Kucheravyi was hit in the eye and due to swelling couldn't put contacts in. Hallberg staying and playing an advanced role and getting into the box with late runs was probably the plan to allow May to drift and run about.

Fairly sure it won't be Bair as didn't return to Scotland for pre season at all. He's not up to the standard of the Championship either.

On top of that he hasn't shown much in a long time that would suggest he's capable of playing at Premiership level anymore. Like I said before if it is true consistent game time might allow him to prove me very wrong but like Random Guy said he's always injured so he'd likely struggle to play regularly.

GMS for me is a player who has struggled for a couple of years to produce any real performances Regular game time might help bring some form back though. We'll soon find out if he was there.

Slowly looking like a bit of a shambles. Injuries can happen and signings will probably come but definitely a sink of swim opportunity for a few of the younger players though. If they struggle in the friendlies now then it's clear evidence they're not ready for the competitive stuff at Saints quite yet. Vice versa as well of course. Will the aiming to sign quality go out the window to be replaced by panic signings when we're going into the first few competitive games with 10-11 fit senior players? Ferguson at right back would be my guess here

Often see the debate about amongst fans whether or not a strip is horrible or nice. I'm just not fussed what they look like at all to be honest. I'm not the type of person who'll wear a football top and then therefore unlikely to buy it no matter the design. Each to their own though, if folk are going wear them they're obviously going to want it like it! From a business perspective, yes they probably should be out but the financial outcome for Saints between it being out now or end of July will be negligible as if you're the kind who'll buy it, you'll buy it anyway. I wonder if by waiting later you get it slightly cheaper from the supplier as you're not getting priority during the manufacturers busiest period.

Don't know much about Hallberg personally but believe his partner may have had a baby relatively recently. Is he potentially looking for a move back home? You'd think that wouldn't be too difficult to find for him though. Longer it goes on the longer it'll look like to our fans our deal is being used to persuade other offers to give him more £££.

Wasn't our previous wage structure based on a strong bonus structure? Average at best standard with good win bonuses? Additional bonuses for making top 6 etc? Edit: it seemed to attract the right kind of person who fitted in with existing squad and seemed to motivate them.
