  1. That was the worst I've seen Dom Thomas play. We were lucky to get away with a draw
  2. So apparently Charlie Fox is back in proper training with the team. I hope he can get fit enough for the remainder of the season.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if CD axes Tommy Robson for this one. But that would mean he would have to sacrifice Thomson in the midfield, pull him back and use Turner in the midfield as I'm sure he won't risk playing Tizzard in a game like this.
  4. Thank you for saying that! I didn't like it either but was ashamed to say it out loud
  5. Horrible news. Really sad for the lad. Hope he makes a full recovery as soon as possible. I believe the physios from his home club will be taking over his rehabilitation as his time with us is clearly over.
  6. My mistake. I thought this was our third kit that season.
  7. I don't think clubs are allowed to go bonkers on the design & colours of their away kits. That's what third kits are for.
  8. Speaking of kits, why haven't we released a third kit this season? We've got only 10 games left so I don't see it happening and I don't understand why.
  9. Do you know when Tommy is out of contract? I don't see him featuring in Davidson's back 3 next season.
  10. It's a bit chaotic in the goal area, especially with Ferrie rushing in and out all the time (which is key in positions like this) but I think if we had VAR, it would have been called offside.
  11. The most recent interpretation of the handball, I think, is whether the hand is blocking a shot towards the goal, (intentionally or not). At the game, I thought it was a bit harsh too but I just watched the highlights and it's a clear penalty.
  12. The events that led up to the 87th min booking of Ferrie sums up the standard of refereeing in the game. I think that incompetent assistant was thinking that he was in a premiership match with VAR.
  13. What did you think of Jack Thomson's performance in midfield in against Arbroath? I thought we didn't use him at all and through no fault of his own, the play almost passed him by. That makes me wonder if Davidson would use him at the back again against Airdrie.
  14. One other thing I've been telling myself since last night's game: Alex Bannon has turned out to be a class act. He is what they call "the best signing of the season" when one of your own players really steps up his game and earns a permanent spot in the starting eleven. He has the pedigree and the potential to become our very own bandiera.
  15. I'm obviously over the moon after last night's result but I don't think it could be used as a yardstick. Arbroath were absolutely tragic and they should be seen as an exception to the competition we have in the league. Any team that can't claim all three points from them (home/away) in the rest of the season should hang their heads in shame (including us in our next game against them). It's not like they had a really bad day, they just don't belong in the Championship this season. Saturday's game against Airdrie is a proper yardstick. I'd settle for a goalless draw but if we can claim all three points, we stay in this league.
  16. I had a wee chat with Keith (the prophet) at half time and he said it would be 6. Fantastic night for Queen's Park. I'm sorry for Arbroath fans. Best of luck in the rest of the season but I think you guys know what's coming.
  17. You are right but I'm not nervous. It will most definitely go down to the wire but I'm sure we'll survive this season. We have a good team now, we are defending much better and we have options on the bench. And I trust Davidson. I remember checking the league tables of the previous seasons and a ~1,1 points average per game is almost always enough to stay up. That means we need 15 points in the remaining 11 matches. We'll play Arbroath & Airdrie twice and I think we're perfectly capable of getting at least 9 points from them. That leaves a deficit of 6 points from 7 matches. I think we'll be alright and either Airdrie or Inverness will finish 9th Btw wouldn't it be just magnificent to beat Airdrie and push them into the 9th spot in the last game of the season at Hampden?
  18. I'm not going to argue with you mate. He'll be gone and forgotten in a couple of months and you and I will still be here for the banter.
  19. Watch his first interview after he signed and listen to everything he says about himself and why he signed for the club. He has been looking to get match fit, get some first team minutes under his belt and sign for a "bigger" club since day one. He doesn't want to stay because he hasn't extended his contract and you can tell from the way he's coasting on the pitch. I don't know why people keep asking the same question to me. These are my speculations based purely my impression of him since (and again in the manner) he signed and that he hasn't extended his contract (yet). I don't have some kind of inside information on whether or not he wants to stay or feels he's too good for us. I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I don't know if Davidson is even interested in extending his contract. That's just how I feel about him.
  20. I said if.. And that has been my impression of him since (and in the manner) he signed with us and in every single game I watched him play. Mental? If you say so.
  21. I'm not sad about today's result, not in the slightest. For me the biggest news of the week has been Ferrie extending his contract for another 3 years and I'm still chuffed about it.
  22. He should have been left out of the squad weeks ago. Very poor attitude. Out of contract in 3 months and is not interested in staying. If he feels he's too good for us (he would be wrong), let him train with the B Team and f**k right off
