  1. The amount of non action from Saints is unsurprising. In 18 months time they'll be phoning lapsed season ticket holders asking why they don't attend anymore.
  2. That was my feelings. They shouldn't just let it get worse and so toxic that it's going to become impossible to play in. Take action, control the situation. They won't though.
  3. If he's questioning their heart as well... If they're not committed why then is he picking them?!!!
  4. If he goes this week it's before it gets toxic. Instead though no doubt they'll wait until it's breaking point. Protests, foaming fans screaming abuse etc. Struggling to find any reason they would have not to sack tonight?
  5. Would have been my preferred option. Brown instead of Mcleannan and Wright further forward. See how it goes. Mcleannan while I maintain he's not good enough did at least try to be positive when he came on last week!
  6. Can't imagine it'll be long. Unless it's a result of the players discussions with the manager. Goes back to what I was saying re it a few weeks ago. If he does change it and sticks with the change he's just spent the last few months potentially agreeing pre contracts with players to fit into the back 5 shape, right sided central defender etc. If he does go back to it... Then we're in for another season of
  7. I think that's all we can hope for. A dull end of season post split end to the season. County winning tonight would have added significantly more pressure to tomorrow.
  8. I reckon his talk of fringe players is going to be throwing in the likes of Gallagher & Murphy. Front 3 of Carey and Murphy wide in behind May rather than a front 2 with one behind is my prediction.
  9. I've mentioned similar a couple of times on here and every time the same person jumped to their defence. I presume because he is one of the media match day volunteers. Was the school boy who did the media during covid etc paid? I have my doubts.
  10. Saints are now sleep walking right into doing similar but instead of it costing a potential cup run it could cost us our place in the league. So many parallels between Motherwells performance that night to Saints performances, especially at home. Not a new thing though. We've been a disaster at home fairly consistently under Davidson though.
  11. @PauloPerthI agree. It would help to revitalise the town potentially and support the local businesses. In reality to I imagine our council would be far less keen though. I imagine they'd be more focusing on things like "but the litter" and also very much against the idea of having football fans in the town centre every other weekend. They've not seemed particularly forward thinking to me in the past. The whole sign fiasco in the North Stand as well as trying to remove our North Stand etc.
  12. Think it probably all comes down to whether or not those levels of investment would be seen to be value for money, would it produce more long term income? Guessing probably not. Another thing they in an ideal hypothetical world could do is build a bigger gym space there as well. Not seen the gym space ad McDiarmid for years but it was always said to be partly why they trained at Stirling uni etc.
  13. Like you, I don't know the big picture aspect of it but the cost benefit surely doesn't stack up? I know McDiarmid will need ongoing maintenance and the older it gets the more often that'll be but how much would it cost to build a new stadium...? Many millions, surely you wouldn't make your money back in the reduction of maintenance costs? Unless by building a modern facility they could make better money from the hospitality side of things and then also not having to pay for private facilities for gym space etc? From a personal perspective a new facility could make many aspects of the experience better but I wouldn't want a better bar facility and modern stadium at the expense of it being in the middle of fucking nowhere. As long as they didn't do what St. Mirren did and basically build a mini McDiarmid I guess I've no idea really. Does anyone know what the annual maintenance cost is for McDiarmid, ballpark figure wise?
  14. More likely to be the Geoff Brown Arena or some shite Sponsor name. The Tabla Spice arena? Belter.
  15. Once the council inevitably close down Dewars and the Swimming pool that space would be available.....
  16. Think there's been on and off plans for houses there for 7-8 years has there not? There was also talk of a service station as well. Can't See the houses starting anytime soon with the current financial situation though. Terrible place for a stadium.
  17. Surely we're not genuinely looking at a new stadium....??? The Bridge of Earn suggestion absolutely stinks of the Browns finding a use for their land out there. A cynic would think thats a way for them to make money.
  18. Hopefully at very least. Why wait though? Why risk continuing this shit show. Could end up going down. A new manager doesn't guarantee an improvement I know that but... surely likely to be slightly better?
  19. All he talks about is "defending better" so not shocked. "Keep it tight". He's simply incapable of being positive and having a go.
