Still a very long way to go yet. A lot of football to be played, points to be won and lost. But, Luncarty have put a spanner in the works. Fully expect some more over the next couple of weeks. Obviously it was the result that most Dunbar supporters wanted. As said earlier - the prospect of another East Lothian team in the premier is getting closer.

I agree very much - there’s going to be twists and turns. With no doubt some inexplicable defeat for someone. Theres a couple of tough run in sequences, and also some gritty teams at the lower end with it all to play for in terms of maintaining their place in the Div 1. Yes, agree points on the board are like the golden share.

A very tidy, organised, safe, comfortable and clean ground. -

Dinnae quote me fellah, that’s what I’m trying to find out. I couldn’t believe the venue capacity wise. Broadwood makes much more sense to me. -

I’m told the final is at Irvine Meadow. Will it be a tickets only game? -

Dunbar United Season 20/21
Man from the East replied to RedLichty's topic in East of Scotland Football League
Tomorrow it’s yet another trip to the nice City of Perth in the quest for league points. The earlier meeting in the season at NCP resulted in a convincing 5:0 victory. By all accounts last Saturday in the same neck of the woods seemed to be a thoroughly convincing performance - very well done to all!! Hopefully the sequence continues. -

I’d go with that. Also, there’s a quotation ‘All Champions are winners, but not all sinners are Champions. -

Don’t you think that having that safety net makes clubs look for the easy option? Then when the LA has tight budgets, football clubs will be the last thing on their minds. Then there’s the discussion about where you draw the line, tier 3,4,5,6,7 or 8 ,,,, Not easy to resolve that one. -

Why should the local Authority be the main source of infrastructure improvements? I’d much rather the LA financed homes and health and if they were to provide financial support - it would be for job creation and sustainability. Clubs may have to do more to help themselves. some will some won’t, some are capable, some aren’t. In football it’s cyclical. Look at previous big clubs who are floundering,,,, why does that happen? -
Attendances information 2021/22
Man from the East replied to The Faceman's topic in East of Scotland Football League
To be fair, the Groundhopper day probably lifted those clubs participating numbers considerably. It has probably doubled the normal match day attendance and put about 30+ onto the season average. The Groundhopper day has slewed the average and biased it a little bit. But overall the same sort of profile would have emerged. I’m told that the Groundhopper attendances were independently verified. Overall it’s great picture and very useful bit of information. -

Interesting numbers,,,, One club seem to almost entirely have an attendance ending in ‘0’
