  1. What a Racist apologist you are. Hopefully the only goals he scores are own goals and your club remain indefinitely in the seaside league.
  2. So Falkirk dodged a bullet with signing a rapist and no doubt criticised Raith but it’s ok to sign a racist?
  3. Falkirk Football Club operates a zero-tolerance policy towards racism. It aims to create and maintain an environment for staff and spectators, free from racial harassment, abuse and violence. https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/our-policies/
  4. Is there any truth that your club were also trying to sign Goodwillie before he went to Raith. What a forward line that would have been.
  5. Of course. Both Falkirk and Ross County are so called family and inclusive family clubs.
  6. This individual has had multiple police investigations for racist songs and comments. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/jan/11/leigh-griffiths-wolves-racist-tweet https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/sep/29/celtic-leigh-griffiths-fined-song-rudi-skacel How does that align with your club policy and your association with the “Show Racism the Red Card” campaign?
  7. Through his unprofessional attitude he failed to represent his country at the first major finals since 1998. He should be at the peak of his career, but is currently without a top league club. Just signed for Falkirk. He likes The Bairns by all accounts. Sorry but he has wasted a massive opportunity at this stage of his career. I do agree that he did well at Celtic, but it could be argued that his best years there were when Sevco were in the lower leagues and there was no real challenge from other clubs in the top league. Leigh Griffiths 22caps and 4 goals for Scotland age 31. John McGinn 42caps and 11 goals for Scotland age 27. I rest my case.
  8. The old adage “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”. So many of the young Hibs stars O’Connor, Riordan and now Griffiths have all wasted their natural talent. I’m so glad he never ended up at Saints.
  9. Finishing 7th at the split is by no means “safe”. Hibs managed to get relegated from such a position. Their fans were laughing at Hearts at the start of the split.
  10. It will be amusing to see your club die again through financial mismanagement.
  11. Not bad considering that it was your first major honour since your club died. For all those years you had a budget bigger than everyone else in Scottish football bar Celtic and are now £millions in debt. Well done
  12. A budget which dwarfed St Johnstone’s but they still managed more trophies.
  13. Slippy G won 1 trophy out of 9 attempts. Considering the budget he had that is some achievement.
  14. What a tackle by Tait inside the penalty box. Considering his mistake against Motherwell that was a very brave challenge. This is a team that works hard for each other. Two big games coming up that could be the difference between success and failure as history shows that we tend to shoot ourselves in the foot when we are classed as favourites.
  15. I know it must be a difficult time for all fans of Raith Rovers. If you think you are hurting, just try and imagine what those two guys did to that girl. She and her family went through hell. She had the courage to stand up for what she believed in and turned down three out of court settlements to get the truth out there. The only thing that kept her alive was the love of her daughter. IIRC Denise was the first women to get a successful civil court judgement in her favour. There are so many rape cases in our society that never even get a police charge. It took years for Denise to get the truth out there. You need to take strength from her battle and unite as supporters and take direct action to remove those individuals responsible for this decision. So many Scottish football fans are behind you. We all have mothers, sisters and daughters. Let’s all unite and put rivalries to one side. Denise and millions of other rape survivors are watching us. Let us all try and make a difference. I know it will be hard, but one of the first things you can do right now is to stop attending games home and away. Protest outside instead. It will be a long hard road. You only need to look at how long it took Denise and her family. Look at how long it took the Liverpool fans to get the truth about Hillsborough. Even then how did Duckenfield not get charged? You will get your club back and you will appreciate it even more. But you must remove the cancer within your club.
  16. Great thread @Luddite I totally agree with the idea of a larger league playing each other home and away only. Problem is the TV companies and sponsors demand 4 OF league games. It requires our football authorities and our clubs to agree to a larger top division similar to other major footballing countries. Due to the voting rights and the self interest of clubs in the top league, this won’t happen. Outside the OF the clubs look forward to multiple visits by OF. Personally I don’t. The only way I can see change happening is that the fans unite as one and threaten to withhold season ticket money to force change. Problem is that the fans of the two largest clubs probably see 4 OF league games as a bonus rather than a visit to Dunfermline/Thistle/Kilmarnock or dare I say it Morton. Our league format is boring. Our gate prices are becoming prohibitive for many fans. We need change but I firmly believe the only way we make change is through the fans demanding change.
  17. Complete self interest on behalf of Aberdeen. Despicable club.
  18. The point I’m making is that Aberdeen signed this guy when there were very serious court convictions regarding assault and criminal charges for rape brought against him prior to him signing for your club. It would seem that your club management have been just as bad as Raith and Clyde. I fully respect your viewpoint on him playing for your club. It’s just a stain on your clubs history that you employed such a despicable individual.
  19. There was a lot of details about the rape allegations when your club signed him. Seems as though you may want to go back and check. He had also been involved and convicted of three separate assaults. https://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php?/topic/213162-the-famous-aberdeen-season-202122/page/17/
  20. And to be fair the last few years you’ve seen some horrific defending.
  21. Out of interest what was your fans feelings towards him when he played for the Dons between 2014-2016? Looking at the timeframes. He was charged by Police with rape in 2011, but Crown refused to take it forward blaming lack of evidence. The survivor was awarded criminal injuries damages in 2013. Those perpetrators tried three times to buy her silence, but she wanted justice which she finally got. “United star Goodwillie, who denies the accusation, was investigated by police and the Crown Office dropped charges five months later but the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority awarded Ms Clair £11,000 – the highest award possible – after accepting she was raped.” November 2013.
