  1. good on you So you actually agree with me and don`t see where I was trying to score points.Statement made it seem they were doing something beyond the call of duty where they really were not..Personally not interested in what other managers do or don`t do Not flippant in the slightest.Of course we hope the budget is better than this seasons but history shows its unlikely Its irrelevant whether the accounts don`t make great reading or not. They were promised months ago, they are ready, send them to the shareholders, simple We have officials at the club who are more than capable of that so anything I say will not add anymore negativity that eminates out of Starks regularly Why is that? The accounts share holders are waiting for are not for this season. However, this seasons will make interesting reading and be quite worrying I would imagine Sorry that I do not tow the party line where all things are positive and apologise for airing my views on a football forum
  2. f**k me,if somebody is willing to give me a red one at least have the baws to say why?
  3. "This afternoon for example. Our manager and assistant manager were the only managers to be sufficiently motivated to attend the Challenge Cup Final so that they could run the rule over 2 of our next 4 opponents. And that after the long trip to Dingwall." I would have expected no less considering the position were in "The board is also taking forward detailed plans for next season. Of course we do need a Plan A and a Plan B, depending on the outcome of the team's fight, and these are well developed following our Strategy Meeting a few weeks ago. You criticise the board's communication. Fair enough it is definitely an area for improvement, but you will, I am sure, understand that it would not be a smart move to set out our plans at this juncture, when our football fate is not known. In any event, no final decisions have yet been taken but be assured we are determined to get the club on an even keel." Lets hope its a better budgeted plan A,B,C or Z than this season "The accounts have been audited and will, of course, be shared with shareholders first, but again there is plenty time for all of that stuff after the end of the season." Why wait till the end of the season? If they are ready get them sent out. They were promised last year
  4. And theres more...Wonder if this has been factored into their debt RANGERS have defaulted on the final £150,000 instalment of their transfer fee for Alejandro Bedoya, who joined from Orebro in August. In doing so the Swedish club have now become the third side that Rangers owe money to; with the Ibrox club now owing £815,000 in unpaid transfer fees. Rangers paid £400,000 for the United States internationalist in August, but the midfielder has rarely featured. Orebro agreed that Rangers could pay the fee in instalments but would appear to have little hope of receiving their money due to the current maelstrom at Ibrox. "It is true that there is a last instalment that has not been received from Rangers," said Magnus Skoldmark, Orebro's sporting director. "The deadline passed recently and now we are in contact with the Rangers about this. Right now, there is a lot going on at the club and we will wait until they get back to us. "The information we have received is that we are a preferred creditor. Everything is up in the air now and there are many different scenarios that could happen, so we will just have to wait." One solution is Orebro could simply take Bedoya back for free. The midfielder's success in Sweden is what prompted Rangers' interest in the first place and his return would be welcomed. "Alejandro was great with us and we would look at taking him back if that is an option," said Skoldmark. Rangers have also failed to pay Rapid Vienna their final £425,000 segment of the £4m transfer fee for Nikica Jelavic, while GAIS Gothenburg await £240,000 for the transfer of Mervan Celik, even though he has now left Ibrox. Christer Wallin, the Swedish club's chairman, has threatened to take Rangers to FIFA over the issue. Celik will be more concerned about his own future, though. Both he and Gregg Wylde have left Rangers by mutual consent but it is understood that neither will be able to sign for a new club unless they are granted special dispensation by FIFA. "This is done on a case-by-case basis so it's hard to put a timeframe on it," said a spokesman. inShare
  5. good article http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/tom-english-administrators-indecision-has-increased-threat-of-liquidation-1-2159313
  6. Chick "fud Young" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/17295379 Apologies if this has been posted, difficult to keep up
  7. Thats not the Dave King King, who faces or has faced more than 300 charges for racketeering and money laundering/tax evasion allegedly?
  8. Sad,tragic and like Bill thoughts go to the family. Not wanting to sound insensitive but dont see why RRFC would hold a minute silence
  9. Hello John Sorry but results are important for the balance sheet. 12 wins or is it 11 in a calendar year yet McGlynns the man to take the club forward? Not disputing hes a hard worker but thats a given surely. Not disputing hes a hard worker but thats a given surely.Yes we have been blighted by our budget but its not what you have its how you organise what you have. I think we could ask for more, like an organised, motivated, hard working side Agree the club need stripped back and that includes the manager
  10. something we are close to its just a pity that everyone going through the turnstiles on a saturday ain`t paying.
