Totally agree the squad we have is not up to the standard. I don’t think that can be helped as much as we’d like in this window though as our hands are tied in a lot of places because of shite decisions made in the last 12 months.

I don’t think anyone in that squad last season showed more passion in celebrations and at the end of games than Dipo. Anyone now revising their opinion of him or slagging him are quite frankly, completely wrong.

Theres absolutely no dressing it up the guy is quite clearly frustrated. Have to remember though this means a lot more than to you or I. He has a kid that’s only a toddler that he will want to watch grow up. I draw the line at him causing bother in the dressing room or not trying in games which he has shown absolutely no sign of doing. I’d love him to stay but for his own sake I personally want him to get his move to England after the season he’s just gave us.

I know we’re desperate for full backs but Lee Hodson is not the answer. Can genuinely write off this entire ‘plan’ if that’s the calibre we are signing. I will reserve making judgement until such signings actually happen though as I’m still relatively not that concerned with the window so far.

What is an established championship player? If they look good in the championship then their next move will not be Ayr United. If they look bang average then what’s your big obsession over signing them?

Scottish football in general is guilty of taking its fans for a ride. The fanbase up here is mostly made up of diehard fans who would attend no matter what. Therefore entertainment value is not a factor in clubs’ pricing. Attendances across the board are only going up year on year so don’t expect these prices to trend downwards any time soon. It needs a bit of collective activism from all fans for any action. The only ones who have tried are Celtic and St Johnstone once as far as I can recall. For the first time ever I’m heading down the route of picking and choosing. I’d rather attend away games than home games anyway. Somerset is shite on a Saturday and there’s no day out involved.

If you’re ever near one then aye but I wouldn’t go out my way for it. Was at the New York ‘derby’ when Mackay-Steven was there and it was very meh. Low quality and no atmosphere.

He was one of the worst players in a team that finished bottom. I think if anyone’s going to drop down a division it would be him.

Latest tweet says season ticket holders will be able to air their views on the new Conference League shite that the SFA have pulled out their arse. I urge absolutely everyone on here to give as negative a response as possible. This new league completely undermines our pyramid and relegates about 200 smaller clubs some of whom have worked tirelessly and spent large sums of money to gain licences. The stated benefit of improving the national team has absolutely no proof to back it up and it’s quite clearly only meant for the benefit of the two Glasgow cheeks. This is probably the biggest threat to the game in this country since the 10000 all seater rule. It’s important our club is against it.

I’m sure all the contracts will expire next week in the event we made it to the playoff final. Partick had to extend all there’s by a week earlier in the season because of that.

I’d disagree and say Akinyemi had a good record before coming here. Tomi’s was dreadful. It’s hard to compare the levels of the leagues though. I trust they’ll get someone decent as English strikers seem to be their strong point.

Over the last few weeks I’ve started to move towards this point of view. For most of the season I had it down to Bullen being tactically inept and not extracting the best from our squad. But now I’m of the view that what we’ve seen is the best. Our squad is largely utter shite. Hardly any of them have a slither of football ability. And it’s mostly stuff you just can’t teach. Like Reading being dragged to the ball and leaving his man for example. Maybe Bullen should be given more praise for getting us to 2nd with this squad. But then can he also take part of the blame for assembling it in the first place. I’m done with the fitba anyway until the league cup group stage draw is made and then I’ll be dying for it to come back again.

Genuinely more embarrassing than the game. The back-patting that goes on for the slightest wee thing will make it hard for us to ever get any real progression.
