
  10. I thought he was very good when he initially joined Aberdeen. Was touted for a Scotland call up. I think he may have even made the Scotland squad. Sadly, injuries got in the way. Kinda surprised McInnes didn't bring him to Killie. I wish him well, hope his injury problems are behind him and he does well for Livi - just not against Aberdeen
  11. If by some miracle we qualify for the Europa league group stages and finish 3rd in the table. We'd then drop into the conference league last 16. https://groundhopperguides.com/the-2023-24-uefa-europa-conference-league-schedule/#:~:text=This round consists of a,year Aston Villa%2C will join. "This round consists of a two-legged tie between eight teams that finished second in the Conference League Groups and eight who finished third in their Europa League Groups, thus dropping into the Conference League."
  12. Europa League prize money compared to Conference League Prize money:
  13. That's as good a draw as we could hope for. Let's hope we see some new faces join in time for the Europa league playoff.
  14. Not at all. McInnes brought credibility back to our club and I will always think positively of him. I was disappointed when he left. However there's no doubt Robson has picked up a thing or two from McInnes. It did frustrate me how Robson didn't make any changes until the remaining 15 mins of the match. Something McInnes was known for.
  15. Aberdeen and Dundee are both keen to snap up Crystal Palace starlet Killian Phillips, but he will need to pen a new deal before being loaned, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
  16. I would have preferred to have seen Sokler (despite being a striker) or Vinny play ahead of him. Morris is struggling to perform at this level. Robson leaving his Subs until the remaining 10-15 mins was frustrating. Straight out the McInnes' textbook.
  17. I expected a slow start to the season. I thought we'd draw against Livingston. It was a point gained on last seasons result at the Tony Macaroni. We didn't concede. Other teams will also struggle to pick up points there. Loads of football still to be played. I'm glad we've got Celtic next week. A difficult match which allows us to get the game out of the way now while we are still building the squad. 2 weeks from now things will begin to look more positive. MacDonald and McGarry will be available and we may have both a defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder in place. Possibly Scales too.
  18. That was an awful standard of football to watch. Livingston played to their strengths. Disrupted and slowed the game. I thought Nouble had a really good game for them. As did De Luca? Duk was no existent. Unfortunately Polvara hasn't really improved since his loan move. Morris showed decent glimpses but his crossing was poor and his first touch was heavy at times. Duk was arguably the worst player on the pitch. Miovski dives too much and needs to get more involved. I thought McKenzie did well against Nouble. I like the look of Rubezic and I really like Nicky Devlin. I think we lost our last two matches away to Livingston so to be ultra positive its a point gained from previous outings there. We desperately need a replacement in for Ramadani. If Scales is signing, we need to speed that transaction up. And its evident we need two attacking minded midfielders.
  19. I miss Ramadani already. Sad not seeing his name on the team sheet. I really hope Polvara, MacKenzie and Morris step up today and prove their worth. Not sure how I feel about Hayes starting. Was hoping Sergio 'MacDonald' Ramos would be starting. Looking forward to seeing Dadia gets some minutes and obviously keen to see Rubezic.
  20. Cormack apparently spoke with Peter Lawwell on Thursday about Scales. In his interview with Graham Spiers he said patience was the word while we wait to learn the outcome regarding Scales.
  21. A defensive midfielder will definitely be signed. And there's a decent chance they'll come from the balkan region. A left sided centre back - potentially Scales on loan although I'd like us to look elsewhere. And two attacking midfielders.