  11. Hutton was meaning home games for the finance side of things Sorry but slashing prices will not increase the crowds by much if at all.Folk wont pay to watch pish no matter the price.Product and performances on the park is the only way supporters will turn up on a Saturday.f**k,I know folk if it wasn`t for having a season ticket wouldn`t be turning up
  12. Chill ffs Theres no need to try and be condoscending. Never mind running the club on fresh air, running the club in a proper, efficient manner would be a start but thats for another day.The empty seats will be plentyful if performances resultsc continue So your saying the manager played no part in it? Of course money buys you better players but is not the be all and end all and cold hard cash doesn`t equate to winning leagues and cups.Throw a manager who is used to working with low budgets into a club with pots of cash to spend and theres a good chance he would be lost and vice versa By all accounts Peterhead have thrown big money by 3rd division standards at the club and look where the are. Heavens this a forum for discussion but because we have a difference of opnion you see no point. If we all agree there would be no purpose to the forum .Anyway,I do accept that cuts to the budget has had an impact on the size of our squad but that was McGlynns choice, small full time squad as opposed to a larger mix of part time/full time squad.Accepting whats on show on a Saturday is different. Its not what or how much you have its how you organise what you have. Much like some fans were out in force after the Dunfermline game saying McGlynn had fucked it up for us and lost any chance of us winning te league with his tactics. No wetting knickers here and don`t recollect saying the manager was shit but never mind This Hallelujah
  13. Straight from the John McGlynn book of cliches We did have a 5 year plan right enough but for the life of me cant remember what it was. This poor run of form, results. performances has been for longer than one half season. McGlynn, the team, the BoD having been given the plaudits when merited in the past and its to be expected and accepted they get the criticism when merited.
  14. Good selective quoting Andy but I`m not judging him on one bad selection or one game.Used the Dunfermline game as an example due to its high profile .I don`t have time to list all other games where he has shown his limited managerial capabilities.p&b post sums it up for me though Not deluded as I expected a struggle this season, jesus I`m auld enough and been following the Rovers long enough to know that but theres struggling and struggling.again see p&b post I do doff my cap in your support of McGlynn, something I feel is dwindling from the masses
  15. This Even giving our lofty position in the league last season a fair proportion of our our performances were rotten but at least, well the majority of the time the team looked committed, passionate, hungry and all other well known footballing cliches.Stats for Jan 2011 to Jan 2012 for me does not make for good reading McGlynn showed his managerial capabilities with his team selection against Dunfermline at East End Park And this
  16. In the grand scheme of things neither Hill or Dyer will be missed but as you say, number wise they will be Exactly and something he uses regularly as an excuse.
  17. The person in question was the fans rep although why they call him that I don`t know as he does not represent a fair portion of the support.he was also the one who had the mike at the time as he was tryng ro explain the concordat, there was no others voiced their disagreement as they are all in agreement with the concordatl We`ll have to wait on a potential big investor to find that out but as i said previously if the club was about to go tits up the concordat would be torn up.Wonder what the Chairman thinks,oh wait,we don`t have one I don`t think anyone knows how voting on these things work but would think that those that have most shares/majority,money invested would have the biggest say There are supporters myself included who have more shares than at least one of the directors Mine also but that has changed and not sure if that is the updated version
  18. When he was asked if someone came forward offering to invest 1 mill for example would that said person be turned away ,he answered yes then as he was persued on external investment he attempted to waffle his way out of it .Now if anyone had and was willing to invest a 1 mill I`d expect that person would want a big say in the running of the club and rightly so but the trusts thought up concordat would not allow a single investor as it for shared ownership .I`m sure if the club was about to go tits up they wouldn`t be long in ignoring that part of the concordat Anyway, unlikely to come across that scenario. Christ were a rudderless ship as it is with no chairman ( 100k secures the position) never mind a mystery investor.
  19. Of course he didn`t,I made that up If only things were as easy as that.
