  1. Much better sense from last night how Morton draw you into their game. They are physical sure but their press and intensity on the second ball is miles ahead of any team I've seen. Noticed Imrie first to shout to the ref to stop play for Murrays head nock. He didn't stop play but Dougies heart of gold was there to be seen. Happy with the point and wouldn't fancy playing them in a play off. Top 4 pretty well defined now unless someone caves in. Thistle better get their act together with Dundee united up next!
  2. Brilliant effort all round, the hype does work with both clubs pushing how big a game it is. Can't understand anyone like some on X posting comments nitpicking on the "marketing" of the game. Also can't see where the ' won the league at Tannadice" criticism comes from. Haven't seen or heard anyone at Rovers saying it was. A lot of excitement at beating league favourites but not much more. Regardless of tomorrow's outcome we're in a position we've not seen (on and off the park) for years. Out straight from work with my 2 United workmates and can't wait. Both annoyingly good guys so they make it hard to dislike United. The gate both makes the case for there being a group of clubs with something to offer the Premiership and that the cutthroat championship brings more excitement.
  3. Guessing the origin is the club, player, staff, board rep etc. Must travel outward unless its all mischief.
  4. Most annoying bit of this is the rumours come from inside the club. They have done well to avoid this so far. Not great for motivation, allows us gossips to have a field day and probably magnifies a more tepid version of the truth.
  5. Nice editing what was that about folk who are not 1883 members shutting their mouths in your first draft? Hey ho, I like that the Fife Grenta tag is being taken head on. The boldness is something I can see other boardrooms struggling with which is great.
  6. Only flaw in your point being that I'm not a member. Like others I haven't got the spare cash. Just think it's fair folk get a bit of time to take in the detail as a wee perk before we all get the news.
  7. Not your call to make, nothing to do with feeling special. Kinda pointless the club trying to reward folk when you know best!
  8. Well done you, no point letting folk who have been rewarded by the club have a wee perk. How dare they look to repay folk who have chucked in a few quid. It's much better you choose when to break the news to the widest audience than the club.
  9. Its amazing how much Journalists get away with "told Raith TV" I clicked on the Fife today and Courier ones thinking they might have new detail. Good of the clubs volunteers to help journos fill their pages. The press must have saved a fortune in actually paying guys to report on Rovers.
  10. The club are doing a great job in raising the profile. Seems like we are the must talk to outfit just now. I might even break my Si Ferry boycott if reports are good. Others love it and fair play but not my cuppa coffee.
  11. See it both ways, never really bothers me when it leaks. A bit of a kick to the media folk when their work takes second place to an ITK guy. Seems its not a "guy told me down the pub" so maybe the club need to deal with the leak and this doesn't happen. Anyhow, delighted with Byrne staying. Hoping for some central cover still. Edited to add, never met Bill Clark but he seemed to be a good guy. Like an earlier post mentioned a minutes silence fits for this type of loss.
  12. Agree with all of what's been written on Dan, would have been happy if he stayed but an 18 month deal doesn't suit us. More concerned by the tweet that Thistle are after Byrne. Securing him is better than a new signing IMO. Hoping Mathews can push on.
  13. "Good old days" claptrap. If it worked the list D schools, kids' homes, and Borstals would have been empty back in the day. One thing kids with no role models and unlimited freedoms tend to get plenty of is firm back hand discipline. Never done me any harm tosh. The lads are falling from a high height, and now their "hard man ultras" fantasy is shown up for the charade it is. If they have guidance and choose to ignore it, they should find out pretty soon their decisions have consequences. A chance here for both clubs to reshape the derby and how their "young teams" support. Encouraging noises from both so far.
  14. Going to be a bit 2 faced here as I like his stuff. How can footy adventures be able to post the footage before the clubs? Bigger issue is why a 12.00 wait time anyway. Its not like the BBC are using footage for their highlights show.
  15. Just watched the highlights, our entire season in one piece. I dont even recall Kevs save at the start. Ross Millen not buying into the thistle player trying to provoke a reaction great too. Keepers jersey clash was weird and the ref was wildly lenient. That penalty claim for Stanton!! Should have been out of sight, should have been happy with a point. Never satisfied to go out without a bang. Magic, planning to watch it all again tomorrow, never really grasped we can do this on RTV Like others a question if there is going to be a post match can't recall one being so late. Edit- Dont want to appear critical re interview, just look forward to them. Its a great package, extra angles are the difference in quality we are now used to.
  16. Joined this morning, my Dad's attending fewer games so pretty much throwing his entry back to the club. Andy Barrowman presents the case well in another good club TV piece.
  17. Dont think the camera angle captures the refs view and makes a poor decision look worse. Spent the last hour on Rovers media channels after planning to be out with the dog at half 8. The content is off the scale. Like the kind of "on pitch" addition, highlights have gone up a level from already being quality, interviews A1 especially LV10, got fairly emotional watching it. Oh and dugout cam Think we are 4 points better off due to the teams desire. Last 2 weeks would have been drawn at best in previous years.
  18. Wholly agree that the need to "big up" games on social media, get behind kids access, support tifo displays etc it is vital for clubs outwith the OF. There seems to be a bounce in support for local clubs and as such fair play to those putting in the hours. . The Pars tifo was hard to read and a pretty naff concept but it's great to see these groups across Scotland who definetly add to atmosphere. Their efforts should be applauded. The throwing of stuff on the pitch is however noticeable and its going to be a shame that it will take a player getting injured to stop it. Wouldn't do the organisers any favours if that happened.
  19. Football banning order for offensive chaning at the game? Hoping the young team reign in and to be honest completely bin the Norrie stuff. Never acceptable and not what we should be about.
  20. Not the worst derby build up by any means. Funny how Pars fans who say it doesnt matter are all over Rovers social media. Guess the new media team need to earn a wage sure it's a bit cringe but no problem with then keeping fans engaged. I have zero idea what theirs looks like as I simply don't care enough to check. Old firm levels of patter or any fans posting tripe on opposition media. Optimistic but the earlier post worrying about "anaemic Rovers" at East End fair takes the wind out the sails. This year's championship is seriously tasty and hugely undervalued by those in charge.
  21. Asked for my Dad who is on holiday and Raith TV are also streaming so a months subscription of £20 gets you the next 4 games if you are "overseas"
  22. Advised by Hibs to use St Clair Street (nor KDY!) but its first come first served. Person answering was very helpful, generally how I've found it with them over the years.
  23. Personally enjoy the highlights far more with comms. Asked Davie and Ian why they weren't always there when my nephew was mascot. I recall Ian saying extra time in edit and without meaning to speak for Davie he said he wasn't a fan of the idea. He said they cater for radio listeners, live viewers and "in the moment excitement" doesn't always translate. As an aside the mascot package was excellent. A few quid now but it's a great day.
  24. Yeah, sorry me too just used to getting the managers right after the game. Great interview and the bonus of Super Kev with Spanish flavouring was a brilliant. Maybe Raith TVs best opening line As for Kev....whit a boy.
  25. Come on Raith TV I know it's a long trip but what did the boss say? Didn't catch the BBC chat. For a viaplay group game the match was hugely entertaining. We are a right handful going forward. I'm a bit scared to type we look better at the back....but we do.
