  1. Sad to see Kamara go as well tbh, he was probably the best player in that central area we’ve had since Edu, with a similar goal scoring prowess. But if he’s not putting in the effort and Beale is clearly not going to play him I’d rather his spot went to one of Rice or Lovelace on the bench. Unless Bisgrove manages to enter the club futsal World Cup and he rockets to first on the team sheet.

If you are implying that the Police would stop Rangers taking their ticket allocation at Celtic Park due to safety concerns then that negates Celtic’s whole argument if they are refusing to take tickets for Ibrox on safety grounds. How can they demand that we ensure the safety for visiting support if they themselves can’t do the same?

If you employ a simple rhetorical device of ‘pure Rangers scum, Celtic angels’ then it’s easy.

Ryan Kent getting his yearly quota on his debut.

    Good for him.

Not sure how reliable Football Scotland is.

but the Glasgow Times report that Rangers expect to be offered the same amount no matter what when they travel across the city to Celtic Park on December 30

It’s not really a case of reliability, they’re just reporting ‘Celtic bound to fulfil terms of competition’ and dressing it up as news.

From what I’ve watched and read about him. He is coming with a decent pedigree having been at both Ajax and Feyenoord and he seems fairly well rated by the Feyenoord fans.

And while he wasn’t a regular starter, a goal every 146 mins and a goal involvement every 114 mins across all competitions last season I’m hopeful will translate well into a league that’s likely inferior than the Eredivisie.

Why wouldn’t I be excited by a signing where we are making a considerable outlay.

Last two years across the Dutch competitions he got 9 goals and 2 assists from the 16 games he started for Feyenoord, and 13 goals and 4 assists from the 12 starts for Ajax/Ajax Youth.

Clearly it’s not ended well for him last season, but if it had we’d not be getting him. If he’s not a super sub and needs to be in the team consistently to get the best return, no bad thing.

  5. Interview with Bennett on finances and comms, holds hands up and says they are need to improve both.

Already the pram-chuckers are labelling it a horrific car crash.

"I learned long ago not to judge a new Rangers player within weeks. I go way back over my supporting life as a Rangers supporter, I've seen more players take time to settle than those who hit the ground running.

"I can talk about individuals if you want but I certainly looked at Tom Lawrence and thought 'there's a player who's hit the ground running' and then events, things happen, injury. He's hit the ground running, others haven't for various reasons. So, I would say this to you - we're six or so weeks into the season, I won't judge a football player who comes to Rangers within that period of time, I've learned to wait a bit longer.

"We haven't seen enough of them, we haven't seen them enough. We will see them. If you take another young player we have signed - (Ridvan) Yilmaz - yes, we spent significant money on that transfer but we signed him for five years, not five weeks, not five months.

"I won't wait five years to judge him but nor will I do it after five weeks. I would say if we need a very recent reminder of why we shouldn't judge players early in their career - I suggest Calvin Bassey, I give you Rangers vs St Mirren in the cup and I do remember a noise - maybe not a clamour - but I do remember a noise around young Calvin, negative noise and questioning him.
"Look at him now. When it comes to young Calvin, a finer young gentleman you're unlikely to meet. He represented this club on the pitch and off the pitch, impeccably.

Could do with that being printed somewhere big and easily legible.
