  1. Were we not unbeaten in the last season at Brockville until Dallas robbed us at the ICT game on the final day?
  2. I'll never forgive my sister for sending me a photo of her and my niece outside Holstens. I was raging. When I went out there we drove past it at 40mph.
  3. Just watched the highlights from the Rangers Islanders match from the Metlife yesterday. When I checked ticket availability last week it looked like the crowd was going to be crazy, but it looked almost full. It looked great, but it was bloody freezing. Some comeback from the Rangers as well. Mental overtime finish to boot.
  4. What a waste of money printing all that cash with his face on it. At least I won't need to learn new words to a song this time. Thoughts and prayers obviously etc
  5. Read that 777 have just loaned Everton yet another £30M, that must be well over £100M they are in to these crooks now. This isn't going to have a happy ending, is it?
  6. They are going through the motions to pacify the covid family support groups. Anyone who was in charge at the time would have made some sort of mistake, they are on a hiding to nothing.
  7. This is the UK enquiry just being held in Edinburgh. They will all get the same blame, eventually.
  8. Szoboszlai is a top top player. Underrated so far by most media experts. He looks fantastic.
  9. Scottish Borders have had no traffic wardens for 10 years. There was an article on the news about it last year.
  10. Children buying their own cars? Not heard of that concept for a long time.
  11. You get nice wee slippers to wear up Summit One Vanderbilt as well.
  12. A huge contribution to the problem is grown up children not being able afford their own houses. A family down the road from me have 4 kids in their 20's who all drive as well as the parents cars and his work van. The country is fucked.
  13. Aye, that's why they have gone through 11 managers since Moyes left, and are probably still paying at least part of three of their salaries, and are making astute signings like Alann (who?) for £23M, Sigurddson for £45M, Tosun for £27M nearly 40 years after that. Blame the red shite.
  14. Gets an MBE for services to charity in 2020. Tax dodger in 2024. Good process Jordan.
  15. Better getting stoned in Amsterdam rather than Saudi.
  16. Agreed, the main thing is punishing them for cheating in 2024. As well at Chelsea and Manchester City.
  17. I just checked Everton's transfers in 1985 and as I suspected, that was the summer they signed Gary Lineker before selling him a year later for a huge profit They sold an aging Andy Gray back to Villa that summer, I don't think I;'ve heard of any of the others who left that summer, and I certainly don't remember them going on to any great European success. So, on the back of a European ban they signed a top class striker and only won the charity shield in 1985/6. Liverpool won the double. I honestly didn't know Pat Jennings rocked up at Goodison for a season at the age of 41 though. Every day is a school day. https://www.efcstatto.com/transfers/1985-86/ Research is handy, trust me.
  18. Everton have been their own worst enemies for years, trying to keep up with the club across the park. Remember when Moshiri bought them and the fans were giving it, we're fucking rich. They demanded big signings, they demanded bigger and better managers, they demanded a bigger and better stadium. The owner complied with all the fans demands, but didn't spend wisely. Now their fans are saying it's unfair that it's the fans shouldn't be getting punished. It was basically all down to them in the first place. Leicester and Leeds stuck to the rules and got relegated. Doesn't send out the best of messages, that.
  19. I was going to go and see it in New York in November as I had an evening to kill on my own (I wasn't going to Pink as MSG, no fucking way). Googled it to see how long it was and didn't bother. Did an open top bus tour instead. Anyway, back on topic, I watched Saltburn at the weekend. It was interesting to say the least. Especially the scene that reminded me of Equus, all those years ago. Barry Keoghan's accent was all over the place though.
  20. Player of the match. I blame Sam Smith.
