  1. Tried it. It also brings up; Bros Jedward Margaret Thatcher & Ronald Reagan Renee and Renato Milli Vanilli Geoff Bezos and his one friend Cannon & Ball Jim Bowen & Bully Plus many, many, many others .....
  2. You won. Everything else comes second. Well done Lichties.
  3. I'm greatly enjoying sitting back, saying nothing, and watching this pan of crystal-ball pish boil dry. It's especially pleasing watching the predicted front-runners being repeatedly trousered by weak opposition, whilst plucky wee relegation candidates Morton (fan-owned, debt-free, in profit and with most of a solid squad carried over from last year etc etc etc) pull out win after win, and sit comfortably at the top of our League Cup group with the best GD in the entire competition. Satisfactory. Very satisfactory indeed.
  4. Agree with all of the above. Was a cracking away day despite the 250-mile round trip. Great banter with the local support, good beer in the social. A club which deserves to do well in League One this season.
  5. Not the result yous were hoping for obviously - but fair play at the way you smothered us during the first half. It was our subs which really changed the game. But I have to say that Kelty instantly became my second-favourite-ever away day, bettered only by Arbroath. A lovely wee ground, full of solid banter and proper supporters of the game. Really enjoyed it. What a massive shame that we still won't meet again for awhile when you trouser League One and go up. Because we'll hopefully be trousering the Championship and we'll be going up as well .... Don't bookmark this just in case the miracles don't happen. But fair play again and thanks for making us feel so welcome. All the best from Greenock.
  6. Fair play lads. St Mirren were also rank rotten against us last week.
  7. As mentioned by another contributor - fair play to supporters of Alloa, Annan and Airdrie for engaging in a civilised and respectful conversation about fitba. But every team sadly has its roasters, and I stand by waiting for our very own Toby to red-card this.
  8. Cheers for all the useful replies lads. All the best for this season.
  9. Genuine question as I'm not a betting man - if I put £100 on Morton at 16/1 right now, then we have a storming season meaning that the bookies gradually change the odds as the season progresses, will my bet still be honoured at the original 16/1 if the unthinkable miracle happens?
  10. Those placing 'The Famous' Morton as anything below 4th are in cloud cuckoo land. We only missed last year's playoffs on goal difference, we go into the season with largely the same quality squad with further additons to come - and arguably with the hungriest and most effective manager in the division. We're also fan-owned, 100% debt-free, superbly supported by Dalrada, and therefore unencumbered by the kind of financial pressures which inevitably have a negative and detrimental effect on the performance of any team out on the grass - be they good or bad.. We would also have beaten C**tic last year apart from those 5 lucky goals they fluked. Write us off at your peril. FWIW - I also think that Airdrie will surprise a hell of a lot of fitba folk this season - and it's good to see a club rising to this level after the shite endured by their supporters given the club's not-too-distant history. Also looking forward to seeing what potentially fascinating rabbits Raith pull out of the hat. I really hope that Lichties get their act together - Gayfield's my favourite away day and their supporters are solid, proper fans of the game - humble and fair-minded virtually to a man. Same goes for Somerset Park - a proper, old-school ground full of proper fitba supporters. It's good to be welcoming Pars back into the fold, they have a real chance of continuing their upsurge and deservedly so. Jags (despite their financial troubles) have been rejuvenated by Kris Doolan - and props to the man for achieving what he has in such a short space of time. Brilliant. My heart bled for Queens fans as their tail-end of last season imploded, and the uncertainties over finances and their ground shenanigans possibly leaves a question mark over how all of that shite will affect performance on the pitch. Tangerines have to be favourites given their greater funding and former Premiership status - but fair play to them if their P&B supporters aren't the fucking roasters that their across-the road dark blue neighbours mostly seemed to be. It's going to be another classic Championship arse-puckering nailbiter. Best wishes and good luck to all clubs from this supporter of the Ton. See yous all at Cappielow.
  11. That's your problem. You forgot to bring in Haaland as well.
  12. Fashions come and go. Me? I'm eagerly anticipating the return of the 1970's bouffant fitba perm.
  13. Just to echo what other Morton supporters have said - that's a great signing for DUFC and a significant (but totally expected) loss for us. The best in the division by a country mile IMO - although I do take the point about Milne pre-injury. All at Ton wish him the very best in his future career.
  14. I'd agree with this. The last year has shown how astutely and responsibly the club's finances are being managed.
  15. And fair play to you too. Welcome to the Championship, all the best for the upcoming season.
  16. We have a substantial number of last season's solid squad already re-signed, we made a profit last year, we're debt-free, we have arguably the best young manager in the division who's totally turned the club around from top to bottom, and we narrowly missed the playoffs. Don't write us off.
  17. Maybe the builders are waiting for a skip or are busy laying someone's patio.
  18. Agreed, 100%. A very astute comment from someone who's knowledgable about the game.
  19. Absolutely scunnered for Ayr fans. I'm a Morton supporter but I stay in Girvan and I've been coming to Somerset home games every time Ton are up at Cove or somewhere else stupid-miles away. Keep your chins up, laddies - fitba can be a cruel mistress. See yous next season.
  20. His Dad passed? I didn't know that. I know how I felt when my Dad passed last year - it destroyed me. How anyone can think of anything else, I've no idea. I admired Doolan for what he's achieved - but he just went up another level.
