I note that Stuart Cosgrove was today required to enunciate a clarification on his funny story concerning him being hooked into a streaming contract by Ross County. It seems it was a voluntary agreement and he wasn't conned.

I don't suppose there is one person alive that is ill informed enough to think he was making a serious accusation so whoever prompted the retraction is petty in the extreme. It's good that that person is concentrating on such ephemera rather than the relegation fight.

Eh? What you on about? Thought you'd be focused on your in own team and struggles.

  2. Now that McGhee getting written off by everyone, once Celtic match out of the way, wouldn't be suprised if he hits a new manager bounce, Dundee stay up somehow.

Definitely a very bizarre appointment, but the guy isn't the idiot many are making him out to be.  As long as you beat ICT in play offs, that will do. Can see other teams being dragged into relegation battle which will make it more interesting.

  3. I've been very impressed by names St. Mirren had linked with so far; Think you well may come out of this much stronger. Paul Lambert, Derek Adams, people with actual experience and decent success in past. Contacts they have will be extensive.

If went for Scott Brown, he would be determined to succeed, I think there is a manager there. I know not popular as a player, but as a manager I would not bet against him being really good.

Again, will have well handy contacts. Can see him to better if fiocuses on manager only, rather than player/manager though.

    All better than Ross IMO;

Yeah, Goodwin rising star, team are only 5 points away from Ross County in 3rd bottom, how the mighty have fallen!

It really doesn't appear to take much to be seen as a 'rising star', these days. It"s as if lack of managers out there. Goodwin has achieved little so far this season. St. Mirren could still be relegated yet!

At least with Ross his Sunderland experience is valuable. A failure at a club, can be character building. Adams has good experience too and achieved. Yet Goodwin talk of town, hehe. This is gonna end in tears for Dons. Better off sticking with Robson!

I genuinely think it'll be him.

Would be disappointing. Really, really disappointing.

Would need to get over it quick and support him, though.

Ross would be a good appointment I reckon and may well suprise you all. More experienced manager than Goodwin who many are raving about. Too early in Goodwin's career to see if he is the real deal yet, definite gamble!

Suprised no bigger names being mentioned, thought there would be more experienced, proven managers wanting this job. Some must be comfortable on the golf courses between jobs. Surely some viable managers down in England....

Would just throw the reserves out for the 2nd leg now and fully concentrate on the league(won't happen), thought we had a good chance of going far (and perhaps even making the final) in this tournament but tonight showed that might just be a bridge too far at this moment.

That's the thing Celtic should do, rest players next leg. Bodo done enough to go through and will be well organised at home, hit on break. If Celtic focus on lesgue, play youth players for Euro experience away to Bodo, all the time whilst Rangers distracted by more gruelling Euro matches (worth very little money reqard, not the Champions League), can see it benefiting Celtic in the title race.

For some bizarre reason, I support all Scottish teams in Europe and wanted wins from both Rangers & Celtic tonight, not that it helps non old firm teams. Knew Bodo would not be easy.

Her private wealth was literally built up via decades of the old fraud screwing over the public purse.

What’s happened over the centuries is that the royals sold politicians all the hard bits of governing (making unpopular decisions, spending public money on public affairs, speaking up on controversial issues, and starting wars) in return for gaining total protection from political and legal scrutiny, absolute say over laws affecting their finances and private interests, total deference, the retention of funds (that might otherwise go into the public purse) from crown estates, and unscrutinised wads of public cash. They’ve basically managed to hoodwink the public into thinking this is self sacrifice to duty on their part. Incredible.

    Exactly!!

  8. Normally this would be the type of match where I'd be delighted if County took a point. Hibs appeared to have turned a corner against Arbroath and I do think Maloney will get them to go on a winning run, sooner or later. Reckon he will turn out a good manager if Hibs fans give him time to build a team and develop a system. Hibs will finish top 6 I reckon, which considering change of manager is no disaster. They are looking good with a cup run, great chance of semi final as well, should beat Motherwell. Don't get the over panic their fans having, early days yet in Maloney's reign.

For teams like Hibs, Aberdeen, St. Mirren, Motherwell,  they all will be safe, despite fan pressure if they go on a losing run, it's an easy league for them this season. Great chance to bring in youth players, try them out etc.

While Dundee will lose on Sunday at home to Celtic, can see St. Johnstone getting point or even a win against Hearts who look totally off form. Long way to go in the relegation battle, but a clever, smash and grab away win for County here would be such a huge result. Possibly biggest win of season if happened. Can't see it though, and sure will be willing Hearts on against St. Johnstone. Last thing we need is for St. Johnstone to start winning run. Things could get closer in coming weeks, far from safe yet. Difficult match this for sure.

Probably best to get it sorted today, it’s starting to grind my gears all the speculation. If he’s accepted it then good luck and thanks for all you’ve achieved. We then make a move for Jack Ross as he’s the best candidate out there.

My concern is all the recent good run of form, momentum and feel good factor, will disappear along with Goodwin and the morale he’s been building with this squad of players.

Changing managers mid season is fucking horrendous in terms of stopping momentum and good form when your on a run like ours.

Thing is, St. Mirren well safe this season, so can afford a few losses even if it does drag on. Don't think it's an intelligent move for Goodwin, massive expectation at Aberdeen to achieve the unachievable. He'd be better staying, one more good season then a safer job in England.
