  1. I'd rather his technique was shite and his accuracy was better! It'll come. The boy's attitude is spot on.
  2. There's definitely a player in Callachan, we've just not seen much of him recently. I must admit though, I'm always expectant of a chance to header anything he looks like striking from 20 yards plus. Even if he's shooting towards the McDermid.
  3. As good a player as he is when fit, I agree. We've had about a full season out of him in the three seasons he's been at us.
  4. I was working on the 31st but I'm off on the 2nd plus another 6. Be lucky if I even see the game.
  5. Why shouldn't he be allowed to go straight back in to the job he had before where his expertise lies? Should everyone who has previous be banned from earning a living doing what they do best?
  6. In his time with us, Perry didn't even look to have the fundamental requirements of a defender. Terrible positioning, diving in to tackles unnecessarily, cumbersome etc etc. Best wishes.
  7. For anyone going to the below mentioned match... Raith Rovers Under 20s will face Dunfermline Athletic Under 20s this coming Wednesday at Stark’s Park in the Fife Cup Semi Final. Kick off is 7.45pm The 200 Club will be open for refreshments before kick off and at half time for tea and coffee. Hope to see you there!
  8. This. Laurie put everything he had into the Rovers both in a playing sense and with regards to raising funds for the club. A top man who deserves nothing but respect from the supporters.
  9. Would an emergency loan permit the player to be over 21? Thoughts on Locke so far? In my experience he's a very likeable person and I'm enjoying the football he has us playing. I was a tad perplexed when we took him on but I'm really warming to him.
  10. No, Rovers supporters, the only monster here is the banter monster that has enslaved Shooboax. I call him Bantor, and its time to snatch Shooboax from his neon claws!
  11. Anyone saying that this is the worst game that they've seen for years clearly wasn't at the game against Alloa in January(?) You know, the one when folk were screaming at McKinnon to go when he was walking down to the tunnel? The desperation to slate Locke displayed by some around me today was depressing. Aye, we were shite today, but can folk try to remind themselves that we're Raith Rovers and might veer towards inconsistency sometimes.
  12. This. The majority of us wouldn't have even considered Locke for the job but he's here now so the best we can do in the interest of the club is support him, his team and hope it all works out.
  13. Should have been at least three up by halftime. Final third in the second half was an inspiration free zone. Fortunately, the penalty covered the strikers' profligacy result wise but we need to take chances like the ones created. My first look at Locke's Rovers tonight. Osei looks like he can create chances out of nothing, I like Barr's direct running, Johnson didn't waste much and McHattie looked fine. My only annoyance with him is that he slowed play down a few times tonight when we were going forward but that'll be eradicated the further into the season we get I'd imagine. Roberts looks like a decent acquisition as well.
  14. Between our potential signing of Skacel and the creditor defying wallopers from along the road thinking they're relevant, the last few pages have fair brought out the roasters.
  15. I've witnessed Chewy licking his lipstick before. That must be like rubbing your helmet with a low grade sandpaper.
  16. Chewy that I posted above is a mitted Ragdoll. He's an affectionate wee thing but he has been going for my daughter in a 'learning to hunt' sort of way. They grow to be a hell of a size as well. Called Ragdolls due to their propensity to just flop when you pick them up.
  17. Chewy. Not like the last cat I ate who just fell apart on the fork.
  18. Suppose wages are relative to location and cost of living. From what I gather, Toshney lives in Dundee so £450 per week is more than enough. Dundonians writing him begging letters and aw that.
  19. I was thinking this as well but tempered that thought by imagining that Locke will check him against a strong Rovers side in training to see how he fares. We could do with unearthing a wee gem or two.
  20. Fair points.I was a wee bit Capt. Obvious there. My annoyance stems from the whole way the transfer went, but on the plus side, we've had a fee for someone who obviously didn't want to be here.
  21. Reading between the lines on Eric's comments on the FFP website (Comfortably THE worst website for mobile devices btw) it looks as though McKinnon has used his knowledge of the club's finances against us to try to obtain Toshney for as cheap as possible. Wee erse. All of my goodwill for him and Toshney has unfortunately evaporated. Shame after the good job they both did last season.
  22. Hopefully the money brought in will enable us to secure a couple of the striking options we are interested in.
  23. McGurn is easily in my top 5 Rovers players of all time, fighting with Mark Campbell and Shaun Dennis for the number one spot. Spoke to him about the adoration he received from the Rovers support and soon learned how much that adoration was reciprocated. Absolute legend and I hope his testimonial is well attended. 'Mon the Cowden!
