McCall gone 2nd choice for me now is Billy Dodds .
In saying that Bartley could pick the right team and set up go on a run like Cove
Billy Dodds is an absolute clown.

Going to scream into a pillow if I see one more serious suggestion for Mick Kennedy being our next manager.

Dropping Botterill seems strange.

Not heard anything but my guess is nonsense tbh. Not sure the club could really stand in his way given they've let players leave before their contract ends. And if their justification was they didn't want players there who didn't want to be then it surely makes sense to let a manager go who doesn't want to be there.
Yeah my thoughts as well, was just wondering whether this rumour had done the rounds.

Heard a rumour that Bartley offered his resignation three weeks ago and the club refused, anyone else heard this?

Stand out player based on what?
He achieved deserved cult status at St Johnstone for his cup final heroics x2 but he was an absolute liability with us.
Yes he was absolutely terrible with us, I’m not arguing that. But he is still one of Fleetwood’s best players and has captained them before. That’s a better level than any other right back still playing we have had in the last few years (apart from Johnstone who I put as left back).

David Norman and Shaun Rooney.
Shaun Rooney is a stand out player for an English League One team, think that’s more than anyone else we have had.

Shields was on loan at Queens Park last year under Owen Coyle, who had taken him to India with him.
The issue with that side, much like the current side, is the middle of the park. It’s been about a decade since we’ve had a decent pairing in the centre of midfield. Owen Moxon is the obvious omission, he’s definitely our one that got away in recent years. Joe Thomson is playing in Ireland, Barry Maguire is out on loan down south from Motherwell, they’re probably of similar standard to Wilson and Norman. There’s no one above Championship standard, though.
Completely forgot about Moxon to be honest, I’d have him in over Wilson then.

Out of players still playing, who would make it in the best eleven for players to have played for us? I’d go with:
Zander Clark
Shaun Rooney
Jason Kerr
Kevin Holt
Max Johnstone
Dom Thomas
David Norman Jr
Ian Wilson
Issiah Jones
Nicky Clark
Lyndon Dykes
That team would comfortably survive in the premiership surely.

Here's a hypothetical question.
If in the wild realms of fantasy Bartley not only manages to turn this shitshow around, gets us into the promotion play-offs and we only go and win them (I know, I know, but bear with me though), and you had free rein to sign any of our current loan players on permanent deals and cancel any contracts which aren't due to expire until 2025 that you want to, how many of our current galacticos would you want to keep for a Championship campaign next season and who would they be?
I would only keep Gibson, Brydon, Mimnaugh, Cochrane, Botterill, Ambrose, Connelly and Walker - in that order.
Reilly, Houston and Church I would possibly consider but only as squad players at best. And that's it. A minimum of 18 and maximum of 21 players out the door. Bloody grim stuff and yet another massive summer rebuild would be needed.
But as I say, it's a ridiculously unlikely scenario which has next to no chance of happening, so this is just me being interested to see what everyone else thinks. Am I being too loyal or too brutal? Thoughts?
Botterill, Brydon, Cochrane, Minmaugh, Gibson and Reilly (squad player).
Connelly has the ability to be a very good Championship player but he doesn’t seem to show it (also gets injured fairly frequently) and Houston would both be maybes for me. Bin the rest though.

I think Bartley will only have 2/3 games before he could be shown the door at this rate. Losing 7 out of 11 league games as a full time team in this league is beyond embarrassing. Maybe it’s time for McCall!

Always liked Doyle, surprised to see him playing after that injury in pre season.

Thought he was better than playing in league one and is now bottom of the championship with Morton.
Yep sure he’s gutted about the team of superstars he’s left behind…

No problem with him keeping the players in the dressing room as long as its a two way "discussion" with the players allowed to have their say as well without fear of reprisal.
Hated the comment he made about it being a “quiet” bunch. We always have a team of shitebags in my opinion.

Could you do worse than get Allan Johnston back? Knows his way out of League One.
Hope this is a fucking wind up

No disrespect to QOTS but would McCall want to go to QOTS? I see him holding out for a championship job. You need to give Bartley a chance to turn this around I think getting rid of him would end up being a terrible decision in the long run.
From Dumfries and was a Queens fan as a boy. Plus the fact he lives in the West End of Glasgow and we train in Hamilton, so possibly he could be interested. It’s a completely hypothetical situation because Bartley won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

How long before Bartley is under pressure?
The home form is unacceptable. How easy is it for the opposition at Palmerston?
He won’t be under any sort of pressure this season that’s for sure. Could only see us thinking of making a change if the play offs are in danger.

Interesting line up to say the least…

Is east a big loss? Can't say I noticed him over the years.
I think I liked him more than most. Was class at bringing the ball out from the back and felt we got the best out of him with an aggressive centre half beside him (O’ Connor). I’d have still taken him back 100%

Some food for thought on a Sunday morning.
Lee Johnson's tenure as Hibs manager must just about be up, another pumping from Villa and he could be for the chop.
With our reasonable start is MB's stock rising enough for him to be a candidate for that position?
Don’t think the fans would be against it, but surely it’s far too early for him to be considered for a job like that.

Is it not the case that the old stand (which has a substantially wooden structure) now has a time-limited safety certificate in respect of fire risk? Not sure, but I've been hearing this sort of thing off and on for a few seasons now (no doubt SD would know). I'm pretty sure that the club won't have the funds to replace it (especially having recently refurbished the floodlight pylons, upgraded the floodlamps and replaced the pitch) in the short term - unless some sort of grant or lottery funding support might be available. Anyone know anything here?
Did we not get a grant which covered most of the cost of the pitch?
