  1. It’s times like this I realise that some posters on P&B are so much younger than me. What is a “reflection” - is that some modern day thinking time? In my day we’d have just got the belt by whatever sadistic teachers felt like dishing out some brutal violence.
  2. Are they allowed by law to do that with this “pronoun” terminology used these days?
  3. Neville “this could start riots!”
  4. The idea of big money in England hoovering up our young talent before we really get a chance to see them get regular football gives me the boak. I understand why these clubs operate that model and why young players choose that option but it’s still fecking shite. Although I guess down the years St Mirren benefited by taking on Steve Clarke (Beith Juniors), Frank McAvennie (Johnstone Burgh) and Ian Ferguson (Clyde) at a relatively young age for little outlay but profiting later on through big transfers. Modern fitba is pish. Fcuk Sky, etc….
  5. Why does a decision like that take so long - it was clear as day - yet Neville originally says “it’s close” now he’s saying it’s miles off. Neville and VAR are both shite.
  6. I’m not sure if you’re at the wind up. Or have only just arrived on planet earth. Surely you realised there is only one club that will be first to raise a statement and a legal challenge about anything. That was the first clue. Simply the worst! I think it should be required viewing that you both re educate yourselves with the original orange/ginger Bomberman! Some of his quotes could challenge the greatest (comedy) speeches of all time! One in particular at 4mins 30secs: “The Holy Scotland is bringing us down”! It’s incredibly funny but rather sad that these people live in the same country as us.
  7. Any news from Turkey on our John Hartson wannabe?
  8. Getting back on topic. Would it be possible to round all these Jakeballs up and stick them all on the one plane, inform them that the pilot is the Pope and then it mysteriously disappears over the Irish equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle? Matt Le Tiss can discuss this on one of his podcasts. Obviously I would not wish any harm to happen to these individuals. Although perhaps abduction by aliens who perform all manner of sexual activities may force them to have a rethink about Tina Turner.
  9. The huge financial backing to promote the marketing of English football is having a massive influence on why it’s deemed so popular all round the world not just Scotland. Hopefully the EPL crashes and burns at some point in the future.
  10. Anyone taking bets on which Scottish club will be first? We demand to know!
  11. I still have a shawl that was knitted for when I was “christened” aged a few weeks when some dude tried to splash some water on my napper. I still have a St Mirren 1977 centenary scarf which is one of my oldest personal mementos that hasn’t withered away or been lost in countless house moves.
  12. I watched this film stoned. Never ever again.
  13. I’m not asking for the top tier to be expanded. I’m suggesting a model to be reintroduced that eliminates the bottom two clubs stinking the top league up and making the championship division below a fairer competition where top club gets automatic promotion and the 3 (or 4) teams below to go into a playoff arrangement similar to what happens for decades down south. I believe the setup currently favours the 11th side in the upper league.
  14. I think I’d rather die on a plane to Benidorm than put up with that pish. It is utterly pathetic that these people think that this is something to “celebrate”.
  15. You talking from personal experience?
  16. I’m old enough to remember two clubs automatically relegated and two clubs promoted to the top flight. No chance will the top flight teams will ever vote that back in. It certainly freshened up the top league. The Self Preservation Football League. I like the playoffs but not in the current format. I think the best way would be to have a shootout from the championship for a second promotion slot and 11th place in top flight just to be automatically relegated. Similar to what happens in England. That would hopefully dispatch the Perth Farmers.
  17. Imagine going through your whole life not being able to make your own decisions. Most OF supporters I’ve encountered hate their city rivals. A hatred based on bigotry and sectarianism. What a life choice - and as you describe it’s passed down the generations. Majority of diddy club fans can meet up pre and post match for a pint and a laugh with their rivals - win lose or draw. There’s a good reason why many diddy club supporters don’t go to games involving the OF home or away. It’s always a toxic and poisonous atmosphere. Aberdeen and Hearts would certainly have brought larger crowds to Hampden at the weekend had they not been drawn against the OF. I choose to support my local team rather than be influenced by my father. If Abercorn had still been around I’d have supported them instead.
  18. “Jakes as a manager” thread for this pish. Alex Rae tops the St Mirren supporters list above Alan Stubbs, Alex Miller and Tommy Craig.
  19. A repeat of the 1980 SC final? Get Archie to write a script for the TV pundits. Think he might need to tone down the language as I’m not sure the modern day equivalent could pronounce some of these words. “This is like a scene out of Apocalypse Now…we’ve got the equivalent of Passchendaele and that says nothing for Scottish football. At the end of the day, let’s not kid ourselves. These supporters hate each other.”
  20. Perhaps the Green Brigade and the Bhoys will attempt a rescue mission. Can’t let a fellow cnut suffer such polis brutality after public provocation and intimidation. You’ll never walk alone? “When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark“ Possibly you’ll never walk again if the Turkish polis have their way. Hopefully you’ll never fly again…..
