  1. Multiply those attendances by four and might be accurate. https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/scottish-championship/attendances
  2. I remember an interview with Owen Coyle who said that in 22/23 the QP budget was exactly the same as it was for the league one season. But the money went further as we operated with a much smaller first team squad (15 players). This year most of our higher earners have left and we signed kids. So I would be surprised if there is much difference in this years playing budget. We will find out soon enough after the AGM.
  3. Thistle have little cash to splash and have some good wingers already. Whilst they are better than the chasing pack they do not look like a serious promotion prospect this season. Not sure Dom would get much from a move such as that.
  4. Don't think we will miss him tbh. Light weight on the ball and was guilty of not tracking back.
  5. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/4861036/raith-rovers-colin-cameron-dan-oreilly-preparing/ Raith missing quite a few players this weekend. Hope for us? Is Ruari suspended? If not he might enjoy himself this weekend.
  6. Just wait. They will announce him as Director of Football tomorrow
  7. With you on the appointment excitement factor regarding Davidson. Bit concerned about his signing record which others seem to think was poor. A Head Coach gig with a decent DoF might work though.
  8. Doubt it personally unless Dom is wanting away. He is under contract until 2025 so we would be unlikely to let him go cheaply. You guys got the cash? And gven you guys don't exactly love him (ex-Par etc) I think a move to Utd would be more likely.
  9. I was at the Airdrie game and that was the poorest display I have seen from Rovers this season. Didn't really have any plan beyond pumping crosses into box and hoping something will happen. That said, that approach might work against QP as we are still notoriously bad at defending crosses. However, we have managed to be competitive against you in our games until we sabotaged ourselves with daft substitutions. I'm optimistic we might come home with a point. Dom Thomas setting up McInstry for his first goal.
  10. Yourselves and Thistle haven't been short of goals this season. Utd though.... Hopefully just a bit of fluff. But if not I hope any move would be after the season. Don't want another Simon Murray moment, we are in enough trouble as it is.
  11. I don't have a problem with us getting another striker but we already have a decent squad of midfielders in my view, particularly if McInstry plays to his potential and Savoury returns in March. Love Foxy to bits but he has been as gaffe prone as the other centre backs. Reid looks promising but Tizzard doesn't look ready yet. So centre back for me is a priority signing.
  12. That does not make a lot of sense to me. Got enough attacking midfielders as it is. Need a centre back or two.
  13. We have only lost one more game than Airdrie who are sitting fourth. Mad league.
  14. That might explain her very low profile this year. Despite disappointment in her tenure with us I hope she is well.
  15. I was at the airdrie game today. They were well worth the 3 points today. Didn't give Raith a sniff on goal and counter attacked well. A Raith goal never looked like coming. A wee ray of hope for us for next week if we can emulate that performance.
  16. A good job on the academy and community side but little else seemed to go right. Given the stadium debacle and her very low profile during this turbulent season I don't think many QP fans will miss her.
  17. Only second game using 3-5-2, which we started playing on Tuesday.
  18. I am not sure, to be honest, and a good question to be asked at next week's AGM. I hope we get some form of discount given the Scotland team's access to Lesser, which has a better pitch (best in Scotland/UK apparently!) and excellent changing facilities (modelled on Tottenham's so we are told). Not sure how much allure playing at Hampden has for footballers but I would imagine it is more than playing at Lesser!
  19. Some good honest comments from Keith McAllister in today's match programme about the need for a reboot at next week's AGM. Hope this happens. I am not a member so won't be there. But I would be interested to know how much revenue the Lesser Hampden Director's box hospitality suite (built in lieu of an away stand) has generated thus far, and whether it exceeds away ticket sales thus far at big Hampden. Could a member on here ask the question? If it is generating more money than ticket sales then at least the unpopular decision to build it can be defended.
  20. Well said. I can live with getting beat but the absolute absence of clear communication on next steps and some vsible leadership from the Committee and CEO is criminal. Should hang their heads in shame.
  21. Plenty of free parking at the ground. Away fans usually asked to go to the Aitkenhead Rd end, which is handier for getting back on the motorway after the game.
