  1. That was an excellent drive from Lando. Delighted for him, he always comes across as one of the good guys. That McLaren looks properly quick with the upgrades as well, they’ve made impressive progress since the start of last season.

I started bowling with tennis balls last week in an attempt to make another comeback. I'd played 25 straight seasons until covid, and haven't thrown anything since. My arm didn't fall off, so we're still on track.

Also been playing the cricket game on meta quest to get my eye in. It's not the same, but still fun.

First league game yesterday, we got pumped (some late wickets made it look closer than it ever really was). 4 overs 0-18 for me, not great, not awful. On to next week we go.

Sandra teeing it up as “you’ve decided to move on” sums up a season of horrendous interviewing.

”All good things come to an end”. His delusions clearly don’t though.

”I’ve handed out over 100 fines this season”. Maybe that’s a strong clue that the players never respected him. No surprise.

You'd think it's mental when you say it like that but I'm not a fan of Gordon Chisholm and he was in charge during our best spell of the last few decades. I've no idea if he's statistically the best manager we've had mind you. For me it was a remarkable achievement yet I felt that side had more to give and IMO was the best chance we've had/will have to get into the top flight and we were way off doing that.

On Murphy though I think Annan have a ceiling and they're at it now, if not poking their head above it. I don't know if Murphy would be a good appointment for us but from the outside looking in he's done an incredible job at Annan and would certainly be worth a gamble.

I think Jim McIntyre’s side was better than Chisolm’s.

Anyone any experience / know if it's possible to sell a car with outstanding finance? Had our first baby 6 weeks ago and with me now being back at work, the wife has decided that her wee car isn't big enough.

I know that the likes of We Buy Any Car will buy a car with finance but (as expected) their offer is lower than what it would be to sell privately so would rather go down this route.

Just looking to know what the script is with selling privately (i.e. - would the buyer pay the finance company first then any remainder would come to ourselves?).

I’ve always just traded in and had the outstanding finance settled as part of the new finance deal on the new car.

  6. It’s been fairly widely reported over the last few days that he’ll be able to go to another team in 2025, in time to work on their 2026 car for the new regs coming in. He was only under contract to 2026 in any case, he’s negotiated to get out a year early.

  7. Encountering a tailgater on a dual carriageway is always fun. I like to spire to match the speed of the car in overtaking and just hold them behind me for a while, not giving anywhere for them to get through. It’s great fun.

  8. Played a pre-season game yesterday. I’ve never been so cold on a cricket pitch, I was sat scoring the book in our batting innings with 5 layers on. Late April should not be this cold.

It’s a bit of work 😅 here’s a picture of my back garden, taken from just outside the back of it (it backs on to some common ground)

I normally have a player I dislike each season (it's a bit of a habit) but I like to think it's always rational. Am I way off with Ferguson? I genuinely don't see what he brings to the side. At times he was actually standing getting in the way today. Have to feel for Cochrane and Todd (thought the latter was good again today) every week as they're doing the job of 3 men. He seems to have a shot every so often to make us aware he's on the park but I struggle to see what else he does. It's absolutely criminal he starts every week and incredible he stayed on the park today and Gibson and Reilly were hooked. Does anyone else see something I'm clearly missing?

To balance it out, I really didn't like McClelland for a long time but I think the boy has matured over the season. He seemed to give away a needless foul every single week but he's cut that right out, he rarely loses a header and he doesn't shitebag out of challenges. He's constantly shouting as well. Would be happy to see him back next season. Him alongsid Brydon and maybe an experienced guy and we'd be ok at the back. As we were today when Kilsby was finally dropped.

It’s an interesting one, because I agree with you on Ferguson, and Todd being good again today. However, I was speaking to a scout for a potential playoff opponent at half time today and he liked the look of Ferguson, and thought Todd was the big issue in midfield. Intriguing how others can see it so differently.
