If our manager doesn't start showing an interest in Gibson then he won't be here much longer.
Got told today actually that he was considering a transfer request for this month up until the last few weeks as hes been starting more games. He wants to stay here for next season if he’s starting regularly.

I thought John Rankin was the best player on the park, looks better now than when he played for us!

Pubs were full today of "locals" wearing the tops of the arse cheeks while their hame team was playing just add the road!
I got asked why I was wearing a Queens top in the Granary the day of our Challenge Cup final a few years ago as it happened to be the same day as the Old Firm.

Have been told that the previous times we have played Annan this season Gibson was training with the reserves all week in leading up to the game.

All sorts of rumours doing the rounds again about Bartley falling out with players, more signs of an inexperienced manager.
Heard the same (Todd and Gibson)

The reality here is that whatever model is adopted some genuine investment will be required to get us out of the mess that we are in. With no investment we will be reliant on a new manager to work the oracle on the recruitment front and somehow get us to “punch above our weight” by signing quality players that others have missed. Easier said than done unless you are paying comparatively good wages.
We are definitely at the crossroads now - if we were in a safe mid table position we could write off the season and completely re-build for 2024/25 season BUT sadly we do not have that luxury and quality winter recruitment is now a must. There is no way that Bartley can be trusted with that recruitment - it is far too important.
His recruitment started off really well with us though, Dabrowski, Brydon and Logan were all good last season, and Kabia looked decent until his injury. This isn't me advocating for MB to get January to put things right, just pointing out every signing hasn't been a waste of space.

Aye I think we're talking about two different things here. As you say, if we financially had to go PT that's a different matter altogether. I'm meaning if we could still afford to pay FT wages then being in the market for the best PT players wouldn't be a disaster considering our successes of lately being in the market for the worst FT players.
Why do you doubt that? They're a PT side with no major investor that I'm aware of.
The fact they consistently keep all their players without a rebuild every summer. Also from being told how much players in the first team with us earn.

I'd imagine we'll offer similar to what Arbroath do, Cove are FT and EK are irrelevant, as they are likely paying more than us just now anyway.
I highly doubt we offer anywhere close to what Arbroath do to be honest. I thought Cove still had PT contracts before going FT next summer.

I won't lie. I have absolutely no idea what that post means.
I don't know if they'd be cheaper but even if the PT players were a similar price they'd likely give us better value than the FT ones.
It was a semi-serious post but the reality is we're in the market for the shittest FT professionals. Even if they're a similar price, I'd rather we were in the market for the best PT players.
We won’t be in the market for the best part time players though? Arbroath, Cove and even East Kilbride could pay bigger wages than us.

So guessing the Stirling Albion fan on here was talking shite?

I don't attend every game because I work, surprisingly. The title winning season did bore me. Rocking up to Palmerston knowing we were going to win wasn't exciting for me. If that kind of thing excited me I'd latch on to one of the OF or pretend I was a Man City fan. There's a middle ground between going to watch a side inevitably get beat every week and a side who'll win every week. I'm not sure what's so confusing about me wanting Queens to be one of those sides.
I don't think he has any interest in football so I can't see that happening.
He kicks about with the Liverpool team anytime they win a trophy so don’t think that’s strictly true, however don’t think he has any interest in us at all. Pretty sure he got asked to do a song with the club years ago and he wasn’t interested obviously.

In my head I'm thinking the "technical difficulties" are a cover for him being announced as gone tomorrow. The reality is absolutely going to be the sound is fucked on the interview or something and it'll be business as usual tomorrow.
What difference does the interview have though on whether he’ll be announced as sacked tomorrow? I think it’s just more likely the BoD are screening any content of his interviews after the other week.
To be honest I think he will after the triple substitution yesterday, to me that suggests as though he’s rewarding the players with a good attitude the chance for their appearance bonus before he’s gone.

Just seen the clip Dundee United put on their Twitter of our cup game in 2005. Only thing I could pay attention too was how many people we used to get through the gate, and pretty certain that game was at a time we were struggling near the bottom of the championship.

My guess is he is in with them today to say bye to the players and something would be announced tonight. That interview was genuinely horrific and I do feel sorry for him but there’s no way back when he’s saying what he said.

Anyway, how about Scott Brown? Perhaps he could get his boots back on too.
I'd be for him but he will be waiting for a much better job.

Scally just went to Clyde did he not?

Who is everyone realistically wanting then? I wanted Neil McCann last time but don't think there is any chance he goes near us. I'd suggest John Robertson, done a decent job at Inverness before he took time off due to personal issues.

Don't remember many - if any - dissenting voices when Gibson and then Bartley were appointed. Seems you are always looking for ' a stick to beat ' the Board with.
I was skeptical of appointing Gibson, but pretty sure the majority agreed that Bartley would be a good appointment..

Aye get the impression he’s going to try and outlast Bartley if he’s still here next season, heard a few things and don’t think they see eye to eye at all.
