  1. There is nothing to stop them as far as I am aware.
  2. I see Stevie Aitken has given his latest words of wisdom for the week, however I’m not sure he knows what he is talking about given the content of his last 2 or 3 interviews.
  3. I agree, although I wonder how hard the SFA are pushing it. Overall it is a bit of a farce though.
  4. The cynic in me says it may be a deliberate ploy to try and cheese the clubs off to such an extent that they just give in.
  5. I believe the meetings were postponed until early next week.
  6. So it’s not relevant in the context of the conversation in the last few posts? It was pointed out by a couple of posters that part time players working in factories were more susceptible, the same goes for full time players in many regards.
  7. The whole part time v full time thing is a bit misleading. The full time players are still going home to their families etc, some of whom will have been out working in various different workplaces.
  8. The leadership of the SPFL are shitebags, they will not take a decision on this for fear of being criticised, they will want the clubs to do it for them.
  9. The only thing you could argue is that all teams were supposed to follow a set of protocols. I’m not sure how closely they were followed right enough.
  10. Football appears to be held to different standards than the rest of society.
  11. Probably the best known fan in the LL, a sad day for all.
  12. If you care to check back on the replies to my original post, I was met with a degree of what I would describe as uncalled for hostility, and perhaps I reacted in a way that was not appropriate, I apologised for that. Despite your insinuations that I am not “new” on here, I am, and I have clearly made an error of judgment in asking what I thought was a simple question regarding what is clearly a very emotive subject. I won’t revisit this particular subject again, which I am sure will delight many .
  13. I think you have proved my point. My understanding was that this was a forum for opinions and questions, however it appears that only certain opinions and questions are allowed. I’ll bear this in mind before any future interactions.
  14. I find it incredible that the simplest question can trigger some people to this extent. You believe what you like, if it suits your theories.
  15. Entirely your prerogative, it is a forum after all.
  16. No arguments from me. I was asked why I thought they were doing what they are doing, and that seems the most logical answer.
  17. Because they have nowhere else for their players to play, and because they probably think that anything below tier 4 is not a suitable standard.
  18. To be honest I’m not entirely sure, it’s obvious why Rangers and Celtic are doing it, and it would probably be a far more convincing argument if other teams showed an interest. Overall, I would need to see evidence of it benefiting the lower leagues before I would get on board.
  19. Quite possibly, I should maybe have used a stronger word
  20. I think judging by the amount of phone calls Mike Mulraney reportedly made on Friday to various chairmen and journalists, then I think I would say he is correct.
  21. Thanks for that summary, very much appreciated.
  22. I wasn’t necessarily directing my comment at you. I apologise to those who were upset by my question, but being new on here I thought I would see if anyone would offer a quick answer rather than having to trail through multiple pages.
