Win and we’re safe, lose and I think we go down. A draw and I think we might just about end up ok. Absolutely massive.

2 assists for Gibson, he’ll no doubt be left in that stands next week for that

I thought I might see if I can pay a first visit to Forthill for an international fixture in May and found they have had to delay selling the tickets. Hopefully, we get a break from all this rain. Local comps down here have now moved their opening fixtures from the original planned date. The Cheshire County Cricket League put out a statement along the lines of they understood the issues for groundsman. However, they would not make any changes, then had to reverse this decision. I thought groundsman would be a great job,, low stress job, but......
The rain in the east this winter has been mental. Cricket Scotland have pushed the first week of the Eastern Premier League back a week, now starting on 4th May, with the original first week of fixtures pushed back to the last weekend in August. Normally grounds would have their pre season rolling done by now, but heard of plenty that haven’t been able to get any weight on their squares at all so far. I think even early May will be too soon for a lot of clubs.

Sounds like it’s going about as well as expected

My lawn is covered in mushrooms, any suggestions on getting rid? I’d read just cutting them while collecting the cuttings should work, but the lawn is too big to collect everything and then dispose of it in my garden waste bins, so hoping for another solution.

Remember that you can't park overnight at Ingliston - the airport needs its parking revenue
You can’t, according to the signs, but I’ve done it several times with no issue. You’d be unlucky to get a ticket for it, I think.

Going down to salt and sauce country tomorrow and will try the Ingliston Park and Ride. What’s the score? You just rock up, dump the motor and head onto the tram or do you need to book a spot?
No booking required. Park up and head for the platform

May seem a bit strange, but if you have a local, in-person insurance agent, worth asking him/her where they source their collision replacements. Most insurance companies use “good used” parts whenever possible, and finding a salvage yard that can produce parts that haven’t already been damaged (tabs snapped off, etc) is useful, and much cheaper than new from Kia.
You really do talk a ludicrous amount of shite

Finished One Day last night. Add me to the list of those that got overly invested and emotional. A very good series.

Took another look at the numbers on our home form
Since the start of 2019/20 we've managed 87 points at home in the league from 79 games -
1.1 ppg for 5 years - no wonder folk are finding something better to do than head to Palmerston.
2019/20 - 14 pts from 14 games
2020/21 - 15 pts from 13 games
2021/22 - 17 pts from 18 games
2022/23 - 29pts from 18 games
2023/24 - 12pts from 16 games
An anomaly in the second half of last season saw 6 wins from last 9 at home and three in a row - the fabled run of form that got Bartley his 2 year contract.
This year the worst of the lot and a 4th relegation battle in 5 years, despite playing a league lower
Really awful stats. The bold bit isn’t correct, though. Bartley was appointed on a 2 and a half year deal, there has been no extension since his initial appointment.

Many thanks to all who submitted a list. Kept it to a top 10 due to the number of votes.
The top 10 Scottish Sportsmen* according to P&B is as follows:
10) Jim Clark
9) Liz Mccolgan
8 ) Allan Wells
7) Jackie Stewart
6) Denis Law
5) Kenny Dalglish
4) Ken Buchanan
3) Stephen Hendry
2) Chris Hoy
1) Andy Murray
* including women
First to guess the 3 on the list I had never heard of before doing this gets a greenie
Buchanan, Wells, Clark

Bills eating so much cap, and only getting a second for him plus a fifth and sixth tells you everything you need to know about how they viewed him. Clearly not a good guy to have about.

If ICT come down there is every chance they’ll be part time, and possibly even have a points deduction for an insolvency event. They are not in a good way.
