  1. Alex Rae was insufferable for 120 minutes tonight but the commentary should have been handed over to him for the trophy presentation. That was his time.
  2. Nasty for Girmay, sounds it won't develop into anything serious and just requires rest. Screw top bottles from now on. I hope today's stage end has the crosswinds required to split the peloton.
  3. I don’t think you can pinpoint that on McCarthy, that was the week Dunne was dropped and he was linked with Aberdeen. It could’ve been any one of them. It was a daft comment regardless. McCarthy was linked with teams at the start of the season and got dropped by Goodwin. Probably overshadowed at the time by all the nonsense about McGrath. Alnwick and McCarthy both moving on through their choice doesn’t suggest Robinson had an issue with either of them. 1 or 2 centre backs required as replacements especially if Robinson is to maintain 3 at the back as Dunne can not be relied on.
  4. If it weren’t for homegrown rules Curtis Jones would be nowhere near a team like Liverpool. Absolute rubbish.
  5. It was tremendous viewing from start to finish, I had it on GCN+, compared to the midweek stage when literally nothing happened all day there was hardly a moment of rest today. One hell of a crash by Tesfatsion, not sure what line he was attempting to take with a left-handed turn coming up. Just need it to remain this close going into the final time trial. Just noticed Yates lost 11 minutes, must have blown up big time. Whatever the knee injury he sustained before the Giro must be pretty troublesome. I would imagine that might see him head home after today.
  6. But it was only an interim manager while everything was made perfect for Jack Ross to manage his boyhood club
  7. Watching that game last night was heartbreaking, there is zero chance St Johnstone lose to either of them. I am hoping for a miracle, but at the age of 37 Kirk Broadfoot is pathetic.
  8. No brainer to keep McCarthy if he's prepared to stay. Inexplicably dropped for Dunne at the start of the season just to shoehorn in a left footer to the back 3. Unfortunate that his injury return coincided with the time we went on a run and struggled to get back until the last few weeks. Good defender and should be kept IMO - would imagine he would fancy his chances to move on and get more money.
  9. 3 points off a European spot. Maybe Tony Fitzpatrick’s shout wasn’t so wild after all.
  10. Good win & good performance. I thought Erhahon, Main & Marcus Fraser had fine games. Gogic as well, would love to have him for next season. Charlie Adam looked hopelessly out of his depth in the first game of the season and that hasn’t changed throughout. His season highlight reel will be a hilarious dive and an atrocious ball back to his keeper.
  11. Gretna possibly? I’m sure they were officially relegated at Love St. I’d have Erhahon in for Ronan as the only change.
  12. The best of the Grand Tours IMO. I’m well on board with the road stage start and TT on day 2, much better start to proceedings. Doesn’t look a particularly favourable tour for the sprinters with limited stages that look set up for them after week 1. Hopefully the Italian broadcasters are well equipped this year for when the route goes into the mountains.
  13. Ronan is a tremendous footballer, been outstanding the most part of this season. Probably had a similar impact this season as McLean did when Teale was the manager & earned his move. Great player and great signing by Goodwin - I hope he goes on to have a good career down south, he certainly deserves it.
  14. Why else would Rangers fans eulogise him? Obviously the players he has worked with hold him in high regard, likewise with kitmen at many other clubs. In the main I don’t think fans could give 2 hoots about kitmen because from the outside it has absolutely no bearing on what you are paying to see. Celtic aside given their kitman’s achievements, if he is still there. Jimmy Bell was lauded for being one thing only - stuck in the dark ages.
  15. Sassuolo would be a cracking move for him, I hope he gets it. He’s a fine young player destined for better things. I think it is best he moves on this summer as he isn’t getting a fair chance at Saints and will be up against it any time he does come into the team.
  16. Get yourself a half & half scarf, it will remind you of the better times.
  17. Would be great to relegate these deluded diddies, unfortunately we are relying on St Johnstone holding up their end of the bargain to be able to do that.
  18. Two of the worlds worst on display today, Liam Gordon at defending & Andrew Dallas at refereeing. I know all referees are bad but Dallas is comfortably the worst of the lot. He’s an arrogant wee p***k with horrendous decision making. Now we have the chance to relegate Dundee, all going well, a great prospect. Main played very well. I was laughing at McCart having a go at Grieve when he did the exact same after a header with Main early in the first half. How Gordon didn’t get a second yellow for the challenge on Main, I’ll never know then again it was Dallas.
  19. Given that the current crop of ex-Motherwell players are shite, I look forward to seeing a full squad of them.
  20. Don’t worry we’ll take care of that for you. If not, 4-0 St Mirren
  21. Andrew Dallas will be as well refereeing the game standing beside the monitor with the amount he gets wrong, he’ll never be away from it.
  22. St Mirren board did in the most recent quarterly consultation, nothing binding came of the vote but they wanted to gauge opinion on it.
  23. Hard to put a price on the ability to fall to the ground every time the ball comes near you. If Goodwin can take any of his other ex-Motherwell players with him as well that would be much appreciated.
