  1. Aye, thanks for that, think it proves my point.
  2. Very poor attempt at trying to injure someone I would say.
  3. You're surely at the wind up there? The ball was in front of Longridge who was well away from your player when he attempted to 'get a touch on the ball' He clearly tried to nick him. The highlights don't show it but the defender rattled McManus on the face with his arm. He was lucky to get off with a booking IMO.
  4. I hope it's not going to spoil your Christmas or will you be over it by then? There's potential for lots of things to spoil my Christmas mate. The antics of RR players won't be one of them.
  5. Aye, I know. He's like a wee laddie in the playground. It wisney me ref it wis him so it wis!
  6. Just had a look at the highlights again. I wonder why Hendry wasn't booked when he kicked out at Longridge, especially as the ref had a good view of it? There's also a 10/10 dive by Bowie (surprise, surprise) when Gomis tugs him back. There's also a good photo in the Herald of Hendry laughing at Telfer at the sending off. I think he's happy with the 'job done'.
  7. He had been poor(ish) in the previous two games and I don't think has lasted the full 90 minutes in a match yet.
  8. I was told at the game that Gomis was carrying a knock, however, I met a club employee last night who told me that he was fit but that M&M just wanted to change things up a bit. He certainly made a huge difference when he came on.
  9. Just watched the highlights. No idea what Telfer was doing. They were probably told to 'target' Hendry and he's taken it too literally. Having said that, it wasn't a 'studs up, flying in' type of tackle and he, like everyone else, probably thought he would get off with a yellow. I think Hendry's reaction helped make the Ref's mind up TBH. Gomis's first yellow was unwarranted IMO. Both players going for the ball and collided with one another. If you freeze the footage just before however, you can see Armstrong going in with his studs up and catching Gomis on the leg. If anything, the booking should have been the other way around. Regarding his second yellow, at the time I thought the Raith forward was further up the pitch and that he had no option but to pull him back however there were two defenders there that may have been able to do something so he could maybe have avoided that one. The Raith guy's second booking for the sending off was certainly merited however, I can't remember what his first was for (unless it was he that elbowed McManus in which case he shouldn't have been around to be booked twice) so don't know if he deserved to walk or not?
  10. Yup, I agree. I think if we manage a win next week in the way that we reacted today, we may just have turned a corner. Time will tell.
  11. Both he and Durnan take daft chances at times, today being one of them. IMO Toshney's better than either but he seems to be a bit injury prone.
  12. He did a lot of running too and never hid after the semding off. I thought he was good. I think he'll definitely start next week!
  13. Did you not tell us that a wee while back only to be proved wrong? Or was that somebody else?
  14. I think that's about the most sensible view that I've heard from a RR fan so far.
  15. He's only 17? That makes it worse, must be being coached into him.
  16. Sadly, I don't think it'll matter if he's fit or not.
  17. Meant to say that the big #22 (Bowie)? lets himself down with the amount of diving around that he does because he does look like he's got something about him.
  18. Apparently Gomis was carrying an injury. I'm glad that M&M decided to leave him until half time rather than give him the 1st then take him off as he won us a point by taking one for the team. Buchanan however potentially cost us 2 as I think we would have won if Mo hadn't been sent off! Don't know what the f**k Telfer was doing at the foul, no need for it at all, but it didn't look like a red to me. Longridge was excellent in the 2nd half, really rolled his sleeves up and tried to get the fans up for it too. Well deserved MOTM. McManus again ran his heart out and suckered the defender in to fouling him resulting in the guy getting sent off. Next week will be interesting as we're running out of options in the middle. I thought Millar was comfortable at the back and I'd leave him there if Toshney is fit and drop Durnan, however, he may have to play in the middle as I'd also leave LL up front with McManus. Tidser will surely have to come in from the cold though? Happy with a point under the circumstances and, as others have said, we would have lost that with McKinnon in charge. M&M do seem to have injected a bit of fight into the team, hopefully they can keep that up!
  19. Disagree with that. It didn't work well last week due to the narrow pitch and the fact that we were pish, but I feel that we need to stretch RR as much as we can. It'll be a back 3, not 5, albeit that the WB's will need to defend properly from further up the pitch, but we need to get as much width in the team as we can. I would definitely play Longridge up front as I feel that he's got the ability to take the ball to feet and turn defenders and Sammon needs dropped.
  20. Aye, you're right. Forgot all about Moore. Miller won't be available until January though, assuming he signs.
  21. We have 21 registered players, including a teenager who has been injured since last season and hasn't kicked a ball this. Miller is indeed a registered player, but with Livingston, and McCracken last played for Peterhead last season.
  22. I think we should use Gomis as the sitting midfielder. He's strong enough in the tackle to be able to break up opposition attacks and can pick a pass. He wouldn't have as much running to do either so may last a little longer in games.
