thing is a lot of this isn't hindsight. fans didn't want Holt, players like wilson fans, including myself and others said were nowhere near good enough before they were signed, these 2 or 3 year contracts are fair enough if the guys being signed are brilliant but for jobbers why did we do it? then sheerins bizarre selections and interviews for months now. the treatment of fans by the board. its one very poor decision after another. I take my hat off to those investing but I won't be even thinking about going to a game never mind investing until Holt and sheerin are gone and the new board give some form of better strategic statement and say no1 priority going forward will be the lifeblood of the club, the fans. treating arrogant people like Holt better than fans really gets my goat
Yep.. it isn't about today. I genuinely believe that. It's about 16th October.. when we were bodied by Airdrie. That's the point when Sheerin should have been sacked.
Every fixture after that point has been a complete and utter waste of an opportunity.

Whilst the scoreline is of course shameful, is anyone really that surprised? I thought it would be 3 or 4.

35 years have been supporting Falkirk. Surely this is the worst result in that time.
Is it even close?
Only other candidate is that Clyde defeat and that was a higher division.

It's absolutely shameful dereliction of duty that Sheerin wasn't sacked in October.
Every single member of the board is culpable.

The most annoying thing about this is that the fans have known for months Sheerin was an utter diddy. Months .

We know Cones is the worst manager in our long history, but is he the worst ever manager in League One history? Got to be possible

Falkirk TV post-match interview: Well, Paul, first and foremost. I thought - with all due respect to Queens Park - we were a little hard done by today. What's your thoughts on today's game?
'Paul, it's always tough coming to places like this.. but after the 5th goal went in, I thought we were unlucky not to get a consolation'

Has a coach ever been fired at half time?
10 shots on target for Queen’s Park in one half. Just imagining the positive spin our soon-to-be former coach will put on this.
'We tried to win, but maybe we just can't'
OK Paul. Try again next weekend.

Things could be a lot worse if we sacked Cones. We need continuity and if that's accepting 37 defeats in a row we'll that's just what we need to do.

we are bad and looking at the bench gives me the fear. Wonder if the players can produce more under a new manager or are they all really that bad?
Bit of both. They're terrible but given that we don't have an actual manager, you'd assume someone barely competent could get 10 more points a season from them.

Looks like we get the quality of troll we deserve too.

Tempted to say another laughably bad team picked by Cones today but that would be true no matter what XI he picked.
Hetherington and Ruth starting though. Just f**k off.

Holt first 100% he does f**k all and wouldn't need replaced. Stinking the place out from the moment he came in. Also comes across extremely arrogant from what I've seen. Would like to know exactly how much involvement he has in first team affairs.
Holt leaving makes zero difference to the fucking shite Sheerin forces on us every week

Have they rented a suite at the Stadium for their AGM?
I believe Superfan rented it, and we'll repay him at £1000/month over 5 years.

What is the vehicle to get rid of Cones? If we're told there's no effective management of the club day to day at present will that at least be addressed and formalised at the AGM?
That's surely the main priority now. Ensuring it's someone's known job to sack Sheerin.

Colborne at least has held his hands up and stepped down what's happening with the clown prince of pr? Surely after the abusive messages scandle his position is no longer tenable and I haven't seen any mention of him stepping down unless I missed it.
Forgot about him. I think I'd amend my list to McFarlane, Sheerin and Holt. In that order.

Sheerin has to go first. Followed by Holt. That's the priority order.
If Holt goes and Sheerin doesn't I'd be utterly furious.

The number of FSS subscriptions is the concern at the moment. That needs to be increased 10-fold and that's impossible with the shambles on the pitch.
Only promotion will see any goodwill factor return.

Put him on gardening leave - he can then look after the Gnomes as well as the Cones
A lot of clubs do this and the deal is normally that we stop paying Sheerin when he finds another job.
Pretty sure Celtic did that with Gordon Strachan. Or maybe Martin O'Neil.

I am no fan of what has happened in the last year. In fact having being involved in the NB offer in the summer I have, IMO, every right to be really angry about how that turned out especially as to where we are now.
However I was in a meeting where the Rawlins and around 15-20 others were there two days after the Q&A where the model we now see evolving was discussed and in principle agreed. At that meeting the Patrons present made it clear that the Q&A would make it difficult to raise funds without Boardroom change. At that point Gordon Colburn held up his hands and said IF he was a blockage to investment he would step aside. (There were 2 or 3 others there who post on here can verify that)I personally thought it showed he had the interests of the club before his own personal ambition. For that alone I respected him for saying that.
The new set up is not perfect, it has one or two flaws but without sounding like a broken record we have to move forward now and try and pull together.
I do find it difficult to criticise someone putting substantial money into the club - I could afford to do so too, but absolutely wouldn't, so perhaps shouldn't be too negative about Colborn.
He's just so unlikeable though.

I take your point but we still need to get the money to do it. I have absolutely no idea if we would have access to the necessary to do it though.
This is always a bit of a red herring. You don't need to find a lump sum. We can continue to pay Sheerin his monthly salary (which will be peanuts) whilst telling him never to come within 1 mile of the stadium.
If we had a whip round on here we could pay Sheerin for 25 years never to manage us.

Yeah he obviously has ponied up 10 grand but he nailed his colours to the mast and even when he got a bit of backlash he continued to dig his heels in.
It begs the question that if Lex Miller, Andy Thompson or Craig Campbell had coughed up enough money would they have been accepted into the scheme? I certainly hope not so why has this guy? Cos he’s a nice guy and he didn’t mean it?
I’ll say it again, I am behind these initiatives and will be involved but there’s a couple of things disappointing me. The removal of Holt on Tuesday will make up for it tho
Think this is an excellent point. Im disappointed that Colborn is part of this group. I think it sends a very negative message - a complete clear out was required and we're not getting that.
Obviously some positive signs with a few of the individuals involved being a clear step up from the previous board but an opportunity missed.

It's still worth incidentally trying to pay off this entire squad in January and bringing in a new one. This league is so bad the playoffs are still possible with a real manager and a new squad.
