  1. You guys are forgetting about the battery farm. We are going to be rivalling the Saudi clubs soon.
  2. If anyone happens to have a spare ticket or two, for either end, give us a shout please. Didn’t manage to get any but thought bugger it and having a week in Norway anyway on the off chance
  3. Boyd and Woods released, indicates the rest have been offered terms. Time for everyone to get behind Dodds, I’ve been his biggest critic but in reality this season was a write off with he injury crisis. Nobody is going to achieve anything pissing and moaning. Maybe he will go on to repeat the mistakes of previous seasons, but let’s hope not. If you’re talking about not renewing your season ticket because of one man give your head a wobble. The club needs your cash more than ever. If you can afford it and truly care about ICT, get it bought regardless
  4. Shamelessly stolen this list off Twitter of the players who are out of contract. Here’s my verdict on all of them, for what it’s worth (not very much). Cammy Mackay - keep. Excellent back up who did very little wrong when called upon this season. Wallace Duffy - keep. Good squad option but really lacks quality going forward. Shouldn’t be a starter. Robbie Deas - Off and goes with my best wishes. Excellent player who gave his all for the club. Danny Devine - keep. Decent again this season. Will need to unearth another left footed gem of a centre back, any at Celtic again a la McCart and Deas? Scott Allardice - Really hope we can throw some of the cup cash at him to try and keep him here however I fear he’ll be off. Would be shocked if bigger clubs aren’t circling. Ben Woods - not sure what it is but I think there’s a hidden gem of a player in there. Would’ve liked to have seen more of him. Keep. Lewis Hyde - keep. Offers real drive from the middle of the park. A good squad option and may even kick on again. Aaron Doran - I’d offer him a deal - bit worrying he didn’t get on on Friday though. Wouldn’t break the bank to keep him but again he’s a good squad option. Tom Walsh - think we should be offering him a new deal on slightly reduced terms. The right thing to do. Henderson (end of loan) - our best out and oht winger since Jonny Hayes. Shame he was pish on Friday. Would love us to keep him but no way we can afford him. Dan Mackay (end of loan) - Been consistently anonymous this season. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him back, and I would take him back, but not as a priority by any means. Steven Boyd - was never going to be good enough. A signing which typifies why this league season has been a failure. Billy Mckay - #1 priority to keep. Self explanatory thus one. Ethan Cairns - haven’t seen enough of him give an informed opinion. Shane Sutherland - would love to see Shane back on the park however the more time passes, the less likely I think it is. Same as Walsh, new deal on reduced terms is the right thing to do. Austin Samuels - I’d be offering him a new deal. Would love to see him and Mckay played as a two next season.
  5. I am gutted with our performance tonight. We were miles off it. That first half is just inexcusable. How many fucking times this season I’ve had to watch us lump the ball towards a 5ft 7 Billy Mckay and then lose every resulting second ball is a joke. Absolutely no fight at all either. Subs and change of shape second half made a real difference, again though totally wasted Samuels by barely playing balls in behind and instead playing predictable pedestrian pish in front of Ayr. Why Nathan Shaw keeps getting moved centrally for Dan Mackay who is about as present as Casper the friendly ghost 4 weeks out of 5 is beyond me. Realistically, it would’ve been an abomination if we’d somehow made the playoffs given how utterly shite we’ve been for 90% of the season but to lose it in that manner is so frustrating. I really would’ve fancied us given the recent run of form. Going to be massive changes this summer I expect, majority of the squad are out of contract including some vital players such as Allardice and Mckay. I hear Dodds has signed a new deal, still unconvinced he’s the man to get us out of the Championship however there’s something to be said for continuity. The most important thing for me on top of that is that the players all seem to speak highly of him, despite the trials and tribulations of this year. Choosing to be hopeful we can use some of the funds from the cup run to retain a few, and sign slightly better quality players.
  6. Fair play Ayr, by far the better team in the first half and showed great resilience to win it in the second. Thought you looked so much more up for it from the off, caused constant problems going forward and were really well organised. On the other hand, I am gutted with our performance. We were miles off it. That first half is just inexcusable. How many fucking times this season I’ve had to watch us lump the ball towards a 5ft 7 Billy Mckay and then lose every resulting second ball is a joke. Absolutely no fight at all either. 7. Goal of the year Billy Mckay in the semi final for me but it’s not even in the nominations!
  8. I see the club have put nominations up for player, young player and goal of the year. What’s everyone’s thoughts? Player and young player of the year for me is Cammy Harper. Been our most consistent player, scored some really important goals and was the first player that came to mind. Honourable mentions for Nathan Shaw, Scott Allardice, Billy Mckay and Mark Ridgers
  9. With this cup final monies and the battery farm millions, we are going to be balling whatever league we are in next year
  10. Best league in the world. Unless you’re trying to get out of it at the top end.
  11. Was chatting to my mate today about who our player of the season is at this point, albeit with a lot of football to be played. Either Harper or Ridgers for me
  12. Samuels is wasted out wide. He is a striker, who likes to play on the shoulder.
  13. We were rotten last time at Dens and still got a point. Really need to win this to guarantee a playoff place. Testament to what a joke of a league this is that if we win our next two games and other results go bizarrely, we could be a point off the summit having been utter dogshite for 70% of the season
  14. 3 points closer to the most unlikely title victory in footballing history please.
  15. MASSIVE win. Thought we were far too passive for an hour, before a smash and grab ten minutes and a brilliant Mark Ridgers save did the business for us. Cammy Harper or Mark Ridgers POTY for me, so fitting Harper rifled in the winner here and Ridgers made such a crucial save. Thought Daniel Mackay was awful. Poor boy has zero confidence at the moment. Cove are dreadful.
  16. A strong argument for Dodds staying would be the benefit of continuity, although this is somewhat undermined by what is likely to be a large turnover of players. There are no managers out there who I’d want, off the top of my head. Doesn’t mean there isn’t better out there though
  17. Win this to move above Ayr, 3 points and up the road. Hope there will be bovril available at the Balmoral this time round, was affronted the last time when there wasn’t Edit: Typed Balmoor instead of Balmoral, wrong club
  18. I’m happy to have been proven wrong. I’ve still got my reservations about Dodds, but if he gets a new deal he’ll 100% get my backing.
  19. If your Auntie had balls etc, but depressing to think if we’d managed to beat the worst Accies team in years this season we’d be firmly in the title race.
  20. Possibly the best old fashioned winger we’ve had since Jonny Hayes. Boy is absolute quality.
  21. If we win this, I might start actually believing we can somehow make the playoffs. It’s the hope that kills you
  22. Very pleasing. We couldn’t just pull it off, could we?
