  1. It definitely wasn't an accident. He ran 80+ yards and kicked it as hard as he could into that crowd. It landed about 8 rows in front of me and I was probably 8-9 rows from the back of the stand. He still didn't endanger anyone's life like the article seems to suggest. Although I think that's them quoting the court proceedings rather than the reports view. His motive wasn't to hurt anyone either but he was a bit stupid. Ideally if they were going to do something in court it should have been done like 6+ months ago rather than it hanging on this long to fine him £400
  2. While he's definitely a complete moron and running 80 yards to do what he did was very unnecessary.... "endangering the lives of football fans" is the line that's being used. No one was going to die.
  3. When I seen it just there my first thought was. "They're moving out a few of the younger lads to free up enough wage to try and bring someone in". Someone must be coming in though as there's no way we let 2-3 young lads go out on loan without someone coming in due to the threadbare state of the squad already. Surely?
  4. Especially when those very officials are regularly useless in those "hundreds" of games he mentions.
  5. Likely £33+ for Celtic Park "Today, I feel 15" to quote Gianni Infantino
  6. Based on the fact the media down there said there wasn't any add one I have doubts there was ever any. Another Guidi spin of bullshit to try and appease the fans?
  7. If he has pace then at least that's something... We just watched a fairly limited but pacey centre forward run rings round us on Saturday... If he can be an out ball into a channel now and again and we can get up the park to play a bit more in the final third then fine by me. 5+ goals this season then that would be reasonable. At the moment we're easy to play against due to our inability to play through teams so maybe this will help. I hope it bloody does!!!
  8. I presumed at the time the were worried they'd lose even more of the limited access they were getting from the club if they said anything critical. Now that Guidi is not involved that threat is significantly less likely. It would seem he was of the mantra of the Old Firm clubs. Banning anyone who dared to say anything bad etc as they were already not allowed to ever speak to certain players.
  9. Is the cancellation of the Burnley friendly an attempt to stop further injuries or have we suffered more already?
  10. Robbie Crawford being linked to "two Premiership" sides by the Record this evening. They're not named though. Has a whiff of Saints about it. Although the fact they're not named also smells of agent drumming up interest.
  11. We're in a bit of a predicament in terms of signings now. Loan signings from somewhere in England especially, those lads potentially have no skin in the game and nothing to lose by joining us. If we struggle and go down they'll still have been getting their 5+ grand a week especially if signed from likes of Charlton like mentioned before and will go back to their parent club and face no consequences of the poor season (if they've still got time on their deal there). Perm signings, who's going to want to come? There's no doubt countless quality players out there out of luck in terms of finding a new club but will they want to come to Perth? Will they also be of the mental and technical standard required to make the MASSIVE difference that frankly we're in desperate need of? All if's, but's and maybe's i guess? I have absolutely no doubt those working at the club on recruitment will be giving it their all though. Randomguy, its about time to get that CV sent in there with your suggestions!
  12. Is it him who got that horrendous West Ham/At Johnstone flag made Or was it Millwall?
  13. This isn't any better so far but why are the Davidson happy clappers fine with it under Davidson but not Macca?
  14. Just the same old. Sack the manager, the physio, the tea lady, the board etc. Meltdowns. It's a good thing folk are passionate but based on who's doing the posting without sounding cruel I wouldn't value their opinions on what bread to buy never mind their views on the football that they didn't probably see. ------- The issue with Davidson was his recruitment wasnt a strong point. Previously we'd tried a model with the head of recruitment scout role and it didn't work and instead of reviewing and finding a different type for person for the role because he didn't like it we allowed Davidson to take basically full control of it and continue to sign an obscene number of players. Most of which weren't good enough. He achieved something absolutely incredible with squad 95% signed by Tommy Wright. I know you should support your manager like they did with Davidson but support doesn't equal just giving him everything he wanted all the time. The club simply has to make better decisions as a whole and not just hand him the keys. The signings of Ambrose and then the almost immediately getting rid of Ambrose after signing him, the new contract to MOH, the signing of Crawford, Jacob Butterfield, the Hector-Ingram signing to name just a few horrendous decisions. All of which I'm fairly confident were all his decisions. Even the fee paid for Clark is fairly questionable, especially given his injury issues. I know the manager is unlikely to have agreed the fee though.
  15. My point was just that if you're going to consistently fail to do the very basics that are required defensively and make it fairly easy for the opposition then you'll not win many games regardless of shape.
  16. For me it matters very little at the moment what shape it is. I see people debating whether the current squad would be better in a back 3 etc. If nearly every time a cross comes into the box someone is allowed a free header on goal you're not going to win many games regardless of shape. The Stirling first goal clearly not a one off. Jordon White had a great chance at 2-0. I've not seen it again but at the time it didn't look like he had to do that much to end up in acres of space. There was countless others yesterday where we had bodies back but the bodies were more statues than defenders. The set pieces were difficult to defend against but we kept giving away the foul out wide and then trying to hold a high line. Also wasn't helped by Collum deciding to give County a corner on at least two occasions where it clearly wasn't after a free kick as well. That's before you get into the fact we couldn't string 3 passes together unless they were backwards. Not sure the manager is doing himself any favours by publicly slating the squad so heavily. Yes the experienced players haven't produced enough, probably because they're not up to it but public humiliation if they're already not the strongest mentally is just going to make things worse.
  17. Seen the usual "hatchet team St Johnstone". "Animals" etc being chucked about online. People love a complete over exaggeration. Aside from Gordon's tackle there another strong tackle in the game. As a side note, why does Simon Murray scream when throwing himself to the deck?
  18. At no point did any Saints player put any effort in to close anyone in the lead up to that goal. 2-3 passes no one tried.
  19. That was depressing viewing. On another note. The section were housed in is absolutely disgusting. Bird shite all over the place. All the seats around me are unusable unless you want to sit on shite.
  20. Hallberg signing for his previous club in Sweden according to Twitter. Suspected he was looking for a move closer to home.
  21. I think he's looking for someone to play instead of Ballantyne. Someone who'll run beyond the centre forward I think. Think Hallberg when he was brought down by Mulgrew when he was sent off.
