Why no talk of actual SNP MSPs perhaps abstaining or voting for the motion. Is he guaranteed 100% internal support?

I suppose its possible when you have malcontents like Fergus Ewing.

Although, would he want to ruin his final term and blacken the family name by being remembered chiefly as the guy who "brought down the SNP government"?

Chucking in, trying to save Grangemouth

Should all parties not have been calling for that anyway

A capitulation which got an afternoons media coverage

    "trying to save grangemouth"

Its a bit unclear what the Scottish Govt can do to "save" the Ineos plant, when Ineos is a privately owned company and can basically do exactly as it wants*.

HY could say to Regan "aye, of course we will try to save it" and it wont make a shred of difference, as Ratcliffe etc are simply motivated by money.

*I am no fan of Ineos, Jim Ratcliffe or how they operate - but its important to separate what we want with what is actually realistic or achievable.

How much are they to town?

ETA, just checked Málaga. 4 euros each way on the bus. Is that also "a ripoff"?

Glasgow's being a ripoff too doesn't make Edinburghs any better

I don't think the prices for the bus or tram journeys are a ripoff.

You obviously do - so can you give me an example of any airport that offers 2 public transport options to the city it serves, for less than £8 or £9 return?

Technically speaking, Yousaf doesn't have to resign if he loses the vote.  He can just say "f**k it" and go on.

Anas Sarwar has now lodged a motion of no confidence in the Scottish Government.  Douglas Ross' motion is in Yousaf himself so if Yousaf resigns then the motion will be dropped.

    Is he just incredibly stupid?

ans - yes, yes he really is

Surely the funniest outcome is if some backbench jobber from any party accidentally presses the wrong button when voting and ends up keeping/dumping Humza.

Sure that happened a few years ago - Kezia Dugdale pressed the wrong button on some vote.

Wouldnt put it past some of them not to understand if they were meant to vote For or Against the motion.....................

He should either resign and let the SNP try find a leader who the Greens will have confidence in

That would be pretty much anyone but Humza.

I think he might be persuaded this is the only course of action over the weekend.

Lets be honest, its the only realistic outcome. Labour couldnt get into bed with the Tories ahead of the UK GE, that would be a gift to the SNP and remind people of how those kunts worked together in 2014.

Seems weird not to just build the flats over the top of the bus station, effectively making the busses underground, like you would imagine it will be semi high-rise anyway.

Used to be kinda like that in the 1980s, when there were a few office buildings that went over the station.

Cant really see in this pic, but the exit to St Andrew Sq was just to the right of the Travellers Tryst pub.

    We'll agree to disagree

The  fact that Edinburgh's tram system charges considerably extra only for the airport,a mere 400m from the last stop at ingliston, tells you all you need to know

You said the public transport options are expensive.

    They are demonstrably not.

As a comparison, the Glasgow airport to city return bus journey costs £16..........

Ash Regan on the radio sounding very much like an abstentionist. Unless maybe her boss tells her to do otherwise...

Alex Salmond knows that he can extract a price.

If Regan abstains, Alba go back to being irrelevant (their natural state).

I often have to go into the left hand lane of an exit from a roundabout. The exit is on the right, 270 degrees , third exit. There’s no official lanes on the roundabout or entry road although the traffic usually settles into two unofficial lanes on approach and on the roundabout.

Should I be going in the left hand approach? I go on the right and cut across on exit, even though I think I should exit into the right hand lane then change, strictly. But other c***s come all the way round on my left sometimes. I suspect they’re in the wrong because they’re usually in Audis.

    What’s the rules here?

I suppose it partly depends on the roads (i.e. some roads off a roundabout are small or take little traffic and local rulez seem to apply).

From what you say, I would take the right lane and watch for people cutting in from the left.

But then..............I drive an Audi 😉

swiftly followed by the airports public transport option ripoffs

Its £8 for a return on airport bus, £9 for a return on the tram.

Based on the many countries I have visited, these public transport options are a fucking bargain......................................

Is he not a member of Alba, he'll probably be a good source for stories about them.  Who knows though, all up in the air.  I'd be very surprised if Alba voted against the motion but what do I know.

Alba will do whatever is best for Alba - and whatever makes them feel relevant.

Humza Yousaf’s letter to Lorna Slater and Patrick Harvie.

Bit of a contrast there with the statements by the Greens.

Thats because the Greens "have been denied their day in the sun" or some other shite.

They are spitting feathers because the SNP binned them, rather than the other way round.

Will be interesting to see just how grown up they actually are now.................

It's the closest you can feel to being a Formula 1 driver - commit to the move, or die

Worst place I have driven is Corsica.

French, but with a massive Latin machismo culture on the road.

Lots of mountain roads with cliff edges and blind corners - ideal for overtaking if the number of roadside shrines is anything to go by.

Locals drive their stupid wee cars like the F1 drivers you mention above, right up your hoop, pull out with no indication and cut back in forcing you to brake hard.

    Wankers.

Was in France for a few days there. Had almost forgotten how bad the general standard of driving is. The attitude seems to be “I am driving on this road, this road is mines” which I guess is an incredibly French way to look at it. What it means for every c**t else is that they have to be absolutely on their game the whole fucking time.

I have driven in France a lot and you are not wrong.

In order to survive you need to drive "assertively".

I am going next week in my own car, so assume the UK sticker and plates will attract even more kunty behaviour than normal.......

I wonder what the Council's stance on planning permission for houses would be.

One of the items under consideration by the council is compulsory purchase which would be amusing............

I'm not sure that the Coal pension scheme isnt simply trying to extract a larger rent post 2027.

I'd heard similar - that there won't be further charges because there is insufficient evidence.

    We'll know soon enough.

Which is basically how things happen in any other case.

What exactly do Wingsy and the rest want Police Scotland and COPFS to do?

They were unhappy with a weak case proceeding against Alex Salmond but they want this now - hmmmmmmm

Ah well no, even though I'm out that way for most home games, it's a bit of a trek, but ye know maybe worth a call if they'd charge me less than a grand. Thanks.

If only I had known, I could have popped in and asked how much !

I was sitting in traffic outside it (well the lights at the Sainsburys petrol station) an hour ago after dropping my son back off at his gaff in Glasgow !
