  1. I still think we're a long way from being confident the other squad options ahead of Nesbitt and co are better. We're understandably putting the likes of Kai Kennedy in because we haven't seen him be bad, rather than we have seen him be good. I wouldn't be surprised if we were still starting Nesbitt in November.
  2. The board mistake was appointing Rennie. That was a monumental f**k up. The worst manager in our history - who sanctioned that I have no idea but it was diabolical from the board. I agree though that once the manager is in place the board shouldn't be blamed for their signings. I didn't mind the Griffiths signing at the time but I had no idea he was so done. The Dundee fans told us though.. as indeed the Partick fans told us how awful Alegria is.
  3. I blame Superfan a lot more than I blame the council.
  4. I don't agree with this. I dont know a single fan that thought we could go up last year in Dec/Jan. If we were going to have a go in Jan why did we appoint the utter loser nonentity Rennie? A move many fans said at the time was lunacy Backing him with cash was even more insane. The priority in Jan was avoiding relegation and getting rid of shite until we had a real football manager not a clueless Powerpointer. It was a dreadful window and we're paying the price now that we have a good manager and can't spend enough on removing the shit.
  5. Not to go all crowdwanky but it's disgusting we have this standard of squad given the healthy ST sales and home crowds plus fan injections from Patrons and monthly subscriptions
  6. Yes perish the thought they down tools this season and start underperforming...
  7. Agreed. The Morrison one was particularly reprehensible. Wasn't that long ago that we had fans with a straight face suggesting we might get money for him. Fucking insanity.
  8. Given the Alloa fans regularly wanked over Hetherington surely to f**k we can punt him to them
  9. We are really fucked though. I totally get and agree with the desire to never have Nesbitt, Morrison etc near a starting 11 but we're a long way from being sure the alternatives are better. There is a danger the guys not playing become immediately better just by not contributing to this shambles but I'm not sure changing our XI within this squad will make f**k all of a difference. Maybe Kennedy, Lawal and Burrell would do better in the final third but the jury's out.
  10. The answer to that is that he thinks the alternatives are worse.
  11. He can slaughter the performance without slaughtering the players. He didn't. That's what's unacceptable. It's another season with an absolute shiter of a squad. All this talk of the budget being fine is utterly useless if we are spending it on wastes of a jersey. We are again somehow miles short of the right quality to compete at the top end of League One. League fucking One!!!!!! I too believe McGlynn will get it right if he stays around but its going to take a long long time.
  12. I dunno. After the Morton draw he answered Lewis' powder puff question very differently. He could easily have taken that first question and given a much angrier response. It was delusional stuff. I know people will say this is his squad now so he can't afford to slate the players but I honestly don't think that matters. They don't try any harder because the manager has their back. They're just as shite the following week. Be as well showing a bit of anger. The 'we'll just work harder in training ' shite we've heard for 3 seasons now. We don't buy it and we don't want to hear it.
  13. As an experiment, can keepers not bother saving a Morrison shot. I don't think they have the power to get over the line on their own steam. What this has also reinforced is what a diddy nonsense pre season affair the League Cup is. Once the hard graft starts we've had two dreadful performances, zero goals and a shoeing.
  14. Yep.. could easily have been a Rennie or Sheerin interview.
  15. I think starting any of Williamson, Nesbitt, McGuffie, Hetherington, Morrison and Alegria is criminal. But that's where we're at. At least 2 will no doubt be in next week's side.
  16. Our list of players who absolutely can't start next week is lengthy.. I don't think I know where we go from here. Another season in L1. Maybe in another 2 windows we can overhaul the squad entirely but it's looking Groundhog Day in that regard. Roll on next season. Again.
  17. If I was Lewis not sure I'd open with the standard 'Well John, wasn't our day today.. what positives can you take from that?'
  18. We haven't had a fucking clear out. That's the problem!!!!
  19. That Montrose performance last week may end up being a high water mark for the season
  20. Alegria is Dennon Lewis standard. He needs to never start again.
