  1. In the last few games Kiltie has had a fair few opportunities and his shooting has been beyond woeful, like comically bad at times. I don’t see him being the goalscoring answer at all. That doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s a decent player.
  2. I don’t disagree…….but I reckon they might. Although perhaps not today.
  3. Was this just a guess rather than the actual announcement?
  4. Goodwin saying he doesn’t want to be disrespectful to Darvel and then goes on to say “They got their noses in front and then defended for their lives” They did far more than that Jim. They outplayed your team for huge swathes of that game. I might have actually felt a bit sorry for him in that interview if he hadn’t said that, but he can get himself tae f**k.
  5. It's a very weird wee affliction/obsession east coasters (particularly Dundonians) have with calling Paisley Buddies "weegies" like it's some sort of demeaning insult. I don't find it insulting at all, I just find it inaccurate and think it makes them look like the ignorant, insular nobodies that they are. Put it this way, if I was forced to be referred to as either Glaswegian or Dundonian, there would be no competition. I mean are these folk actually in some way proud to come from that piss ant little shithole in the middle of nowhere. Their most famous export is Desperate Dan FFS.
  6. Hold on a minute, I'm not holding up Ethan as some sort of messiah. I'm just saying he's one of our better players and there was no need for him to jump at the first move he was offered. You indicated for some reason that he'd be regretting not taking that move. I'm not sure why? I believe he will get a better move than Forest Green. I too rate Gogic higher than Ethan and I'm glad he's the one we're likely to be keeping. Not Kiltie though, although they are completely different types of player, so not really a fair comparison.
  7. Why would he be regretting not signing just because they’ve signed some guy from Rangers on probably the same deal he was offered. The boy clearly decided it wasn’t the move for him and fair play to him for not jumping at the first offer. He’s one of the few players in our squad who’s still managed to look decent in our recent flat performances. If he doesn’t get a move this window (and there’s every chance he still might) then he’ll not be short of offers in the summer.
  8. He didn’t say it wasn’t a problem. He said it wasn’t debt. You do know the difference don’t you Elvis between making a loss and being in debt??
  9. In St. Mirren’s first season in the a Scottish Premier Division 1977/78, we beat Celtic twice at Parkhead (both 1-2), once at Love Street (3-1) and the other game at Love Street finished 3-3 with St. Mirren having been leading 3-1 with 10 minutes to go. Basically we owned Celtic that season.
  10. Disagree. Morgan never carried us at any stage. In the “survival” season if anyone was our star man it was Stevie Mallan, but I think even that season we had a pretty good team and it just took a while for Ross to get a tune out of them. The following (championship winning) season we had an excellent team which Morgan was part of. He made a massive contribution but no way did he carry us. Then he left. Likewise, Ronan, he was good player but no way did he carry us.
  11. The thought of either Gallagher or Shaughnessy playing anywhere other than in the centre of the 3, gives me the absolute fear given how slow they are. I’d be inclined to play both Dunne and Taylor either side of Gallagher or Shaughnessy, even though they are both left sided. They are professional footballers ffs, surely they can kick the baw wi their right foot.
  12. That’s disappointing. I thought Dundee would’ve brought a decent support. Big cup tie against a big team. You’d have thought that would’ve brought the part timers out.
  13. I only know two Hearts fans well. My mate and his son. They bang on about it all the time (albeit in a lighthearted way). His son was was only born in 1986 . I accept that’s not your experience though. Don’t think we can just dismiss the internet and Twitter though like it’s not representative. It’s probably where the vast majority of supporters now spout their views.
  14. And to think we had Jambos on this thread trying to claim there was no bitterness towards St. Mirren Hilarious https://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/index.php?/topic/199058-st-lie-down-losses/
  15. Agree those for me are probably the only two proper steel toecap tackity bit tae the haw maws. Plenty others have made me fairly miserable though. The late equaliser to Hamilton costing us top 6 being one such example.
  16. And yet that bottom section of the Roseburn on our side will be empty. commercial madness by Hearts.
  17. Yeah must admit, I've got the fear a bit for this one too. All the more reason why we should've made Friday count when we had the chance.
  18. Well it’s certainly not from watching him score goals. Not for us anyway.
  19. Your unwavering faith in Brophy is highly commendable Billy, but I have absolutely no idea what it’s based on.
  20. If pointing out that some folk are utter c***s constitutes “faux cringeworthy outrage” then fair enough. Knock yersel out pal. I disagree though.
