  1. Brilliant I started off at old Annfield in 1973 right through to Forthbank at present Players like George Young in goals..Matty Mcphee...Rab Duffin...Billy Steele.....Micky Lawson...Stewart Carr were my 1st memories...I was a bino from that day The stand behind the goals..the wooden pie hut going on fire several times a season...I've still got the scar from a rocket fuelled temperature bovril (aka oxo cube) the red ash around the outside...red railings...Neil Diamond over the tannoy system (better than the present one at Forthbank) the clubhouse & changing rooms.... Bob Shankly as manager Being a ball boy ️ Brilliant times...wouldn't change any of it...seen some great players & goalscorers.... Steele...Colquhoun..Brogan...Watters...Snodgrass...Carrick are all different but fantastic service to the club Great times under Alex Smith..... Allan Moore was brilliant for us.... laterally & presently Darren Young What's not to love about your local boyhood teams whoever they are Bino's for me always
  2. Totally agree with you Bigger attendances would be greatly appreciated but that's outwith our control, what we can do is create a good atmosphere, fan friendly club, open & welcome to all. I follow my team home and away weekly & wouldn't swap it...we have lots of ups & downs but I've witnessed those throughout the years... the old firm just isn't for me,, i can't change others opinions But every 2nd Saturday i get that buzz entering Forthbank & on away days from Galabank to Kelty on Saturday...hoping & praying for a bino's victory Win,lose, or draw i will still be there the following week with the same hopes of a victory C'mon the bino's
  3. Together on & off the park C'mon the bino's I get emotional like many others at times,,but at times like this when we are wanting them to perform on the park we need to back them off the park also We can do this lads
  4. Agreed I'm desperate for us to stay in League 1.....i want us to be a good hardworking team & prove that we belong here,,consolidate in time & look to progress again Play a better brand of football against bigger teams No disrespect but I've done the trips to Peterhead, Elgin, Stranraer & i dont really want to be doing them in League 2 again,, if said teams get promoted then well done bring it on in League 1 .... the league i want my team to be in Hard work, desire, leaders, willingness to keep going Keep the faith C'mon the bino's
  5. Moore wasn't available on Saturday Milne selling the pies...chained to the counter so he can't escape & sneak onto the bench I actually enjoy other's opinions, it's great to have a bit of passion,, I actually think some people feed off the gloom & negativity,, out on a limb but i still don't see Annan finish above us,,that's my main reason for my confidence we will be ok I have belief in the lads
  6. We are a decent team going forward I know that i have Crane as the only holding midfield...but I'd expect Moore & Rudi to tuck in out of possession, same with Cooper I can't see Leitch or McGeachie starting on Saturday....Milne won't start again IMO he's had far too chances & i continue to stick by my thought's he's maybe a decent player in another team but for us he's a player in a team with no position for him....Hilson i think has also been a disappointing signing.... 1 goal between the pair of them isn't enough for me.. I like Spenny alot...my best position for him is an impact striker..taking over from Carrick after 60 mins on his comeback
  7. You will be glad to hear DC training this week & should be available Saturday if no setbacks I agree with BC to remain in goals...I'm hoping his bad luck in doses of 3 are over after Annan & Cove away & Alloa last week my starting 11 1... Currie 2... Cummings 3.... Clark 4.... Mcgregor 5.... McLean Midfield 4... Rudi/Moore RM Cooper & Crane CM McPake LM 2 Upfront Offord & Carrick Subs Banner,,Leitch,, Weir,,Hilson,, Rudi or Moore,, McGeachie,,Spence Lewis Milne in the pie shop until his contract runs down Big game upcoming,,big players needed,,voices need heard on the park & sidelines,, leadership & desire to perform,,be brave,,plenty of dig,,composure on the ball & take it to them,,be bold & brave & have a go C'mon the bino's
  8. We will lose to Kelty obviously no point in us turning up then according to you,, save our leg's for the 7 out of 9 points to follow & if not we are doomed because we will definitely lose the play off Great motivational speaker You've been mixing with QOS fans i think with all that negativity Bino's will be staying up, have a bit of faith
  9. I'm still confident we will avoid 9th It's not being blinkered, i just believe that we have enough about us to stay above the playoffs
