  1. Paper first? Heard it all now. Forum full of deviants.
  2. He did. He understood he is a Canadian international who has recently signed for Aberdeen. In terms of Miller's job, there's really not much else to do. His job is then to report on his performance. Who gives a f**k about his time at Vancouver or Reading?
  3. Nah, that's nonsense. Willie Miller covers Aberdeen matches for Sportsound. This lad has played for low-profile teams in all the competitions you mention. It's perfectly acceptable to not know detailed info on the guy. Willie Miller is paid to give his opinions on the performance of the Aberdeen team and to update listeners on their matches. That's it.
  4. I'm no particular fan of Willie Miller, but I don't see the crime here. Hoilett was played for Blackburn, QPR, Cardiff, and Reading, as well as MLS and with small clubs in Germany. There will be literally hundreds of players of that profile that none of us on here will be able to say more than "Don't know much about him but he's a ___ international". Don't really see the issue. Does anyone one here genuinely "know much" abut him?
  5. I believe St Johnstone only need to win by six to go above Hibs. Early goal and take it from there. No need for a mad rush, there's 90 minutes to get the goals. Composure needed.
  6. Got heavy vibes of that, aye. And, to be fair, his point about Kenny's excitement over someone "having a pop" is entirely correct. The show shouldn't be about that stuff. It's a sad reflection of where Sportsound is now that that call was even allowed to happen. And McIntyre's excitement about it is symptomatic of just how bad the whole operation is just now. I was in the car at that point and spent the whole time wondering if I could imagine Richard Gordon conducting that coversation in the same way. I cannot. From a professional point of view, he (Kenny) must be awful to work with if you're trying to do the job properly.
  7. It was quite good to hear English taking Kenny to task for being a giddy wee lassie about Neil Warnock. His "so what?" response to SKY SPORTS ATTENDING THE PRESS CONFERENCE was good. Tom English is far from perfect, but I think he subtly brought some good points up yesterday about the direction of the show. He expressed confusion and borderline dismay at McIntyre's excitement at someone coming on to "have a pop". Quite right to express contempt for this as part of BBC Scotland's main Scottish football output. It was utterly risible in tone, and fair play to him and Michael Stewart for trying to bring the conversation with the Aberdeen fan round to football, rather than the sensationist shite that whole segment was. And he's right about the Warnock fuss. I think Warnock's a good coach and I don't think Aberdeen hiring him is a terrible idea if it's just till the summer. While it wouldn't be my choice for my club, I can see a rationale there. But the fawning is daft. He's not Guardiola, he's not doing us all some massive favour by being here, and his wee quips generally aren't as funny as the media make out. The BBC Scotland interviewer at Pittodrie yesterday had a noticeably different tone with the two coaches. They're all dying for Warnock's approval when they talk to him, and I think it's right that someone points out how stupid they're all being.
  8. Not seeing what anyone is seeing in the Marshall - Miovski incident for apenalty. Miovski gets a sore one, but that's just part of his job. Marshall punches the ball. I think it's fair to say the defending is the main take-away from this one. Aberdeen's second goal is objectively hilarious. Like something from a kids' game. Both goals Aberdeen conceded pretty comical too. Amazing that both clubs have taken so long to get their back lines sorted out. Utter failure in planning and recruitment.
  9. Celtic's hotel curse strikes again. They'll be shiting it off their imminent visit to Hearts with our fully-functioning new facility now welcoming guests.
  10. Awaiting confirmation from UEFA, but I believe the Diddyship winners take on the Premiership winnners in a Scissor, Parper, Stone play-off for the Champions League place. Unless, of course, Hearts WIN BOTH.
  11. Aye. Clark still doesn't convince. And it is true that results are better than performances. Can't really criticise that, but, as me and some mates were discussing after Airdrie, you really wouldn't be stunned and shocked if we suddenly went on a run of not winning. That said, there are certain things about this team that are now clear patterns. We don't lose many goals, we have strong second halves, we now tend to have a decent bench. There's annoyingly little to complain about. The next three is a funny thing. Obviously Hibs is always a big game so we lump it in with the OF games around it, but the reality is that's a home game against a team in the bottom six. We should be looking at that as a banker, imo. Get out there and fucking scud them with the disrespect they deserve.
  12. Absolutely mad take. Physically he'd have been miles better if he'd been a proper professional with a good diet, a more professional approach to training and lifestyle etc. Technically he was very good, but could easily have kicked on has the attitude been in place. The career he had was a let-down. He should have had a Stephen Fletcher career down south at the minimum. Fletcher took his career seriously and worked on his physique etc to make the most of what he had. Riordan didn't. I always felt O'Connor was the best of them.
  13. Were we to win our next three, I expect we'll start to fancy winning the Champions League, never mind qualifying. Unlikely to happen, but until it doesn't, it might. Might as well enjoy it for now.
  14. On the pastaecappuccino forum the Inter fans are praying we don't turn up and skelp Rangers next week. They're rattled.
  15. Also, is it just me or are we looking forward to going to Ibrox next week? It's always fun getting out on the bevvy in Glasgow, but usually going to the game at Ibrox or Parkhead is the low-point in a good day out and feels like a bit of a chore. For all that we're perfectly capable of taking a pasting, I'm genuinely curious to see how we do and how we approach it. Not a fan of the "free hit" patter, but with the gap we have built to fourth, I don't think there's any reason to not just go there and out and out try to win the game. I absolutely do not believe we are going to finish top two, but I think we should be aiming to not regret anything if one of the Old Firm have a ludicrous implosion. To be fair to Naismith, his Ibrox and Parkhead visits have been good so far. I think I'm looking forward to it. I don't know what to make of this.
  16. We're actually bang on target to match out 74 points of 2005-06. Doubt we'll get it, as we'll probably slow down in the top 6 or if we get third wrapped up and stay in the cup. In that case, I think we'll see a slow-down similar to the downing of tools in spring of 21-22. But, what a season.
  17. Aye, it really was. Kenny's come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of months, just like Niewenwhateverhisnameis. Both took a wee bit of time to settle in, but now look really valuable to the team.
  18. Just watching Sportscene now. Amazed the tramps didn't get a penalty for the handball by Devlin. Doesn't look all that high up his arm, arm out from the body, loads of time to get out the way. The goals conceded in this game show why these sides are in the bottom six. Quite funny, really.
  19. At half-time I thought 2-0 Hearts was an absolute banker. Just had that feel about it. I'm not sure we'd need to win any more games to finish third. A few strategic draws would likely see us over the line from here.
