  1. Agree with this and hopefully Robertson in the cold light of day sticks up for him. Will get extra media attention I suspect after the Mitrovic incident but not remotely comparable and tbh would suit Robertson too if its just left to lie.
  2. First time with Bannigan and Docherty starting together v QP this season and they've strolled it.
  3. If given the option with hindsight of course you'd want to pump any team with their best players. But without that benefit of course you'd rather the opposition's star players are out. Would you say the same about Larsson or Laudrup at their peak in club football?
  4. It’s definitely a concern, from a Scotland point of view we're fortunate we have McGregor, McTominay, McGinn who are all better than Gilmour in that deeper lying role but I still like the McGregor/Gilmour combination against weaker teams especially. We can afford to wait on Gilmour but there's not a huge amount of emerging talent at centre mid so hopefully this summer he goes somewhere that he's going to get games. It doesn't look like that's going to be Brighton even if Mac Allister leaves.
  5. Unsure what's worse, Clark's performance or McInnes saying it wasn't a red card.
  6. Pollard's foot was blatantly in touch before he kicked that was it not?
  7. I know he's the p***k du jour, but Man City paid £63m for Rodri 2 years ago and he's unquestionably one of the best in the world in that position and a bit younger than Robertson, I think he'd probably make it into any midfield in world football at the moment.
  8. The Aspas challenge on him was pretty heads gone stuff.
  9. Agreed although thought the ref could also have gone easy on him given the game was done, similar to the Cyprus booking on Saturday.
  10. I don't think it was a red, but it looks to me like Robertson raises his shoulder into the contact and catches Porro on the chin. No excuse for the way he goes down and as I say not a red but it didn't feel outwith the realms of possibility that one would be given.
  11. We might be but Gunn definitely isn't, another from the Craig Gordon school of kicking.
  12. Think the fact that McTominay, Tierney, Christie and Robertson won't have played as many games should work in our favour come June while hopefully Haaland and Odegaard have run each other to the wire. Robertson deliberately out his shoulder into Porro and hit him on the chin. I feel like it would have been soft but it was certainly stupid.
  13. Imagine how many we'd have battered them by if KT and McSauce were getting games.
  14. If McTominay continues scoring at his rate over the last 2 games for Scotland he'll get another 159 goals in his next 50 caps.
  15. Not having that there was any amount of luck involved in that result. We were the better team from start to finish and deserved everything we got.
  16. Before tonight Spain had lost 2 qualifiers in 17 years I think (?), WC and Euros. Callum McGregor is an unbelievably good footballer. The best Scottish midfielder of the last 30 years.
  17. This, especially the latter. Not sure anyone else would come close to walking into our starting XI while not getting a sniff for their club.
  18. Jack and McTominay isn't really a contest but Christie and Armstrong are clearly very similar levels. Christie brings a bit more energy and Armstrong a bit more composure, I prefer Armstrong against weaker teams and Christie against stronger teams and think Clarke does too, expect Christie to start on Tuesday.
  19. Think the guy thought it was full time maybe?
