  1. Pretty bleak that their last ever home appearance will be in front of a half empty Easter Road during a midweek game to Motherwell. I am hardly Hanlon's biggest fan, but I think Montgomery's record would look slightly better if he had played more often.
  2. If Hanlon, Stevenson and Marshall were all to leave there is a decent chance Chris Cadden will be our only Scottish first team player next season.
  3. That is on the people who appointed him in my opinion. These things should be taken into consideration when appointing a new manager, matching their style of play with the squad you have.
  4. I doubt anything will happen. Montgomery should count himself lucky, though. He has had longer than Maloney, was better backed in January and has sill finished bottom six. Maloney was sacked for less. No way they sack Kensell, the Gordon's love him.
  5. I like it to an extent, if you are a fan of the club that finishes seventh with no prospect of relegation it results in five meaningless games, but them's the breaks. Looks like Hibs might do that for the second time in three seasons, unfortunately. Would prefer a larger top league, but that'll never happen with our current TV deal.
  6. They just don't get it, do they? So thick, the thought of changing their own behaviour doesn't cross their mind. Saw one on Twitter saying that we will reverse the decision because we need their money, he said: "You obviously need to blue pound if you are signing players like Le Fondre." We signed him when you had a full allocation mate. I'd like to think the quality of players we sign will actually improve on the back of Bill Foley's investment, so no, we really don't need the "blue pound" which is probably worth less than 1% of our annual turnover.
  7. Stewart is just desperate to stick the boot in. Doesn’t actually listen to anybody who disagrees with him.
  8. They could have saved about 10 minutes of chat by reading out the full Aberdeen statement. It’s fairly obvious that they’re close to appointing a manager. Makes sense to me, gives the incoming guy a chance to review the squad. All getting they’re knickers into a twist.
  9. I’m not for a second thinking that as a result of this we are suddenly going to turn into “The third force” in Scotland, and success is guaranteed on the back of it, that’s fairytale stuff. BUT, it all sounds positive to me; No debt, no loans from Foley, all sustainable. We retain controlling interest and Foley will likely never become majority shareholder. Sounds like Foley genuinely loves football and views this as an exciting opportunity (obviously there are benefits for Bournemouth too) Blind faith maybe, but bring it on.
  10. Certain people on this site won’t like to hear that.
  11. I don’t think their vote was about voting for or against the proposal, rather the right for HSL to have the option to buy shares in the upcoming issue because Hibs are asking all shareholders to give up pre-emotion rights at the AGM till February, hopefully that makes sense? Either way it’s a protest vote and I believe it’s more about how the investment has been presented rather than the investment itself. At the end of the day it’s a small amount of Hibs fans, whether the majority feel the same way I’m not sure.
  12. Correct or not, does VAR intervene if that happens at the other end of the park in the last minute? That's where the frustration lies for me. That and the fact we didn't take our chances against a piss poor Celtic team.
  13. I think he posts more about us than he does his own team. Can’t confirm because I don’t look at their thread as I am not obsessed or remotely arsed.
  14. Don’t get this at all. Interim basis again, if he does well will he get it permanently? Does he actually fit what they’re looking for or what the squad needs? Or are they just going for him because he’s a big name and football fans love him thanks to some memes? It should be box office though.
  15. Both young and right-footed which worries me slightly. Would prefer some experience and someone left sided. At this stage though cannot be fussy for centre backs.
  16. It is a minority stake. Both the Gordon's and Foley have stated that there is no intention for anything more at this stage or the future. Plus, the SFA rules would block a majority take over, the only reason this has been approved is because it is a minority stake. You are making up hypothetical situations in your head and trying to tell Hibs fans that they should be concerned about them, seek help.
  17. Not sure how much longer I can watch that system. He surely has to adapt though, otherwise we will finish bottom 6. Still a half chance of qualifying for Europe if he can make it work.
  18. Another one who comes to Hibs and looks shite, destroying his confidence in the mean time. Starting to think it is a we problem.
  19. Really? I would be surprised. Doesn't fit the style Monty has spoken about and could we afford his wages?
  20. Yup. So, so dull from top to bottom. Unless we have signings lined up I can't imagine Foley's investment will make an immediate impact either. Feels like we are just sleepwalking till the end of the season.
  21. No reaction from the grounds today? Celtic live commentary on both BBC Scotland and Extra.
  22. Hibs are at best third in the priority list when it comes to transfer dealings with large clubs in Europe anyway. Reality is the outwith the old firm in Scotland the rest of us are so far down the priority list we are at risk of fading into football obscurity. Our whole game up here exists to prop them up basically everything involves around them. Truth be told post covid and VAR I have found myself rapidly falling out of love with Scottish football (think I have saw yourself state similar), this investment genuinely excites me as a fan, how can that possibly be a bad thing?
  23. Making up fictional situations about Bournemouth getting a CB for free from Lorient before selling to PSG for £20m, please point me the way of an example of this ever happening. You know the Gordon's motivations now? They want to see through their fathers ambitions, if that involves getting a minority stake from a billionaire who will invest in recruitment so be it. Foley initially expressed interest in a Scottish team not to prop up Bournemouth but to challenge the Old Firm and regularly qualify for Europe, doesn't sound bad to me. If somewhere along the way we have to sell a player to Bournemouth (who if he is good enough to play in the Premier League we would be losing anyway) I am sure we fans will be more than happy if the other other promises are fulfilled.
  24. You are making things up based on pure fiction, or your understanding of things (which doesn't appear very educated) through your maroon tinted glasses. You are going to be one of the top posters if you keep this up, if you are slightly nervous about your rivals getting additional investment whilst you are stuck scrounging off your fans just say so.
  25. I really hope the board takes @VincentGuerin's comments on before going through with this deal, thanks to him I am now petrified off additional investment from an American billionaire. The mental gymnastics twinned with utter head loss and self delusion has been a joy to behold.
