Another difficult game for Queens .

Kelty have a lot of good experience players .

Hopefully we can get close to a full squad for this Wilson and Connelly must be close to coming back.

We really need a win to keep our faint play offs hopes alive.

What would your starting 11 be if everyone was fit?

I've maintained in all his time with us that there is a player in Cochrane. It's just finding out what he is best at and utilising it. Hopefully Bartley finds it. The early signs seem promising.

Agreed but he is definitely better holding in midfield but Wilson is better option. Both have poor injury records though so worth keeping both.

38 minutes, but yes. In your view he maybe wasn't doing anything wrong but he clearly wasn't carrying out the manager's instructions and was rightly hooked in that case.

We've been crying and moaning about how soft we have been all season so I'm all for a manager coming in and giving them a kick up the arse. As I say, if being subbed for not performing to the standards required upsets Ruth then I hope he's out the door in May.

I think he will be out the door this month tbh.

If you're not doing as the manager asks then expect to be hooked regardless of the time. As I said at the time, I'm all for it. If he can't meet the standards set by Bartley then he only has a few months left of his contract before he can find someone else.

In your opinion did he deserve that 5 mins before half time he was not doing anything that merited that.

Agree on the Cochrane front - he was excellent and I thought Todd and Paton were also very good

Can you tell me in you opinion what Todd and Paton done well. In my opinion Todd holds onto the ball for far to long and lost possession countless times and so many misplaced passes. Paton was bullied for mist of the game and did not give us anything on the night. Cochrane held our midfield together as Todd and Murray were all over the place. Wilson has to get back asap. Gibson has to play further up the park and take the defensive responsibilities away from the young lad and he will thrive. On the night we had a great goalkeeping performance to keep us in it. We lacked any invention in the final third at all. Irving works hard and got his goal but he is not really the answer for us upfront. Ruth obviously now is not in Bartley's eyes after straying him for last 3 games. I think our best option would be to play Connelly, Gibson and Paton as a front 3. As for the defence 🤯 Brydon and Logan will come into the side. Would like to see a new left back as well but getting greedy now.

One player who really seems to have upped his game since Marvin's arrival is Harry Cochrane.  I thought he was our best outfield player by far tonight, and he's looking a lot fitter and more interested and involved than he did under Gibson.

Totally agree with this but Todd really has to up his game he must have gave away possession so many times last night. Holding onto the ball and getting it taken off him.

I dont think we need to exaggerate what we're 'missing'. Dabrowski can play. The only one of Sarurday's team unavailable is Jack Brydon. Whether the manager chooses to play the others is another question but given its 10 days till our next game I dont see any real need to rest anyone.

We'll be shorter of options on the bench with Kabia and Logan cup tied. With Johnstone and Burns departed on loan, Wilson and Morrison presumably injured and 3 cup tied, then you would assume at least two of the loan listed players will come back into the squad. All 3 if Connelly isnt fit either.

Brydon played for Hibs B, Logan played for Hearts B and Kabia played for Morton in the earlier rounds so unavailable to play on Tuesday.

Expect Gavin, Rico & Ciaran all to be out on loan before end of Feb.. Most likely the end of fulltime football for all three.

I would expect that as well. But well within their rights to sit tight rather than go part time. Reilly still has another year on his contract. I take it Bartley knows him really well from Livingston so that helped make up his mind. Rico has been a little bit unlucky don't think there is much between him and Hendrie. McKenna has to be replaced to many mistakes he needs to go and play his proper CB position.

This Murray is a empty shirt is a bit harsh .

He is more  attack minded than  McGrory okay he is not as good as say a fit Connelly but still worth a place in the squad .

Reilly has been a huge dissapointment has never got anywhere near the level we need in saying that not sure Ruth is much better .

McKenna just does not like the physical side of the game easily bullied.

Rico has pace good going forward but as a defender he takes up poor positions easily beat in saying that not sure sgain if Hendrie is any better

Our fitness looks  better everything done so much quicker good  to see us trying to pass the ball rather than the punt up the park .

We are are a work in progress can we do it against the better teams in the League time will tell.

100 per cent agree Connelly is a better attacking option than McGrory. I just think Murray is not a better option than him. It is a game of opinions and that is mine. When Connelly and Wilson come back I don't see McGrory or Murray in the starting 11 going by the way the manager is setting up his team. But wil have to be kept in case of injuries to Wilson or Cochrane.

  10. Bartley has obviously made to decision to let the 3 guys go and the fact he said in the interview let's everyone know. He is obviously working with the other guys who are all mostly playing for their futures. As he sees something he can work with. The signings of Dabrowski and Brydon have made us stronger defensively and hopefully Logan also hits the ground running. Kabia has to up his work rate for me. Bartley is ruthless as McGrory found out yesterday by being hooked at half time unfortunately he put Murray on for me is any empty shirt. When we get Wilson and Connelly back we will definitely be stronger and the fact we are only 6 points of the play offs and a semi final in the cup on Tuesday. Keep the momentum going into the Kelty game in a fortnight before a tough game against Dunfermline.

I said that early on this season then was slated because he made a rare appearance and scored a couple of goals in a couple of games after that. Regardless, my view is clearly more accurate. He's rank.

He gives us actually nothing lazy in attack lazy in defence. Bartley gets frustrated on the side. I like his approach he will improve us without a doubt. He took McGrory off despite us controlling first half and replaced him with Murray. I like the fact he changes things but he must surt see that he offers nothing. I have to ask myself what he sees in Ruth that he does not see in Reilly.

  12. Think the good thing is Bartley has identified our problem areas. We have not had a right back and McKenna has been poor in not his proper position. New GK new right back new centre back and work with what we have till end of season as most are out of contract. Don't see many changes tomorrow except maybe Logan replacing McKechnie and Kabia replacing Ruth. Wilson will still be out but when fit it will be him and another in centre midfield. Glad East is back and Brydon and only one McKay in the team.

We dominated that game from start to finish, tbh. Should have been ahead first half, but a stupid penalty saw us 1 down at half time. At half time I said to my dad and son that I still expected us to win, and it was pretty comfortable in the end.

There was lots of nice passing, the midfield completely controlled the game. Only concern is that we didn’t have the cutting edge in the first half, but can’t complain with 3 in the second. Kabia looked good when he came on, and I liked the look of the 3 at the back.

Who played well for us today?
