  1. She is a beauty. Seen something about how Tav could become the first defender to win a Golden Boot outright in European tournament history. Would be him and Koeman in ‘94. https://www.theguardian.com/football/these-football-times/2022/apr/28/ronald-koeman-champions-league-golden-boot-defence Just really fucking odd.
  2. I don’t think this is what those boys meant when they posted about looking forward to seeing **** getting pounded.
  3. https://en.eintracht.de/news/the-one-and-only-141720
  4. I can see Kent getting doubled up on a lot more than he was, hopefully that and an outsized focus on Tav leaves space for other players to come into it.
  5. Going on holiday in 2019, after playing Sevilla in 2018 and having warrants out for them for being drunken dickheads. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7310153/amp/Five-Manchester-United-fans-arrested-Spain-drunken-rampage-flying-holiday.html Less that, though their fans do have a reputation. More the tactical build up etc, there was a good piece on Rangers from a German perspective and the route to the finals they posted.
  6. The pictures are of some United fans. Thought I was going to make it to tomorrow before the nerves really kicked in but reading the bits and pieces on twitter from Sky and Frankfurt has absolutely fucked me.
  7. Not even last year; the lead up to Seville has seen plenty climb up on high horses that they’re now falling off. That’s objectively funny regardless of support.
  8. How patronised must those Hearts players feel, knowing that Clancy is giving them the wee team treatment against the Rangers kids?
  9. Expect that over the game we’ll see something like; McLaughlin Devine, King, Sands, Miller (for Balogun after 70 minutes or so) McKinnon (Davis), Lowry, McCann (Ramsey dependent on how many minutes in the legs he needs) Ritchie Holster (Arfield), Itten, Weston (Amad) or something like it. Try and get our average age down to under 25. Any news on what’s happened to the kid bought in under Tav?
  10. Saw people criticising him for the goal. Clearly he’d been told to avoid any 50:50’s because that and the one on Sakala were just c***s trying to be c***s.
  11. Least we’ve got the new clip for the ‘will VAR not ruin Scottish football?’ debate.
  12. Normally UEFA would be able to intervene and suggest a combination that didn’t clash, plus there’s not many teams in European football with black home kits, it’s just an unlikely combination of factors.
  13. I’d prefer the white one personally. More of a throwback to this beauty.
  14. Doesn’t look like there’s any room to manoeuvre on it. Frankfurt and Rangers get to pick, UEFA don’t interfere with Frankfurts decision like they can in the groups or any other game. Any clash, Rangers have to shift. From; Regulations of the Europa League 2021-24 Cycle Subsection 10 - Article 55 (lol): Colours As opposed to; might be a catch all ‘don’t be a dick’ clause that I’ve not spotted but looks like it’s white or orange.
  15. Going by the Colour of Football Instagram account, these are the different kits and combinations that Rangers registered with UEFA at the start of the season; The away is obviously out if Frankfurt get to go with their home kit. Seeing some people saying that the third way there, all blue and white topped might be allowed but not sure. Don’t know about how much UEFA would lean on Frankfurt/what the rules say given that there are no clashes between their away and any of the Rangers kits.
  16. Rangers doing their best for the wider community and keeping those Celtic fans occupied.
  17. Seen some doing the day and a half boat from Portsmouth to Santander and driving.
  18. Wright was absolutely vital for the second goal though?
  19. I’m full of the same nervous energy and fear I was before the Leipzig away leg. Finals are finals, they’re weird and form predictions generally don’t mean much. f**k knows. For me there were two clear breaks in our plan, Jack going off with an injury/cautionary and Aribo. Jack gives so much to the shielding of the defence and breaks up so much play, him going off pushed us 10 yards backwards. Aribo might not have scored his chance, but he was an outlet and able to trap the ball with his back to goal a lot as an out ball. Sakala offered something over the top, but it wasn’t as great at reliving pressure. Putting Balogun on, and therefore pushing Bassey out to a hybrid left wing/midfielder role helped, and f**k knows how he was battling three players at 92 minutes given the shift he put in.
  20. I think the podcast market ate their chips on that kind of analysis though. If I want an in depth view of European football, I’m going to something like the Ramble’s On the Continent pod, because they’ve got three experts without much editorialising discussing it. Or to a more specialised Bundesliga/La Liga/Serie A focussed thing instead.
