  1. I'm not a big fan of cinemas. I'm not even much of a movie fan but I was buzzing all day yesterday to see this last night at the local cinema.

I thought it was brilliant. I'm not going to go in to any depth right now as I don't want to spoil it for those still to see it but my main take is this was a prequel to another TopGun film to be released in the next few years with the main characters being Rooster and Hangman

Best refs for the best games? Conference playoff game between Wrexham and Grimsby could have done with a pro ref.

Or money saving since the EPL level refs are all salaried so  they only pay match expenses where as the lower EFL refs are paid only on a per game basis?

Or was VAR in use? I saw a late flag. So they might have needed a ref trained to use VAR. That is the most likely reason.

VAR was in use but I never gave that a thought. I agree that's the most likely reason.

Her unwillingness to do the shopping online is gonna break me. Using the wean as a reason she couldn't go do some food shopping.

Completely relate to your pain. She doesn't use the wean as an excuse, she just "doesn't know how to" yet seems well rehearsed in clicking and buying stuff onlinr from Amazon, JD Sports, M&S, Very etc.

But it's my fault if I miss something from the shopping online

  4. My work has taken on a load of new starts in the last few months including a new department manager. I feel really old, they are all early 20's with a couldn't give a f**k attitude.

Sadly that attitude is extended to the older experienced staff like myself with a combined 100+ years service. They think they know it all and won't listen to experience.

  5. Wee man came back to the house earlier a bit upset after playing with his pals further along the street. Asked him what was wrong and he told me there was a big argument. Thinking it was an argument involving him and his pals I pushed him for more details (who, what about).

It was two female neighbours, mothers of two of his pals and next door neighbours to each other arguing about Pokèmon trading cards. They are 28 and 45 year old

I am absolutely no admirer of her in the slightest, but given what is happening in the Ukraine, do you really think that describing Sturgeon as ‘a Hitler’ is appropriate?

How else do you describe somebody telling people what to do, clearly enjoying the power they have over others and gripping on to as much power as they can?

If wearing a mask in a place where a large number of people are gathered, why aren't MSP's wearing masks in the chamber at Holyrood yet as soon as they're in the corridors they've got them on?

  7. Let me understand this. I can go to a wedding next weekend, be sat indoors shoulder to shoulder with 100+ others and not need to wear a mask yet I when I go to the local supermarket the following day where I can keep distance from others as I wander around I have to wear a mask while doing so?

She's a Hitler who is gripping on to control for as long as she possibly can and can f##k off if she thinks I'm voting SNP in the council elections

Had a mild drama last weekend where the Mrs thought the baby was kicking/moving less than it's been (25 weeks). Straight on the phone to triage and off to hospital get a reassurance scan - naturally during the wait to be seen it was doing Riverdance inside her, so got the strong heartbeat and went on our way.

We both panicked like f**k - natural maybe, but equally I think we're agreed we need to deal with these things more calmly than we are as there'll be 18+ years of dramas to come.

Don't never go get checked. Best case scenario is everything is fine and baby is just being a little sh#t. It's all part of the trials of pregnancy.

I remember my missus having a bleed one night when she was about 6 months gone. We were both terrified of another miscarriage but after a check at hospital all was fine.

  9. She wanted and bought brand new clothes pegs in October to use this year because she thought the ones we were using were sh*t.

I had the "pleasure" of being first to use these new ones today while hanging out bedding. This was the result

That's a pillow case trying to escape, 3 times I rescued it before shoving it on an airer inside. Can't wait to tell her "wouldn't have happened with the old ones that actually kept a grip"

Why do women have to change things for the worse? Why can't they leave perfectly working things as they are?20220317_125547.thumb.jpg.52d1b7bfd6a9cc9f49ea44598f409aae.jpg

Yes but the flip side of that is that without fans buying ST's we wouldn't have a club to support or hope gets back to where it belongs.

The fans are never to blame and buying season tickets and sticking around when the football is as bad as it has been the last few years should be commended, not ridiculed.

That's all fine and well but would you keep paying money to a pub/restaurant if the food, drink and service was shit?

  11. I missed the first half of the Scotland game today but saw most of the second half. Disappointed we allowed Italy to come back into the match but job done. Reckon we will get beat by Ireland next Saturday to end the tournament with the same record as last year. I'd like to see some progress in results.

Really disappointed with Ireland today. Thought it could have been a cricket score with such an early red card and 8-0 lead. I wonder if the red card gave the English a point to prove and the Irish forced things too much causing them to make too many errors

The season ticket numbers are going to be very poor next season!

I said this a few weeks back but I'll say it again. This statement has been made every season/close season for the last 3 or 4 yet every single time, 2000+ rock up and pay their money for season tickets. For as long as those numbers remain constant, nothing will change.

The cost of living will have an impact on folks ability to afford this but then the sob story emails will come out and the Facebook group will be "you're not a true fan if you don't buy a season ticket"

Honestly, after Miller and McCracken, Sheerin and Rennie, all of which were left field "lets get away from the merry-go-round" type appointments, with each more disastrous than the last, just get back on the fucking thing.

Give me someone that actually makes some fucking demands of the players under them. Give me someone that doesn't accept the cowardly performances we have seen for the last few years.

Time for the Yogi chat again? Granted if he keeps Dunfermline up he'll likely stay there
