  1. I have no idea who Nouble's mates are. You count them up.
  2. Delighted to see McKenna back, but he's not our big man up front who is going to stay up top and notch goals. He's a free roaming second striker, an attacking midfielder. Although if he wins us the game, I will deny any of these posts ever happened!
  3. I get what you're saying, but these are our home games. I wouldn't expect us to run a commentary for our away games, I'd expect to buy a ticket from the home team for either a stream/commentary or for the game. Isnt that how it works? The home team gets the revenue. I've bought games from Raith tv before, I wouldn't expect Arbroath to bring a camera and have a competing stream!
  4. Tell you what, if this is all of Nouble's mates from London he obviously doesn't have many friends. How many of our squad are "Nouble's mates from London"?
  5. Just did a quick search, this was mid August. Legs had gone, apparently.
  6. Jacobs is a good example there. After 1 game, everyone had decided that his legs had gone and he couldnt cut it. After 3 games, he was still too slow and full of mistakes. Thanks to injuries and the like, he ended up getting a fair amount of game time, and now we've all decided that actually he is all right after all. Edited to add, or apparently not all of us!
  7. What did Bakare do wrong? He had one start in his entire time here, in which he looked pretty good (game against Morton near the end of the season). Guy barely had a chance. And yet if you ask some of our fans, he seems to be one of our worst ever signings. You know, Arsene Wenger used to say that he gave foreign signings a year to adapt. Here, its apparently 3 games. What has Isiaka done wrong? And Fosu, who has played plenty of games and looks fine. Corfe hasn't been brilliant so far to be fair, but the way you spin it, everyone who isnt Scottish is apparently a disaster for us. And now you have this guy, who was one of those racially abused by Beardsley, and was rewarded for coming forward by coincidentally not having his contract extended. He might give us something different, he might not be a success, but no doubt you've made your mind up before he even gets near a football pitch. And why don't you have a look at the Raith thread. They've taken a punt on a Faeroese striker, seemingly as there are no goalscorers in the Scottish league (sound familiar?). He's barely arrived, and already their fans are sceptical.
  8. You should have a look at the Raith thread. Its identical. Complaints about not having any strikers, demands that the manager signs one, comments about the lack of strikers in the Scottish game, complaints about taking "punts", lack of patience with any signings. Hopefully this guy gets given a bit of time to get up to speed, and is willing to actually take shots on goal.
  9. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I don't think he's looked poor in any position except up front. Do I think he's been outstanding? No. But "miles off the level required"? Nah. I imagine we'll be keeping him till at least the end of the season.
  10. Why would he be released? I think he's done pretty well for us. He's had to play up front, as a defensive midfielder, he's been stuck out on the wing, and he always puts in a good shift. He seems to fit in the team well. I like him, and I think he's worth having in the squad.
  11. Fosu? He was having a great time out there! Clearly he'd been sent on as a destroyer. Presumably the ref saw him having so much fun that he didnt have the heart to send him off.
  12. I agree that Hamilton was really good, but I'm a little confused by what you think Hancock has done wrong? I thought he had been pretty good this season, apart from when he was dropped into midfield. I wouldnt have had any concerns if he had started last night.
  13. Aye, that was the one! Unbelievable. Oh god, aye. I liked it when last season we were using Fraser Clyne paired with a co-commentator from the away club. But to the best of my observation, our highlights seem to be pretty fair!
  14. Well put together and very fair highlights! I cant mind the game, but a couple of weeks ago, a club put out some highlights for one of our away games, and they were laughably partisan and one sided. These were really good and fair.
  15. I think it helped that you had two absolute giants man marking all 5 feet of Dale Hilson!
  16. I enjoyed that! That was a proper blood and thunder game. I was pleased to see us playing with a bit of steel again, and not being afraid to dish it out. A satisfying point. Some actual shots on goal would have been nice, but you can't have everything. I also enjoyed being back at Ochilview, its a stadium I've aye liked to visit, even if they do have nazi stewards. Edited to add, and I see Fosu is getting stick, but I thought he played a spoiling role well and looked right up for the game. I enjoyed seeing him put himself about.
  17. Go look at the original quote where I say "Hamilton and Mercedes". Even others have admitted I was right, but defended it. Mercedes weren't a factor in the race or championship at all, so I was stunned to open the thread for the first time and see post after post about Mercedes. But I think, as a Perez and F1 fan, I'll leave this thread be. Something very disquieting about the sheer level of anger and negativity, even on a day when someone becomes a world champion. I'll stick to football threads.
  18. Yep, that all proves my point nicely. I thought I'd find some Verstappen or even some Checo fans on here, but nope. Just haters.
