  1. Logan looks completely isolated defensively on the left. We seem to have a back 4 when Hamilton have the ball and a 3 when in possession, with Logan having no protection in front of him. A goal will come down that side for Hamilton.

Senna considered Clark to be the best and visited his old school.

Clark won 2 Formula 1 titles, the Indy 500, The British Saloon Car Championship, and three Tasman series.

His F1 record (in percentage terms) for most laps led in a season was only beaten last year by Max Verstappen. He won 25 out of 72 races he entered. The reason he didn't win as many titles as later drivers is because he was killed.

Murray held his own against the very best in his field. Clark was the very best in his.

Murray spent his career up against the Senna, Schumacher and Fangio of tennis, though. Djokovic, Federer and Nadal are the 3 greatest to ever have played tennis. In any other era Murray would have dominated for a decade.

Of course it is a way round it.  The insurer can decline new business under one banner whilst accepting it under another with different pricing.  Anyone that thinks that this does not happen is living in an alternative reality.   The rules only apply to the same quote for the same product on the same day.

Additionally they are still allowed to charge different rates for different sales channels.  So for example you may get a cheaper price on Go.Compare than Confused.  Or if someone went direct to the insurer then they do not have to be offered the same price as someone using a comparison site.

There are so many loopholes that it is close to meaningless.

They can’t just close off a book to new business and then ramp up the renewal price. If a book is no longer on sale at new business (they define on sale as new business being less than a certain % of the volume which I can’t recall, or 10k sales a year, whichever is lower) then they have to map it to an equivalent on sale product. I work in insurance pricing, I know the stress I went through when the regulation was implemented. It definitely isn’t close to meaningless.

There is already a way round this.  Just check out who owns which brands and how they offer different prices.  Admiral/Elephant for example.

Differentiating pricing by channel is not a way round it. Insurers cannot offer a renewal at a higher price than the equivalent new business price for the same product on motor and home insurance. Different brands within the same insurer will have different operating models and expense assumptions, hence the different prices. However, the same new business v renewal pricing rules still apply.

The (long term) good news is with all these increases, and people finally shopping ratesbecause of them, some insurers will start offering better rates for new customers to entice them over. Their renewals will slowly creep up, but as long as the customers keep shopping at renewal time, someone will always be trying to attract new customers.

That’s illegal in the uk now, so no, they won’t.

    Holiday insurance.

I had a worldwide policy with Post Office which runs out in August, think it cost me around £100.

I had a stroke on 31st Dec in Poland.  Post Office new all this coz I informed them and their medical team eventually had to repatriate me.

So, I called them yesterday to see if my policy had changed as I wanted to go to Portugal in April/May.

Woman told me that my change of policy (as apparently I was officially informing them I had had a stroke) would cost me an extra £738 until August.

They said I can leave it but I would not be insured for anything that could be stroke related.

They also said that I could claim my Germany trip with my mate for the Euros, (which I had booked before my stroke and I will be well enough to go.  It would have left my mate in the lurch if I cancelled).

Or I could cancel my policy and I would get the money balance of a refund on my unused policy until August.

So I did a bit of shopping around and could get a Europe only policy for a year with Admiral (with my stroke/health issues noted) for £120-£170 depending on policy.

So I called them back asking if they changed my policy to Europe only from now until August how much, if anything would it cost.

The guy said, not only were they unable to change my policy, if I closed my policy (and took the remaining money) it would also close my claim for my expenses I was claiming for (in Poland, about £200 for meds, £3000 for medical treatment and over £500 I had shelled out for my trip to Peru that i purchased 5 days before my stoke).

He said my policy must remain open for any claim you have submitted to remain live.

If he had not told me I would have no idea.  The woman had said nothing earlier.

I just hope my claim is settled before August.  They said they have received the relevant paperwork.

Upshot is, I have a new year long policy that has my stroke notified on it for £154 and will leave my policy open so my claim is live.  As for the £728...chancers!

That just sounds wrong to me. Your policy was in force at the time of the incident, so the claim should be covered regardless of whether you subsequently decide to cancel or not. They are failing in their duty of care by knowingly forcing you to keep a policy that no longer meets your needs. I’d be challenging it further.

What reason does Morrison have to go down in that situation? He has cut back onto his left foot and can either lay it off or swivel and shoot for himself.

The lack of Queens protest says it was a penalty. Usually if a player has dived there are words said, fingers pointed. There was none of that

What you haven’t considered, here, is that this bunch of charlatans just don’t give a f**k.
