Recently read The Blade Artist and thought it was excellent, especially the end... Also read Mr Mercedes by Stephen King. Like The Blade Artist, I power read through this and while it isn't my favourite King book it was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I keep reverting back to happy thoughts about having Bene, Toshney et al signed up for next season. Trying to think positively, any of the gaffers mentioned carry a certain element of risk and none of them were a guarantee of success. I just hope this appointment doesn't turn out to be a guarantee of failure.

I'm voting for Craigen's top corner volley so far. Technique was phenomenal. I'd be happy for one of the other players to change my mind though.

I scored a hattrick against my own team after being loaned to a team who had only ten men because I hadn't been going to training.That was U-16 but I guess the point I'm making is that once you are on the pitch instinct kicks in and the natural determination to win rules over everything. I reckon that'd be the exact same with Craigen but the situation to play him or not is the very epitome of the word 'dilemma'!

I was thinking about the Craigen situation too. I don't doubt the boy's integrity one bit but if he was facing a clear conflict of interest it'd be in the best interests of both the player and the club to keep him out of those games. Tough one.

With a good pre-season behind him, I reckon Robertson might well do a Cuthbert and be immense next season. Happy with Davo re-signing as well. I'm not going to critique him though as only God can judge him and I'm not God.
