Brilliant signing for us, adds another winger to the squad which is what we’ve been needing I think. It means we don’t over rely on Webby as much.

I wonder if they will raid some teams in league 1 now as they have heaps of money and the appeal of full-time football. Hopefully they haven’t offered Cammy Ballantyne or Rusty a contract so we are not competing with them for the services for next season.

That’s probably us for the season then with a couple of loanees.

Montrose have only released one player so far: Lewis Hawke

We’d be more than glad to take him back if he’s punted. Plus McCall played him badly in that last game against us.

Why would he want to undo his progress at Montrose though? It’s completely illogical. When he goes it will be to a full time team not part timers.

I think SP changed the shape a little and he had a bit stiffer competition in where he may have fitted in. I also noticed his form dropped a tad which may be another reason.

It’s absolutely a good thing we’re disappointed that we didn’t make it through, it’s a testament to how far we have done. I don’t think SP will move on next season, I think he’ll want another crack and we’ll see what happens. I think we need to change the squad a bit though, this squad is not bad but I don’t see us challenging right at the top without taking on some good players. I hear we’re in the running for ex-smokie captain Mark Whatley. Thoughts lads?

Same, didn’t think most of the season would be played

Still not got over the excitement of last night. I honestly thought Thistle played Blair Lyons badly and didn’t cause us as much damage as he could’ve. I think it’s a testament to where the club has come that I would’ve been disappointed if we didn’t make playoffs. Hopefully we go even further in the playoffs and give a good account of ourselves. There’s even an outside chance that we’ll have an Angus derby next season!

I think we beat them in the league cup before their first season in league 1 started

The dream continues. I didn’t have the opportunity to watch the game, but hopefully we have a similar result against partick on Tuesday and put in the the same performance. (If it was any good that is!)

Ross is an absolute legend, it was great to see him have a one minute cameo against Cove and give it all. Over the years he has been a great servant to the club and I hope he doesn’t hang up the boots any time soon as he can still have a big impact in a short period of time, a particularly good example was against Brechin a couple of years back. I’ve also noticed our set-pieces have been a lot better recently and I’m presuming that is down to him.

I was so nervous last night, the 2nd half felt like we were going down the same road as the game against Airdrie. But Cove had clear cut chances and didn’t take them. I was a bit disappointed with the cove red, but I can see why he did it. I’m still a bit unsure about the split, so does it mean we can’t come 6th now even if East Fife get more points than us?

Please just win or lose on Tuesday, would be a big favour for us if it wasn’t a draw, we just need a win at least and the rest is in your hands. We may still get past Airdrie if it’s a draw, as we have the incoming 6-0 victory at Cove!

If we play like how we just played against killie, bar the goalkeeping errors, then 100%

Both our keepers are shit. My point is proved on that we have a goalkeeping issue. We don’t have a consistent, good keeper who doesn’t make silly mistakes like that.
