  1. I find it strange that a registered EOSFA CLUB then play in the WoSFL. Thats like being in one political party and voting for the other. Thinking there’s an ethics question to be answered on this one.
  2. I hope that’s the decision. The potential travel for some clubs would have been unfair. Nice big stand at their ground - 750 or more. Unfortunately when I recently visited, each individual fan had around 100 seats to themselves. Seems to be a challenge getting the fans to attend.
  3. The way I read it, you return to your parent Association. I believe that Gretna 2008 are members of the EoSFA
  4. Bizarrely Gretna return to the EoS. Dalbeattie sensibly return to SoS
  5. Think there’s maybe one or two other current LL Clubs looking at a similar path that’s now been taken by the VoL
  6. No credit due. it was shared on DUFC supported page. Well done on Tuesday. A very late equaliser. But I thought you guys were well worth a share of the points. The players celebration said a lot
  7. Now we’re at the business end of the season, things are staring to firm up. Pressure, injuries, travel, availability, and luck now all very firmly come into the mix. The way I read the tables looks positive from a DUFC perspective. Nothing taken for granted, all teams will drop points. But if we all drop the same points then it’s game on. Good luck guys, you’ve done the hard bit, just maintain it.
  8. You’re dead right on that one. It seems lots of folk comment on many matches, especially away games, while they’re about 40 miles distant. As you say it’s a forum for opinions. Long live free speech
  9. Fair dos Can’t understand Clubs not wanting to support this return
  10. Don’t know who is compiling these tables now. It’s good base datas. If possible to insert another column at the end with the Club names would save a lot of scrolling from side to side. Good work though - keep it up. Should Cup games at home be included? This would give a more true indicator of the seasons overall actual attendance.
  11. I rate K&D a better side than Glenrothes. I accept that Glenrothes have a better opportunity in the league and a better record. But that how it looked to me.
  12. A combination of factors. End result is that more work has to be done. Nobody is taking anything for granted. Fair do to K&D, they played a game plan that suited the pitch and their opponents they also looked a young team with a lot of running in them. Those factors helped to get them a result. Spanner in the works??? Don’t think so, can’t win every game. This league and the high calibre of opponents won’t let it happen.
  13. A good player and also a great guy. The previous time his name was on social media is unquestionably a major contributor to him going on loan.
  14. Maybe, maybe not. What clearly helps is having a functional and responsive management team. Budgets don’t solve anything if the people spending it don’t have a clue how to do it wisely. The adage about buying cheap means buying twice certainly applies - as has been clearly demonstrated by many fallen greats. Every clubs budget should be the sole domain of that club and not speculated on by others who use it as an excuse for their own failings. A small budget thats used effectively can be a lot better than a big budget applied carelessly. Ouch!!!
  15. This reads as either a wind up, a jealousy post or maybe just another sniper trying to shoot down the keen and hardworking groups. Should try it sometime - it can help.
  16. Think that Nitten may be out to prove a point after going down in their past two matches.
  17. Ryan Weir was a handful throughout the 90. Very talented player.
  18. It wasn’t an easy 90 minutes simply because there are no easy matches. A couple of spectacular goals from Walker set Dunbar up for for the win. But WW demonstrated that they are more than capable of holding their own and weren’t too far away from taking something out of the game. Dawson was in the right place at the right time and scored the emphatic winner late on. This was a substitution that paid off. Other results today have transpired move the Club into a very satisfying TEN point lead at the top, which I’m pretty sure will increase and not decrease as the season moves forward. I’m sure I recall a statement made earlier in the season quoting ‘Karma’ ,,,,, Very well done guys,,,, another 3 points on the board, 19 games played and 11 to go. ️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️
  19. Personally an away point is good. Another personal viewpoint - WW are too good for the position they’re in. It could be a tough 90mins. But we’re on a roll just now, It can’t last forever, it may end tomorrow but I don’t see it happening. I’m confident if we play as we have been doing then all should be ok.
  20. Well after tomorrow it’ll be 19 played and 13 to go. Getting into the real business end of the season. Hopefully another reverse of many previous results. Rosewell isn’t a happy hunting ground for DUFC wins. But feel confident that we’ll take something from the match.
  21. A bit more of your reverse logic here. I was the one who was drawing attention to the fact that former Dons manager had perhaps been disrespectful to pyramid semi professional clubs who play in the tiered structure setup. Some things turn into hard work eh???
  22. Can’t follow your logic. I’m no interested in skewed opinions. I prefer to comment on facts.
