  1. Disappointed my annual Welfare trip in midweek ended in defeat but looking forward to tomorrow’s cracker. Best of luck to both. Don’t think there’s a tea hut yet so may have to visit KFC on route. (For legal purposes, other fast food outlets are available!).
  2. Not sure if this has been covered already but with 12 East juniors having applied for the EOS, and assuming they're all accepted, that would only leave a combined 16 clubs for the regional north and South leagues. Do we therefore assume there’s a merger and it’s a straight 3 x 16 team set up, or a 16 team super league with two regional 16 team leagues feeding into it. I’d favour the former.
  3. Have a feeling next week could be quite a tricky one for LTHV. They’ll give the cup final 110% for sure on Sat, but it’ll be a real come down playing a league game v Burntisland on Mon night - I suspect that’ll be a surprisingly tough game, and then have Tynie 2 days later. Win both of those and they deserve all the plaudits they get.
  4. Fantastic come from behind victory and a wonderful strike that deserved to win any game. But OMG it wasn’t half absolute baltic indoors!
  5. Actually went to see Edinburgh Utd last season for only the second ever time. Bit surprised they considering the move. Threave could theoretically beat Kelty/Lothian and I appreciate Threave put Kelty out a cup earlier in season, but in a game of this magnitude, I can’t see anything other than the EOS champion winning by at least 5 goals on aggregate.
  6. Wouldn’t 7 new clubs bring the members up to 20, 21 if Vale go down too. Either way, exciting times ahead over next few weeks.
  7. I suspect at least 3 new clubs will join the EOS this summer regardless. Outwith Dalkeith, would be great if that included Bo’ness and Bonnyrigg. A genuinely thought out joined up pyramid would be preferable but I suspect within 4 years we’ll have one anyway through default including a senior league in the West.
  8. Here’s hoping results continue - what a finale in store if so.
  9. Very fair comments all round. Love the pyramid playoffs and saw you guys miss out over the two legs last season. Be nice to see a repeat and two huge games to look forward too if so.
  10. Excellent news - club license and promotion double...........anything’s possible!
  11. Heard about this via twitter tonight. Great news for the EOS and even better for the pyramid at large. Here’s hoping a few others make the leap too.
  12. Great thanks, will add to the todo list for next season.
  13. Anyone know if Lochee Harp have moved into their new ground and if so when it happened?
  14. Great game for the fans to look forward too. Hopefully the wee bit of extra money they get will help towards one or two of the projects they have on facilities. Good luck for Sat!
  15. Million percent spot on re West clubs. Very frustrating but I'm optimistic a solution will be found in due course.
  16. No. Groundhop can cover various leagues, as noted above with Cumbernauld Colts from the Lowland League also a candidate for the Friday night game.
  17. Game been a bit of a damp squib. No chance Leith scoring 4, they don't even look all that interested.
  18. A lot of talk about only one promotion spot etc but remembered it's long been rumoured that Lowland will soon split into East and West and therefore it's not surprising that 3 ambitious junior clubs would make the move to the EOS. i suspect the intention is that within a couple of seasons maximum that the top clubs in the EOS wil be eaten up by the Lowland East.
  19. I'm heading as a neutral too. 20 tickets have been returned so u night get lucky if u get there early enough.
  20. With all the work about to start at Saughton, could we potentially be in a situation that Hutchie could be licensed and end up in a potential end of season play-off with Wigtown & Bladnoch? Infact if Hutchie do win the league (which is certainly no given), could they go up automatically if the Lowland sticks to its mandatory floodlight policy which was due to begin next season as W&B do not have them. (much like a few actual Lowland sides!).
  21. Outstanding result, gutted I missed it. Was there a decent crowd bearing in mind importance and with so many other games off?