  10. Unfortunately though BC did switch off & it was an almighty clanger, & as a goalkeeper there is no hiding place, nobody behind you to back you up,, he wasn't the most clever at the 2nd goal either, not strong enough pushing the ball away and again a simple tap in Don't think the support was aiming it directly at Blair....it was almost the full stand i could hear & IMO was performance related to the team in 1st half...also saw swarms leaving at half time too.. I have to admit whilst still raw & emotionally drained driving back from Cove i was one of the doubters thinking he should be dropped after the game up there,, but in time & thinking logical i knew & know that he is our best keeper & have no doubt he's our No1.... but he's really going through it just now, the clangers are what's fresh in the memory bank of most.... Annan & Cove away & Alloa...i hope that's his trio of bad luck passed & done with I agree with you I'm comfortable with Blair in goals over Mark I hope that we have a positive reaction on our visit to Kelty on Saturday I'd also like to hear more voices & leadership on the park, i think we have been quiet lately C'mon the bino's
  11. The stewardship at Forthbank is pretty sub standard, as previously mentioned in this thread they just stand around, no real presence or deterant for unruly behaviour, abuse & this recent trend of missile throwing, be it stone's or coins, ecigs or flares it's a sad part creeping into our stadium & it's not welcome I don't know what the answer is, but stronger stewardship & Police intervention needs to be more present because there is an accident waiting to happen at some point, football is football but life is precious, i just hope that we aren't the club involved were this type of behaviour causes serious harm to someone. It's not something we want at Forthbank, let's hope that working together we can eradicate this from our club Also if any flares are thrown we need to have a better way of dealing with them, a set of litter pickers & 1 bucket of sand isn't really forward thinking... holding them with the litter pickers till they burn out or players picking them up themselves to remove them from the pitch isn't good... do stewards not have bodycam to review this kind of footage
  12. Last week i tried to defend some of the performances but after today that was a disgrace,, toothless,, spineless,, no dig,, no pride,, just went through the motion's,, couldn't be bothered to tackle,, track back,, showed absolutely no spirit,, there's something not right in that dressing room,, doesn't seem to be any pride in playing football,, it's a privilege but some just take it for granted,, absolute shambolic. Blair Currie had a stinker last week but he topped that this week...the 1st goal was pathetic...the 2nd powderfuff wrists just pushed it into the 6 yd box...needs to be stronger there & push it away,, also Geach not following it & at least challenging instead of a tap in... the games gone, heads down & no belief.. so Milne refuses again to track back,,let's him run past him & Geach running in flip flops WTF how slow....could have subbed anyone after 30 mins..but they are all comfortable in the wee bubble knowing DY won't change anything & they will still play next week.... Absolute disgrace,, they should be ashamed of that performance...fasted they moved was getting off the park at the whistle half time/full time I hope DY comes out & says it as it is because that's unacceptable 2nd half with the changes is easy with Alloa in training mode....the games gone at HALF TIME marginally better 2nd half but still not good enough You can't defend the undefendable.... infact we can't DEFEND at all,, we giftwrap goals... Can't excuse that today... we are so so poor.... things need to be addressed quickly
  13. Don't read too much into the last result against Cove, yes the scoreline says 4-2 i get that...but it was a bit of a crazy 90 minutes, 2 out of character own goals, another tommy trundler & a bouncing ball in the 6 yd box... we did actually play some good football & a passing game,, just individual errors cost us the game... However we do need to step up, only change i might see could be Hilson for Spence.. losing Carrick is a blow but we can't feel sorry for ourselves, it's still in our own hands
  14. Nobody is dropping BC..... btw he hardly covered himself in glory with the 3rd goal either... He's no doubt IMO probably the top shot stopper in the league, but the ball at his feet is flaky to say the least... i think that's easy to see,, if he was better in that department he'd be playing at a much higher level than us... I was thinking emotionally Mon/Tues I'd drop him (not calling for DY to drop him) but of course i thought about it...I've seen all his performances this season & of course he's our Number 1... Mark Weir knows he's only as cover....I have no doubt that he BC will be in goals on Saturday.... every confidence in his abilities... just please use the ball better from the feet ️ Number 1 shot stopper
