  1. Aye. That was pretty much the worst performance i've seen from an Ayr side but tbf aside from 10mins in the second half Queens never let them get started.
  2. Probably Dom's best performance in 2024. He was really up for it, unfortunatley for you guys.
  3. Think we are ok. Theshold is 10 cards by week 32. According to footie stats Ruari, Jack T and Will Tizzard on 7. Welsh, Robson and Turner on 6.
  4. Had a blether with him when he popped into the social club..err Bar 1867 for a pint (of water!) on Saturday. He said he was going well and had been training with the reserves that morning. Thought he would be fully fit this week then it would be up to Callum Davidson to decide whether to pick him.
  5. I agree Wilson has made a big difference to the defence. Whilst plaudits are going to him and Callum today I thought Louis had a good game out on the right. He was always looking for the ball and had decent intent about him today. He hasn't got the pace to beat players often but another tidy performance from him.
  6. The Partick side we played last Saturday didn't look like one that has 64 points in them. I think they will be looking over their shoulder more at Morton than ahead at you.
  7. Both teams need a win I think. I am expecting another fairly tight game against Raith. I agree with @AllanJM that there are some similarities in footballing style between ourselves and Thistle. I think both teams will try and get the ball down and pass on the deck. From memory Raith have a very effective press so I expect the first half could be hard going for us but hopefully three games in a week will catch up with Raith and the game will open up to our advantage in the second half. I've got a lot of respect for the Rovers but as @Zanetti says we have run them close in our games this season. So plenty of respect for their achievements but nothing to fear given our squad is stronger and a bit more resolute. The biggest fear I have is the referring, which we are all suffering from. We haven't had much luck over the last few weeks and I have a nightmare of Easton throwing himself to ground around the box (as usual?) and getting something. We need to take care of business, be clinical, and make sure such incidents don't have a bearing on the outcome of the game.
  8. I agree about the Admiral Kit, a design classic in my view and I still enjoy wearing it to games from time to time. The polkadot kit is a bit marmite. I didn't like it initially but it has grown on me over time and it is good to blow the dust off of it every now at a game. Never went for the tartan kit as I didn't like it despite the good intentions.
  9. Lol! Disappointingly no bikini clad ladies when I click on it. Better clear out your computer cache and cookies my friend
  10. Not a complete list but fill your boots. Queen's Park Kit History - Football Kit Archive
  11. Agree the design looks good and certainly better than our current home strip, of which the less said the better. The Social Club design wasn't what i was expecting but I think I quite like it. Certainly on brand with our current marketing materials.
  12. Indeed. If my memory serves on both goals our defenders were out muscled and we lost the ball in dangerous areas. Hoofing it into row Z isn't pretty but is sometimes necessary.
  13. It was certainly "ball to hand", one of which was behind his back and the other by his side. Very harsh to me (obviously). Just wish we still had the old fashioned "hand to ball" interpretation of hand ball. At least then we (and refs) seemed to know what was a hand ball and what isn't. Every week we seem to different interpretations. Anyway. It was a good game despite the ref. Onwards and hopefully upwards.
  14. We have certainly become a bit more streetwise under Davidson. A necessary evil in this league as playing like a boy scout team under Veldman didn't do us any favours. Yes we are bit aggrieved about the decisions. We are all suffering under inconsistent referees this season but unfortunatelly for us some recent decisions have had game changing consequences for us that are keeping us right in the middle of the relegation playoff scrap. So apologies if we are greeting a bit but it will take a while for us to catch up with Morton on the whinging front. They are league leaders at that!
  15. A decent game of football spoiled by some terrible refereeing. Thistle did well to get back into the game but that looked very suspect penalty.
  16. Thistle have a stronger squad and have had the better of us this season, helped in part by Veldman's tactics which the Jags exploited without mercy. We've now got a new shape, stronger squad, and a bit of experience to make us a tougher opponent to crack. Would still have the jags as favourites but we have more than enough about us to get something out of this game. Certainly don't fear the Jags anymore.
  17. He is training again but think I read that he had picked up an injury. Be surprised if we see him this season.
  18. That was a decent game of football today from both sides. I Thought Queen's edged the first half and deserved to be in front. We moved the ball crisply and looked threatening in attack. Conversely, in the first half Airdrie looked a bit like us under Veldman i.e. a tidy team that eventually passes itself into trouble and the other team capitalises. The second half was different though. Airdrie upped their game. They had more possession and territory without always threatening as much as they should although they had plenty of pressure for the last 10 mins. We would have folded a few months ago but Davidson's version of QP has a bit more resolve. Longridge won't want to see the Airdrie goal back as it looked like he got skinned there. It was not Ruari's day hitting the woodwork and someone missing that second-half header with the goal open. I guess he was unsighted by the defender? Enjoyed the day out though. Four points out of six is not a bad return this week. Tough few fixtures ahead though.
  19. £5 if I remember correctly Better than the £60 fine I got for parking at Morrison's for the Airdrie v Raith game!
  20. I did email in a question about that but it was not put to her and I didn't hear the stadium mentioned during the bits of the show I managed to catch.
  21. Great team performance by Queens. Sheridan looks a good signing. That's a poor Arbroath side though. Poor lad in goal had a bit of a mare in the second half. Fairplay to the Arbroath fans for travelling down midweek and staying to the end. Respect.
  22. You sound like us during last season's playoffs. We just wanted the season to end.
  23. An unhelpful result at Firhill tonight. At 5pm tomorrow we could be 9th or 5th in the table depending on results. Mad league this but you got to love it.
