  1. Why is it pleasing to you to have the thread you created tick along nicely? Does it make you feel important?
  2. Aye one step at a time mate. Let's see how things go in Belgium.
  3. I'd happily have it closed. I just feel compelled have to address silly posts.
  4. I'm happy with Taylor coming in at left wing back or Cooper coming in at left centre back or would also be interested to see how we get on in a back four. I agree Doig in for his debut away to Denmark seems unlikely. Liam Cooper might be exactly what we need defensively against Denmark and he was excellent against the Netherlands in the pre Euros warmup which I think people forget.
  5. In the past I wanted all Scottish teams to do well in Europe including Rangers, but last night I couldn't have cared less - if anything I was slightly happy they lost.
  6. Taylor, Doig or Hickey at left back?
  7. What? No one ever said it's okay to lose every game and Steve Clarke hasn't done that. The pressure would only come from some demanding sections of the fanbase and media who choose to focus on the negatives, overlook the positives. We are at a point where we are trying to make a breakthrough from 3rd rate National team to a 2nd rate National Team and beat teams above our level so we are obviously going to hit some hurdles and plateau. We are going in the right direction even if it isn't fast enough for some people.
  8. We just have to keep pace with Austria, I'm sure some daftys will lose the plot if we lose away in Denmark - our result versus Austria is crucial. I'd take a draw in Vienna and a defeat in Copenhagen right now. I'd rather we beat Austria and drew with Moldova instead of beating Moldova and drawing with Austria.
  9. Yeah, that's all fine and good but Austria and Denmark have players playing at a high level also and it wouldn't be hard to argue both those nations have a equal if not better pool of players to us to choose from than Scotland. I don't think third would be a disgrace, but I think 2nd is also realistic. 1st? not for me, not yet anyway.
  10. Shankland to Beerschot seems a bit of a sideways move. Hope it goes well for him, things never seemed to catch fire for him at Dundee United under Micky Mellon. I do think he could reach a higher level given a few more seasons if that's what he wants.
  11. aye, give him a break. He's doing okay just now. Does it matter that he can't talk the talk if he can walk the walk?
  12. He's not going to displace O'Donnell anytime soon.
  13. Marshall wasn't in the squad today for Derby's game. McLaughlin made his 2nd league start. Gordon made his 2nd league start.
  14. you boys just can't handle opinions that go against Aberdeen, sad really although not surprising. I'm neutral on DF, but it's pretty obvious he is just looking out for his son here.
  15. Why would I be banned? I am just expressing an opinion - isn't that what this is all about.
  16. shame for you that there aren't any doors to close on a forum mate.
  17. well if you were Lewis Ferguson, would you want a move? you guys stay comfortable in your thinking that DF is the p***k, but maybe LF isn't just the innocent onlooker just trying to do his best for AFC.
  18. I meant in terms of trying to buy at the cheapest price and sell for maximum value.
  19. Finally, the respect I crave. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
  20. Not sure what he's on, I would have thought it would be higher tbh. Even if DF is exaggerating claims doesn't change the fact he is just looking out for his son who probably also wants the move.
  21. uhh, cause he's his da and he obviously is reflecting Lewis Fergusons wishes just like any other dad would do. Can't believe anyone on here would think Derek Ferguson is the villian and Lewis Ferguson is the naive, innocent little boy who doesn't have a clue.
  22. you can only see it through red tinted glasses mate, total bias - no interest in seeing why Derek Ferguson/Lewis Ferguson are behaving in the way they are.
  23. Derek Ferguson's interest is in seeing his son get his move, he isn't concerned with how much Aberdeen are paid. Aberdeen care about getting maximum value for the player with Aberdeen fans interests along the same lines as Aberdeen FC. Derek Ferguson has every right to do what he thinks will help his sons interests regardless of what Aberdeen FC or its fans think and he unlike his son isn't an Aberdeen employee and so can do what he likes. You just don't like it because it's against your interests as Aberdeen fans. It's see through, so stop whining.