  15. @SA45 i totally get were you are coming from... On Monday or Tuesday going purely on the pain from Saturdays freak errors, like you I'd have said I'm changing GK for Big Mark Weir & dropping Jojo for Scouse.... but & here's the but.... I don't think DY will do that....he trusts BC as his No.1 & will keep faith just like he did after similar performance against Annan away... likewise i think he will do the same with Jojo... Unfortunately we won't see DC upfront for a few weeks....but we don't let the heads drop...we stay focused & dig deep & come together We have a young lad Kieran Offord upfront who's playing well & confident in a good way The one & only change i do invisage from Saturdays starting 11 at Cove is Hilson coming in for Spence We keep positive & led by Pab's we will get a result C'mon the bino's
  16. True But more so now.... i think you know what i was meaning
  17. Forget statistics at this time of the season It's about desire & commitment to get a result 90 minutes plus...teamwork wins not how the table looks just now...cross the white line & show up
  18. Our final meeting with Alloa approaches us, Saturday 3pm can't come quick enough. Firstly let's hope these wee pyro neds & balaclavas are nowhere near the ground, they are no representation of our club & we certainly don't want them. Football is why we come along & it's what we want to focus on. Ok, so we lost 4-2 last week, with 2 freak own goals & some basic errors.... yes the scoreline doesn't lie, I'm not disputing that... but our performance wasn't as bad as the scoreline showed... for large parts we were the better team..passed the ball well, quick & positive... so I'm encouraged about Saturday & IMO i can see a bino's victory 1-0 or 2-0 We didn't do ourselves justice last time we played Alloa at Forthbank but Saturday will take care of that.. Any changes on Saturday i feel would be minimal Offord will 100% start that's nailed on.. it's wether Hilson replaces Spence upfront alongside him....DC hamstring injury is a major worry for us, especially the workload that he takes on So that would leave us with last weeks starting 4 in midfield McPake left... Banner right...with Crane holding & Leitch in front of him,,, I don't think Leitch has been good lately but we have no replacement for him, i don't think Cooper is DY's choice in this position Only change in the back 4 could be JoJo & Scouse coming in...not because his 2 freak OG'S i just felt his ball retention & distribution was poor at times.... but i think DY will stick with him & his partnership with our Leader & rock at the back Pab's he set's the tone & a great example BC again i think will start, emotionally after last week I'd drop him but now it's mellowed slightly & i think he's still going to be in goals, sharper & switched on... I haven't seen anything of Alloa other than when we play them, they are sitting in the playoffs just now, well done to them so far no arrogance & again IMO i just feel we will come out on top on Saturday..right from the 1st whistle & right at them...DY will have them ready in the dressing room & Pab's on the park Let's hope that we are talking about the football after it, no other distractions off the park Togetherness,, desire & spirit & a bino's victory ️ C'mon the bino's
  19. Not sure on this one, week previous to last he was on international with Scotland, since been on the bench but unused sub
  20. Cancelled by mutual consent He came up to Scotland to be with his partner as she's started Uni at Glasgow...was an agent's punt...but didn't work out...nothing lost
  21. Pmsl Funnily so did i..... certainly can't say the pie's were cold I'd rate them the best away pie's this season The gravy was decent.... i mean who wants a dry pie
  22. I know that the result looks bad...but we looked decent yesterday in possession...we didn't hoof it...we played some decent stuff... Jojo was just what looked like kicking/heading a cabbage at times & Blair was poor...so the focus ultimately is on the 4 goals lost..... but we did score 2 good goals...had some good possession at times....just a bad day....but i do believe in the team & have the ability to finish above 9th...a bit of all round belief together... I'm confident that we will be fine
  23. We scored 2 goals yesterday...Offord is 2 in 2 games.... Carrick has a hamstring so it is what it is... we don't feel sorry for ourselves... I thought we played ok yesterday...just poor defence..put it behind us... How did you think we played
  24. So do you think 40 points is going to be the benchmark for safety if Kelty needs 1 more win With 5 fixtures left can you not see us picking up the necessary 6 points to reach that same 40 points mark I think that we will be fine
