A team in form vs a team that sneaked into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. Should be fun.

Lennon is always with the Smillie guy. Only know of the latter because he used to own Glasgow Rocks. Think he has something to do with PT too
He's our chairman for some reason.

Scottish football needs a strong Partick Thistle.

Look forward to Coyle explaining how Queen's were actually the better team.

No dog in the fight and he clearly can't be associated in an official capacity but banning your own fans from the stadium in a personal capacity looks petty and vindictive. Seemed that they were dealing with it pretty well all things considered by sticking to the facts but you imagine this will only make things worse.

Despite all his history with Thistle I quite like Coyle, but what in the name of f**k is he wittering on about lately? Is he under pressure? Or does he think his players/supporters are stupid? I know he's always liked a moan but this is pretty nonsensical.

may be misremembering but the first goal im more inclined to fault the midfield for letting Thomas run about 8000 yards unchallenged to the edge of the area, fair enough he showed nice footwork once he got there to wrong foot the defence. Just bring him down with a nice, horrible, cynical shirt pull or something and take the booking.
I've not watched it back but Bannigan was injured in the buildup which was probably a factor. Same applies wrt Thomas for the third though.
On Bannigan, not arrogance as it's going to be tight on Friday but I'd rather err on the side of caution, the objective is promotion and there are 2 more hurdles potentially after Friday so possibly better to gamble and keep Bannigan fresh, especially on the plastic.

I do think it was a foul by Oakley just before our second goal, however the only big decision that I felt didn't go for us was Kyle Turner not getting a second yellow for that pathetic attempt of a dive. Aside from that I agree, zero complaints about the ref. Even played the correct amount of added time to account for our two late injuries, despite Coyle complaining about that.
Think Turner just about saved himself as he realised how bad a dive it was and didn't try to appeal for a penalty at all. Couldn't have any complaints if it was given but think after your second Clancy was probably reluctant to make the call.

I pity the poor saps who chose Real v Man City over this one.
Great to see Thomas back on form. He could be the difference on Friday.
I do believe that refereeing blunders even themselves out, so I hope that Clancy is in charge on Friday and cranks up the VHS to watch the recording of his performance last night.
What are the blunders we're looking at here? Actually thought the refs/linesmen had an excellent game last night, I'm not convinced it was a foul on Turner in the build up to 2nd goal and can't think of anything significant they got wrong either way.

Dundee have always had a much bigger latent fan base than us this Century at least. The benefits of being far enough away from the OF while and being able to provide an Ibrox-lite experience.

Number of rubberneckers on this and the Falkirk thread is absolutely shameful.

Think we have to go with Turner in Bannigan's role, trying to control a game with Docherty and Hodson as your holding midfielders in front of Brownlie and Muirhead doesn't bear thinking about.

I don't know if there is any payment per game? It goes into the pot, as does a portion of gate receipts, AFAIK.
That's what I mean, so the gain per club per additional game must be miniscule.

How much are we realistically getting for two extra legs from BBC Scotland? Split between the clubs must be so negligible as to be pointless. Eliminator games would be a much better draw for TV too. It's a crap format.

Have always thought he's a bit overrated but Jorginho was tremendous today. Do wonder what might have been if he'd started more games in the last month.

Please no references to Quarter Finals, thank you.
Looking ahead to next Friday, we will get the same special treatment as the Dees? Getting my sleeping bag out the loft as we speak.

No disrespect but you were up against a team missing 2 first choice defenders, 4 midfielders, including Connolly who's been our best player and 2 strikers. Plus no subs and players that looked like they were just happy to make it to the end of the season. Anyone would have looked good in that first half against us.
You had Scott Brown though.

Have Raith games been £14 all season on PPV or are Rovers shamelessly exploiting the Partick Pound?

Also telling Mason he shouldn't be complaining about the ref literally seconds after a prolonged and personal attack on the ref. The guy is an arse.

If we also didn't have legitimate goals chopped off by incompetent officials this would all be irrelevant:
But it is what it is and we are where we are.
Focusing on one mistake by an official over an entire season rather than the rank incompetence of your board, management and players for the duration is massively cringeworthy.

We're also second if we win and Queen's draw.

Decent shot deflected for Mullen goal. Also fouled for Turner's bizarre showboating free kick.
